Exploring Aspect Ratios: Find The Perfect Crop For Interior Photography!

In today's video, I am looking at which aspect ration, or crop works best in architecture and interior photography. I show you a location in Cyprus where I think 4x5 works best,an old Greek Church - however, I show you a range of crop options and talk about each one.
This is the final video in the Cyprus mini-series, there is more to come from there and in particular the South of the Island towards the end of the year.

For me, it really depends on the final usage of the photo. I have seen my perfectly cropped image getting further cropped by clients when posting on Instagram (due to Insta limited aspect ratio, and you can only post in the same aspect ratio for a series of photos within a single post) and they definitely look bad. So in this case, it is better to provide the client with the correct aspect ratio for their posting purpose (using the original raw image before- cropping). So a single photo with different aspect ratio options for different purposes.

I always thought that I should give the photos as shot to the clients to have uniformity throughout the session 🤔 could I change the aspect ratio from photo to photo?

In a client case - I would ask them. I see no reason why you can not.
