So so sorry for pulling the previous upload. There was a very weird sound error that occurred upon upload that I had to correct. I have no idea what happened!
James, per usual, another great vid. A couple of things you mentioned resonated. First, the “humility” mindset. Confession: I’d take my rig into situations where I was, honestly, oblivious to those around me as I fought the light, fatigue, heat, cold, rain, hunger, aggravation, the technicals-and me, to eventually get the shot. But in so doing (then), I was making it harder for other photographers who may ever follow in those spaces (and elsewhere)-and in general. I don’t do all that now. Today, shooting is for me and others, a more relaxed interaction. The second point: as an urban landscaper, I too aspire to color, as & when artistically best. Otherwise, I know I can gear shift to B&W and the composition may well come to life in a special way. B&W is for me, a practical, relatable mode, a wonderful “place”. Here, your B&W shots inspire and your techniques are bang on. Perfect timing for me as I head out the door, back to Europe. Take care. Great work; keep it coming. 👍🏽
Good luck on the European adventure. And I really appreciate the comment - thanks for watching. J
Just loved the staircase photograph from the second location, that really works !
Cheers for watching John - how you finding the series? Hope you enjoy.
@@JamesKerwin I just love the stuff you do because it is 'different' in a good way in terms of content and subject locations, keep up the good work :)
Enjoyed this James, really liked the subjects you selected and the second one was especially beautiful rendered in black and white
Yes the second staircase was a winner in black & white. 😊
Another great video! I love black and white! I'm currently working with a 90 year old camera and black and white Ilford film, I have no idea how the photos will turn out.
Cheers James 👍
I was just talking about film with my wife then I saw this comment. Good luck with the project 👍
@@JamesKerwin - Thanks James! Maybe you'll see the photos the next time you come to Pula, I'll pay for the beer, I'd like to show you some places too... Cheers!
Great, thanks!
You're welcome!
