I just won a set on golf star competitions. 80p a ticket. I get all my top gear on there I never buy out of a pro shop now. I spend about £10 a week. Won a set of mizuno mp245 and a Scotty last year.
I think club manufacturers are starting to get to the limit in all aspects and the prices for such minimal improvements are ridiculous...the everyday punter is waking up i feel to the hyper marketing, alongside that memberships going up,up up,,,,golf establisment itself may well kill the boom of recent years. Best i don't start on the WHS,and slope ratings
Lovely clubs but I’m sure the story with SM9 was the same - lower ball flight and different groove depths for different lofts. Meaning a bargain price on an SM9 makes more sense
I currently play the SM8 wedges I have had them for about 125 rounds. Do you think it is worth it to upgrade from SM8 to SM10 or save $$ and purchase discounted SM9 wedges?
They look great. Unfortunately I don't feel the tech really warrants the need to go out and buy new. I have SM9s I bought at the end of 2022. They will stay in the bag until they wear out.
Would anyone know how much you can bend these? My current PW is at 44 and I can see from Titleist the lowest I can go is 46. Was wondering if I can bend it down to 44.
@@per_growth I found this was the best set up, 6d increments are fine, 46 with similar bounce (around 10) is about 5m shorter than the PW & spins a little more. Other setup is keep the PW & go 48, 54, 60 which I also do if it’s not windy, otherwise I like the option of 2i off the tee with the other setup by dropping a wedge.
Vokeys can be bent up or down (Loft) 02°. This will also Increase or Decrease Bounce the Same Amount. Increasing Loft will Reduce Offset a little, Deloft will Increase Offset slightly. Lie can also changed 02° more Upright or Flatter from Standard Lie Angle. So a 46° can be made into a 44°. Remember to verify the Shaft Length you want. A good Shop can Bend. Shaft Length, and even particular Shafts, can be Special Ordered directly from Vokey.
These wedge grinds are over-rated. Most amateur golfers can't do with the club what it's designed for! I've got two Vokey wedges. They are no better than any other manufacturer's wedges.
Don’t buy the sm10 if you already have the sm9. Bottom line. Only buy the sm10 if your current wedges are completely worn out. 99% marketing 1% actual improvements.
@@g_nw Actually hit these up against my SM9s yesterday. Virtually zero difference in performance. Just a refresh. You really took it as a direct shot at the content creator? Sad.
Managed to buy 3 Sm9’s , brand new for £87 each from my local Golf course ! Couldn’t believe my luck tbh ,

Been looking forward to the SM10s coming out
I got the SM10s for my 54F and 60T to replace my SM5 54F and 60L and I think its a very good upgrade :D

Let em keep making new versions. Prices of the older generation plummet and make it more affordable for golfers.
Still gaming sm5s.No reason to change 🤔

What is the best grind from a mat?! 😅. M grind!😮
Beautiful clubs like always
Getting a 54.08 and 60.04 in that nickel finish. That finish looks sexy AF.

No tech in a forged wedge
There's no way that the 10's are that much better/different than the 9's.

I took out the PW-44 (T100-S) & went 46, 52, 58.
@@craigdavid6668how was it having your 44 out and getting a 46 instead? your losing about 5-7 yards on full pitch shots right?

Don’t think there are much difference from sm9 😂 golfer from Hong Kong 🇭🇰
Agreed glad I went with 9 on sale
These are all the same things said about the sm9 am I missing anything?
Yes this is about SM10
I used to be a Vokey wedge guy, now I'm strictly a Taylormade Hi-Toe 3 guy with the raw face.

It's become a rich man's sport. No longer affordable for most people.

Zero difference. The manufacturers simply need to put something new out to get sales moving again.
