Can we get a video on washing tips to prevent cracking and flakes?
you need textile medium.
mix your acrylic paint with textile medium - one part paint, 2 parts medium.
this will prevent cracking and fading from washing.

I've seen videos where some people just apply the paint to the denim/jean material without the 2-soft. How does that effect the material when it's dry? for example, would the paint dry not as flexible and it'll crack and chip over time?
Correct. First of all, 2 -Soft will help the paint stick and stay to fabrics. It helps allow the paint to adhere and wont chip crack and fade over time. Also, it will keeps the material soft and flexible. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com

What's the washing instructions for hand painted denim jackets? AND do you seal it with anything? THANK YUUUUU
It should be safe to machine wash on cold or hand washing the jacket is fine too. As long as the paint was prepped and applied correctly with 2 Soft then you shouldn't have any issues. How about painting Japanese waves
Can you use a hairdryer for the heat treatmentment or does it have to be a heat gun if so what wattage and what temperature?
Yes! You are not limited to a heat gun. A hairdryer will definitely work as well. You'll definitely want to use the heat source of choice at a relatively low heat setting, nothing too hot, and keep it at a good distance.
Those final steps when you start to really add the colors you didnt add 2soft anymore....will those areas still be "soft" or will they dry out abit on the stiff side...?
Some artists use 2-soft for the last layers and some do not. It is personal preference when it comes to that. However, as long as you apply 2-soft and paint first then you should not come out too stiff. You also want to make sure you do not apply too many coats if you do not use 2-soft for the remaining layers.

It will dry pretty hard and crack if you don't use 2 Soft.

There is no harm in that. Just make sure to have a towel or something in between so that you do not melt the paint or item.
I just bought a 2 soft bottle because I want to customize some shirts.... Do I really need the heatgun for it to work? Or can I also use a hair dryer?
It's very important to heat set so as long as the hair dryer can reach 300º F for 3-5 minutes then it should be good.

Where can you buy a heat gun with 300°F? I want to start using Angelus paint, but I want to make sure I have everything I need before I buy it. And I can’t find a heat gun with that low of a temp…
Possibly could I use acrylic finisher to seal my artwork if I don’t have the protection spray?
The Finisher is not a sealant, it is not needed on fabric. Once the paint is dry, you are good to go.
Can still be machine washable or will fall off?

No, not on fabrics.
Which colours are they called?
Im looking to move in from Pebeo setacolour but this is a pain to have to premix the paint, cant it kust come premixed as a separate range for cottons?

Adding 2-Soft to the paint is the most important part of painting denim and other fabrics. The paint should hold up and last without a problem. For some protection against water and dirt, try our Water and Stain Repellent.
After completely finishing painting and spraying the Jacket, is it okay to put through the wash one time?
Yes. If you applied light layers of paint and 2-Soft then properly heat set for 3-5 minutes then the jacket should be pliable and ready for the laundry.

what's the ratio of 2 soft and leather paint you use? How do you wash your brushes?
Hi! The ratio should be 1:1

Should I heat set between coats or should I heat set after it's a solid color
Some people do both but as long as you heat set at the very end then you should be fine.

It 's recommended to use 2 Soft for overall durability. This will allow the paint to adhere better and not fade after time.
Can i use normal marker (not sharpies) for costumize my jacket? Cause i only have 2 sharpies and that not enough for me to drawing

Which colour you use
While using 2-soft, is it a must to mix it with Angelus Paint, cant we use other branded paint?
We cannot vouch for any other brand than ours. Please note, Angelus Paints utilize a flexible, self leveling, non-cracking formula that adheres to multiple surfaces such as leather, vinyl, patent leather, canvas and more when prepared properly.

How do you wash this Jacket or any clothing that you painted without the paint coming off ?
Angelus paint is waterproof and durable against wear and tear. It is safe to put in the washer but if you're still hesitant, then you can hand wash with any cleaner.

It could depend on the color you're using and how well the surface is absorbing the paint. Most likely start with a god base coat with 2 Soft, heat set and then work up to just the paint itself to fill everything and give it the solid color.
Would angelus work on nylon?
Painting a jean jacket for my daughter...wanting to add glitter...how do you recommend me to seal glitter on top of the paint.
Angelus sell a glitter paint called Glitterlites, they don't needa seal because it has some type of glue in it, i use it on canvas Vans like 2 years ago & they are still like the first day, didnt crack or anything so i'm sure you can use it on a denim jacket too :)

I’m working on my denim jacket, using 2 soft and angelus paint, I’ve seen people put them on the dryer machine after is all done maybe to make them softer??(when using the gag900) do you recommend putting in on the dryer machine after is all done to make it softer?? HELP PLEASE
The reason they may be doing that is to heatset the paint/GAC 900. When working with a fabric medium like GAC 900 or our Angelus 2-Soft it is required to heatset to activate the medium to insure the paints will adhere and the fabrics doesn't harden. For best results, we suggest to Heat-set using a heatgun at 300º F for 3-5 minutes.

Can finished painted garments be dry cleaned?
They can! as long as they are hand dried.
I dont have a heat gun so can I put my jacket in the oven to cure it. Also could you recommend a cheap and and more expensive heat gun to invest in.

Yes, 2 thin is used to thin Angelus Paints. 2 Soft or GAC 900 is what you will need for fabrics.

A blow dryer may be used to speed up the drying time. However, to properly heat set 2 Soft we recommend using a heat gun.
To properly Heat-set, use a heatgun at 300º F for 3-5 minutes (this step is REQUIRED)

No the paints are durable and will not come off. Make sure to do the proper prep work shown in the video and it should come great.

A heat-gun is preferred. To properly heat set, it must reach 300º F for 3-5 minutes.

In many videos i that ive seen you used - Acrylic Finsher, in another one you used - 4 Coat , and in this one you use Repellent Spray, so my question is : What product is correct to use ? First, Second or Third ? Thank You
This depends on the material, and you. Finishers are for sheen, 4-Coats are considered a light sealant and the Water and Stain Repellent is just that. Nothing more.

What if you dont have a heat gun? Can you use an iron on the other side of the jacket(where you painted)?
Not too sure. We recommend a heat however, If that's all you have then give it a try. It's all about experimenting and seeing what works best for you.
I use my wife's hair dryer and works pretty well.
