- How to repair a broken USB-C cable.
USB cable connector is broken and needs replacement.
Upgrade Micro USB cable to USB-C without adapter.
This is an old USB-A male to Micro USB male from IKEA.
The Micro USB connector is broken and I decided to replace the Micro USB connector with a USB-C connector upgrade.
Easy to do with a soldering iron and hot melting glue.

From USB Type-A Female to Micro USB male type Micro-B.

Make this cable from new connectors and wires or even better, you can reuse an old USB cable to make this.
Be careful with the USB pin-outs, make sure you get it right and not reversed. It's easy to be confused with USB connectors.

One of the main reasons I was not seeing a tablet as a laptop replacement was being unable to quickly plug-in a USB flash storage drive. Now this works great.

Not a bad ideaa. It's a lot of work.
It's much easier to turn the cable into a usb extension than soldering on the usb-c pads.
@@IONHowTo i have no idea whatsoever is broken on it. Whether its either of the usb-c or the cable. Making an extension could be a solution if i can verify its the plugs that are not working

You adds use a heat gun on low or even warm it with a cig' lighter
