I moved to CA in 1973. Only stayed a year. Again in 1989. That time i stayed 10 years. Financially i had to leave. Cannot live in CA when retired, so have been in FL ever since. Sure saw a LOT in those CA years. Missed Alaska though. Camped IN Sequoia. ALL of my camping was tenting.
Working on a plan right now for next September. Renting a Class B and either doing Yellowstone, Grand Tetons to Cody or Arches, Bryce, Zion possibly Moab and would love to get to Monument Valley, Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon. Two weeks, kills me to leave anything out. But a good start towards my dream bucket list.
I’ve been binge watching your adventures in order, and I normally don’t comment, but when I heard Corey say that you are not wine drinkers, I had to comment, because I thought WE were the ONLY people who didn’t like wine. 🤣 Corey, I hope you find your vineyard, someday.
Good afternoon, I saw you and your family in the campground today while riding my bike. I didn’t want to interrupt you guys, as your daughters were backing the truck up to hitch up and I know how easy it is to skip something while breaking camp. Safe and fun journeys!
Hey Kevin! Thank you so much for taken the time to send us a message. We would have loved to have said hi, but appreciate you allowing us to get hitched up safely! We wish you safe travels as well and maybe we will see you down the road!😊- Jess
Have been to Yellowstone by motorcycle. Miss working night shift...would see the Auroras most nights during January, February. Only seen Glaciers from a great distance, in Glacier National, and from Beartooth Pass. Also by motorcycle. There's many small rugged roads off of Beartooth we had fun exploring. You can easily hike them too.
Sequoia is pretty, but fall is not the best time to visit. Spring is the best!!! Hope you had fun, either way, or either season … Finding our Someday….Finding our Season!! 🌈🦋💗
I have seen all 5 and you are right they should be on the list, but I would add huge mountains, particularly the Rocky Mountains....especially on the million dollar highway in Colorado. My husband and I have driven it in summer and in winter and it is spectacular! I think it is best ending in Ouray, Colorado because coming down the switchbacks is so much fun! I would not take an RV on this road but the drive is breathtaking and it makes me realize just how small I am in God's creation.
Big mountains are spectacular and can be seen while seeing what is on our top 5! We look forward to sharing our time in Ouray this year and driving the RV on that road! 😉 Surprisingly enough, it isn't the craziest road we drove the RV on this season!😂 The most beautiful mountains we have seen were the Canadian Rockies on our way up to Alaska past Banff and Jasper! Just jaw dropping! Thanks so much for watching!
Been their done that. #1 The Alaska Highway, also known as the Alaskan Highway or the Alcan Highway is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend it to y'all if your able.
Great list. I've been putting a list of destinations to go to in each state and these are the things I list for each state: 1. National Parks 2. Climb the Highest Peak in said state 3. Go to at least one zoo in each state if they have any, I'm from Wyoming and we don't have a zoo of any kind in our state, the closest you'll get to a zoo here in Wyoming is Yellowstone and the Bighorn Mountains 4. First settlement & Oldest town in each state. Plus forts and Historical Monuments (I'm a huge history buff) 5. Capital of each state, go in and take a tour (like I said I'm a huge history buff) 6. State Parks/Conservation Areas/National Forest/National Recreation Areas
We have visited most of the National and quite a few State Parks in the western 2/3's of America. They are all unique and beautiful. We travel OFF the interstates so we go through and experience little towns and you'll get to meet a lot of really nice people.
The people you meet along the way are what make this lifestyle so special! Love that you guys have gotten to see and experience so much of this country!🙌
Enjoy your trip up the California coast. Make sure you go to Mendocino coast and stay in Fort Bragg, my favorite campground is Hidden Pines rv park. Then you can go to Sea Pal resturant in Fort Bragg down in the harbor, great sea food as well as burgers. You can take a day trip on Hwy 1 south of Ft Bragg to the Village of Mendocino where many movies have been made. And about 1 hr south of Mendocino is the Point Arena light house. Mendocino county has two State parks on the coast, Jughandle and Noyo State Parks are day parks. If you are here in Feb- March that is whale watching season. I live in Willits, Ca which is inland on hwy 101 and there is a very nice Rv park here, Mendocino Redwoods Rv resort. Happy travels, love your channel.
Seeing Glacier National Park next year. Yellowstone is my favorite park so far since this year. So beautiful. But would love to see the aurora borealis. That is on my bucket list for sure. When things open back up, it will be more easy to do. I hope.
Hello FOSies! Thank you for another grand video! I will say it till you puke….the content, videography, photography, and narration are awesome! Ha….I see the Top 4 list is suffering from the corona virus 25%, and growing to 5! Those are all incredible locations or environments that you labeled! I have been to AK several times, so have seen the glaciers and northern lights. Those lights are mesmerizing! We own some land on the southern boundary of Kenai Fjords N.P. I will probably sell it, but it is an incredible location that is only accessible by boat or float plane. Yellowstone….we used to live on the northeast corner. I really miss that area. We will have to plan a trip up there in the next year or so. Sequoias…..this is where I lack well roundedness. I have only been to John Muir park by San Francisco. It is a tremendous location with redwoods…..but it isn’t THE place. It seems the way forest fires are these days, we had better get up there soon. Awesome locations in this video too! I will be in Palm Springs and LA this coming week. Santa Barbara next month. And also journeys to Dallas, Phoenix, Austin, and Minneapolis this and next month. Safe travels!
I have done them all except Yellowstone. 🥳 After living in Alaska for 14 years I agree 100% about glaciers and the aurora. And...you get extra credit if you have been in a quiet place when the aurora is super active and you have actually heard it! Yes, you can actually hear the crackling of the aurora. Thanks for the awesome video!
Ahhhhh... Southern California. SoCal. It certainly has it's own vibe, it's own magic, with the proximity to the ocean, and the wonderful weather. I spent 3 1/2 years in San Diego while I was in the Navy, and rode my motorcycle all over the place, whenever I could. Great memories, and certainly someplace I'll be going back to soon. Thanks for sharing!!!
We really enjoy visiting Southern California! Thanks for your service! I was based in Norfolk when I was in the Navy! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
We can say, just as of last month, we have seen 4 of your top 5, but will definitely add the Northern Lights to our list. 😃 Might have to add an Alaskan cruise to that bucket list item too 👍😜 Thanks guys! Always enjoy your videos and your beautiful family. Blessings! Rhonda and Stan
Funny... I would like to retire in a castle in France, with a vineyard. I even convinced a few friends to come with me. And I'm not a wine drinker either!! Right now I'm in Rio, Brazil. Planning an RV trip through Europe and then US.
Hey guys, great content as always. Just a note. If you ever make it up to the redwoods again, we are in Humboldt County 5 miles off of the 101on 5 acres. You are always welcome to stay with us, just drop a line. Would love to host you. We are only 2 years into rving with our motorhome. You guys inspire us. Thank you for what you do.
Sequoia is our favorite National park in California. We’re native Californians and have always loved the Sequoia/Kings Canyon area. We really prefer it over Yosemite.
FOS Crew in my backyard !! Wow. I never thought you guys would come through Visalia and camp at Kaweah Lake ! Thats awesome. And yeah. Its hot here ! Safe Travels amigos !
Good plan , on your way to those 5 places you find surprises , this is a awesome Video tucked in between two kind of connected vid’s . Get donuts for the next one and a set belt . Very Good Stills
As a teenager i went on a cross country van and camp trip with a family friend (summer of '75). The adventure was fantastic. The things we saw and did are forever ingrained in my memories but the one thing that just was so amazing was the Aurora. We were at O'Sullivan Lake Nakina deep in the wilderness of northern Ontario, Canada. We would sit up at night and get a show better than any TV. The Northern Pike we got were huge (40 plus inches) and fight like a salt water fish. I can't wait to do it again.
Love hearing stories like this as we hope the girls will feel the same way as they look back on this crazy trip that they took with there parents! 😉 Glad you have gotten to experience the Northern Lights for yourself. There is nothing like it!
You guys were right down the 101 from me! I'm in Camarillo and know exactly what you were talking about with Emma Wood. I lived in Fresno during college and highly recommended the Sequoia National Forrest, Shaver, and Huntington lake. If you're interested exploring the Sierras out that way I can provide some awesome places.
The 101 is amazing and we can't wait to share more of our journey up the coast with you guys! Thanks so much for the recommendations! WE would love to hear all of your suggestion about the Sierra for the next time we are there. Feel free to email them to us at jessie@findingoursomeday.com ! Thanks for watching and joining us on our journey!
Hey! I can't wait to finish that top 5 list. I agree. Arches needs to be on there but not just arches np. One of the coolest ones was in Bryce! And you wouldn't believe the ones we find on the jeep trails!
I was born and raised in California and in fact went to high school in Carpinteria between Ventura and Santa Barbara. LOVE CALIFORNIA, BUT I can't live there. It's just to screwed up! The second I saw your campsite I knew where you were. Surfed there many times. Love you guys
Agree with the 5 bucket list items...however unfortunately there is a 6th. We've done 50 of the National Parks to-date, working toward all 63. Anyway the 6th has to be the Albuquerque, NM Balloon Fiesta. While the National Parks are awesome each in their own way, the Balloon Fiesta is a must do!
Yea for season 6! Opening music, dang I liked it. It worked very well for me. We agree, with your top 5. We have plans to go back to Archs and Yellowstone for the reasons you mentioned. We get lucky from time to time and get to see the Aurora from the farm here in North Dakota. Your video from up north still makes us want to go there and get a better view. Can't wait see where and what this season holds. 1000 days...
Glad you enjoyed the new music. You guys know that music is the toughest piece of editing. Can't wait for you guys to get out there and see the Northern Lights even better than in ND! Below 1000!!! 🙌
Campfix here love those destinations we’ve been to Yellowstone but not as RV’rs (just started our journey last year). Definitely putting them on our bucket list! Thank you for making the journey look so easy and beautiful for all of us❤️
Great video. How do you like the west coast vrs the Florida beaches? Our school year months we do mostly weekend getaways. Then during the summer we want to make those epic road trips. Last summer it was Savannah, New York City, Mystic/ Mystic Seaport, Newport Rhode Island, (My Home town) , Rocky Hill Kentucky, and a Mansion in the middle of corn fields Illinois. Congratulations on creating your someday! And for sharing it with us
Nervous I think that was a understatement he’s was laughing more like but glad you were safe travel well great videos you always show very entertaining and enjoyable too watch
Hope you missed the fires as I have family who lives in Three Rivers. I have visited many times. It is very hot during the summer except it is a dry heat. Instead of the humid heat I live in.
We always look forward to these amazing videos!!Thanks for letting us live these beautiful moments and scenery through y’all!! Happy fall Y’all!! Wish it was fall all day every day especially here in Arkansas!
Great video Corey and Jess! Love the beach and I wouldn’t mind hearing the ocean water at night while sleeping. That would help me sleep. Cory if you had winery I would buy a bottle of white wine because I love white wine. Nice scenery at the end of video. Can’t wait til next video. And we’ll all have donuts. Lol! 😊Have a great week and see you next weekend.
I like your top 5. I’ve done giant Sequoias, Yellowstone, & glaciers in Glacier NP & Canada (Icefields Parkway). Arches and seeing the aurora is still on the bucket list.
We will share more this week, but we definitely recommend seeing the Redwoods if you have seen those big trees and hope you are able to get in arches and the aurora. There is nothing like watching the Northern Lights put on a show!
In this video, you guys were in my old stomping grounds. I grew up in Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley was a regular weekend getaway, in fact the only time I've been horse back riding was a trail ride at Rancho Oso (tho I don't think it was a KOA back then, this was late 60's). I recognized many of the routes you drove, especially SLO to Sequoia, driven that highway many, many times. I also was fortunate enough to work and live in Sequoia National Park one long spring/summer/fall season in 1974...and it changed my life completely, so much so that when I die, I want my ashes scattered there. While one can see the top attractions in the park in a day or two, it's my belief that one can't really absorb the intense experience these huge trees can give unless you spend an extended time beneath them. There was still snow on the ground when I arrived, it was snowing 8 months later when I left, and to see the trees thru 3 seasons is without a doubt the greatest, most magical and spiritual experience I have ever had, bar none. I think the peak experience was sitting at the top of Moro Rock on a hot August night watching a full moon rise between the spires of Cathedral Rocks across the valley...
We love hearing stories like this! Thanks so much for sharing about your time at Rancho Oso and working in Sequoia. Big trees are magical and need to be experienced! We can't wait to share our time there in Sunday's episode! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to share some of your experiences! 🙌
Being from So Cal we’ve been to a lot of these so it was fun to see you travel there. We haven’t been to Emma Wood but we’ve camped at several other state beach campgrounds. Yes Sequoia gets HOT outside of the park. Nice you got to visit. Maybe you’ve seen they just got hit by fires again. 😢
All of the campgrounds in that area looked amazing! We really enjoyed Emma Wood and highly recommend it! We couldn't believe how hot it was outside of the park! 😳 So sad to see the forest on fire.
Nothing like a good dump truck! I think Glacier is on my list. Looking forward to the upgrade tour. Do you have any boondocking spots you remember or used on the beach, gulf coast Al, La, ? safe travels!
That was a little close for comfort! Glacier is definitely one of our top National Parks and scenic drives lists! We have been 3 times and will never tire of seeing it! We have actually never done anything in AL or LA, but we need to soon!
Hey guys, great episode. We're still jealous of the oceanside spot you guys found. So far, we've only seen big trees (redwoods) and arches (Mesa Arch and Arches NP). But, we 100% agree with your Big 5. Someday 😉
You're videos are the best quality! I want to travel to all those places, just have to wait for the hubby to retire so we can spend more than a week or two on the road at a time. (well, we also camp every other weekend spring thru fall)
That sure was scary when that truck guy try to pass you. But great job on both parts. I was sure who honked at who. He’s said it was him. Glad you both made it through.
Big trees are pretty crazy and there is a section of the Redwoods that is like no other place we have ever seen. Excited to share more of the 101 with you guys! And the Grand Canyon is an incredible site and easily accessible as people travel to see the other things on our list! 😃
⭐️ If you are here just for the Top 4, I mean 5😉, you can go straight to minute marker: 10:55!
Have you been to any of the destinations on our list?
Four of the five. Everything but the aurora, unless you count Aurora, NC 😎
@@raykimsey1801 that’s pretty impressive! 🙌
Yellowstone ✔️
Arches✔️
Glaciers ✔️
The rest are still to come!

At Rancho Oso, you were near where I did some work for the Chumash Casino. The area was nice and the drive up the coast line was beautiful.

Reminds me of driving up to President Reagan's ranch back in 1988. We drove up there by accident as we crossed over to The Firestone Winery.
I bet that was cool to see! 😃
Still my favorite Rv family. Love your videos.
We have a bucket list too! Got to have them, keeps life exciting.
Need to look into sumo springs. They will take some of the stress off your leaf springs. Super easy to install.

Love your bucket list....we agree! We are missing the Aurora Lights. Some people say that the lights are visible in MI and WI...don't know.
The Norther Lights are incredible and worth every effort to see them!
Sequoia is our favorite National park in California. We’re native Californians and have always loved the Sequoia/Kings Canyon area. We really prefer it over Yosemite.

I agree with all of your too 5 but I would have to have a top 8 or 10. The Grand Tetons being #1.
We love following your adventures and the amazing photos you post.
Thank you for the great videos and photography!!!

Loved the change in plans! Looked so relaxing and the girls had a blast. Look forward to camping by Ventura Beach someday!
Absolutely loved your top 5 list. I’ve seen two (arches and glaciers) while my spouse had seen zero. We have some work to do when we find our someday!
Looking forward to this exciting season, especially going coast to coast!
Excited to share it all with you guys! Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to the new season! The California coast is so beautiful and there is so much to see and explore!!
Enjoying your videos!!
Looking forward seeing the new season and the upcoming sale of shirts as I ever got the chance to order
Hope you missed the fires as I have family who lives in Three Rivers. I have visited many times. It is very hot during the summer except it is a dry heat. Instead of the humid heat I live in.
We are very thankful that we missed the fires. We couldn't believe how hot it was right outside the park!
Beautiful video. Thank you. Blessings
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!🙏
We always look forward to these amazing videos!!Thanks for letting us live these beautiful moments and scenery through y’all!! Happy fall Y’all!! Wish it was fall all day every day especially here in Arkansas!
6. The Grand Canyon !
Falling asleep to the sound of the waves is the best! If I ever do own a vineyard, we will have a bottle for you, Sherri! 😃
@@FindingOurSomeday Thank you! I would love that! 😊
We will be in Jasper NP in July. Will we see the Auroa Bolarais
Thanks for sharing
You guys are the best
Thanks as always for joining us, guys! 🙏
Great video👍👍
Glad you did not loose another drone!!
Not yet 😂
My 0pinion Ayres Natural Bridge about 17 miles west of Douglas WY should be on everyone bucket list not sure if your trailer will fit
Thanks so much for the recommendation! We will look it up!
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying them! We wish you all the best as you plan for your SOMEDAY after retirement! 🙌
I totally agree!!
The start of an awesome Season! We're anxiously awaiting the episodes! :)
Can't wait to share it all with you! It was a crazy season!
That sure was scary when that truck guy try to pass you. But great job on both parts. I was sure who honked at who. He’s said it was him. Glad you both made it through.
Definitely a close call, but we made it out of there! Thanks so much for watching! 🙏
Wow, I have seen all 5...
Awesome!!! 🙌
Sounds like a great plan! One thing about plans though, they're subject to change lol.
Safe travels and God Bless You!
You got it! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! God bless!
excited to see the new season . and thaks for the very good camera footage.
Can't wait to share this season's adventures with you guys! Thanks so much for watching!🙏
Good list. We have been to Yellowstone and Arches. Hadn’t considered the Auroras but now added as are the others. Thanks!
The Northern Lights are insane and worth every effort to see! Glad to add to the list! 😉
I’ve seen he sequoias and the redwoods plus have driven along the 101. To me, none of that compares to the Grand Canyon. I was in awe.
Big trees are pretty crazy and there is a section of the Redwoods that is like no other place we have ever seen. Excited to share more of the 101 with you guys! And the Grand Canyon is an incredible site and easily accessible as people travel to see the other things on our list! 😃
Tell me more about your wifi booster
