It seems after watching your videos for about 2 years. I have traveled the same path. I was very happy with Gamo. The first gen mag fed Swarm rifles hooked me. I had a Maxim Gen I, Magnum Gen II and a Magnum GR. The two Magnum rifles were return 3 times for side to side barrel deflection. The hinge pin does not hold up to the force needed to break the barrel. Gamo customer service is outstanding. No haggle return and they pay for shipping. They gave me my money back on the Magnum Gen II and the GR was exchanged for a lower powered Varmint rifle and a bunch of targets. The Varmint has a next to nothing cocking effort. The hinge pin should hold up. At it low price point, performance expectation are low as well. Advertised at 1,200 fps in .177 is very optimistic. I'm getting 783 average fps at 10.75 fpe with crosman hole points. At first, refusing to pay more than 200 dollars for a toy gun. I now own an HW 90, Diana 48 and my favorite and most accurate break barrel, Sig Sauer ASP 20. The pursuit of accuracy and power is a costly game. No PCP's in my future. I'll go rimfire for better range and power. I draw the line at scuba tanks and air compressors....Great video as always. It's good to see another Christian brother.
You’re so right i upgraded my Gamo’s for hw98, 97 and 57, yes all three are that good. The build and accuracy are remarkable in comparison. However for a new shooter Gamo have their place
Bought a Gamo last week, first shot out of the box.. didn’t work, some kind of defect in the gas spring. That was Gamo for me. Brought it back, bought a Weigrauch in stead 😊
Good points on the Mach I. I didn't realize the wedge was polymer too. I don't know how well all that polymer will hold up, but I'm going to run mine until it pukes....grin. I've done a couple velocity tests with the Mach I and the CPHP 14.3gr. (4000 ft el.). At 70F - 765 fps. At 99F - 780 fps. Very consistent velocities in both tests. Enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing!
as soon as i replaced the coil spring with a gamo gas ram it was instantly more accurate due to less vibration and as for the gamo RRR you have to not tighten the front 3 screws on the long part as much as the 2 on the back part. its easy to overlook that kind of thing i know and also maybe gamo should state this in the manual
👋🏾sup brAh! The only two break barrel Gamo I own are the bone collector gen 2 and the varmint which both barrels are covered in polymer. These are my first and last Gamo break barrels I’ll ever own because of the barrels are covered in polymer and the lock up just looks cheap. Gamo made it this way to cut cost and the cost cutting goes to the consumer so I can see why Gamo chose this route. Better off paying the extra money a get a better springer! Buy once cry once😉 braddah👊🏾😎
They look amazing the Gamos. But they spend a ton on promotion. I hate the commercial about hunting a hog with this rather small cal and weak Gamo break barrel. Gamo got me back into airguns tho. The CFX wood underlever. My 2nd was I think one of the Shadows in .22. From there it took off into pcp's and Weihrauchs. These Cat triggers are at least a huge upgrade. We had to buy a " Charlie da tuna" trigger and install it into the old trigger systems. Which made it a bit better. But, NO Gamo for me ever again. Great video again.
They look like nice rifles, but I could never own one in my state because of the silecers. I have an old one fronthe 80s, but its so rusted up, I don't think I could bring it back.
The fact that they don't want to provide most of the parts is a big negative to me! Looking at the RRR recoil reducing rail video from Gamo it seems like the only way this will do anything is if you don't tighten the front part of the mount too hard... *But this doesn't makes sense since the scope would be rocked even harder by the rail ?! 😂*
Exactly, and it does not have a spring inside of it. When I was using it, the front part was smashed into the back part, leaving no room for a cushion for the scope. 😳😂👍
I think this is the only video I have seen where the negatives are pointed out on Gamo break barrels. People are usually drooling over them because of the brand name.
Yes, if they would just up the quality in a few areas. I really like that Gamo Magnum Pro Elite, but not the gas ram. They could get rid of the big ugly silencer on it too.
Great video Chuck.. 👍🤘👌 I had the Gamo Maxxim Elite Swarm in .22 , I sold it 😂😂 its was a good fun gun and reallly pretty accurate and powerful with power restrictions under Scottish laws👍🤘👌.. I do fancy getting a Weihrauch though.. HW97, HW98.. or HW95 Luxus.. I have an Air Arms TX200 Hunter carbine Mark 3... its a lovely gun 👌🤘👍 also I meant to say I laughed at your video doing pest control with your son.. like he is the pest, so just shoot him 😂😂😂 that was funny. Anyway Chuck take care.. peace and love to you and your family from Scotland 👍🤘👌
1 They lie more about velocity more than anybody I've ever tested. 2 I'm told they won't sell you parts. 3 The pellets suck. 4 2.5mm trigger screw I've never found one.
I have 3 airguns a slavia 631lux, a gamo black 1000 igt and a HW97k. I WANTED TO SAY THAT GAMO REALLY SUCKS!!! ITS ALL PLASTIC AND WHERE IT SHOULDNT BE LIKE YOU MENTIONED!! I THREW MY MONEY...

Thank you so much Ken for your great comments and being my brother in Jesus Christ! 🙏😃👍

I didn't check my gamo barrel but thankfully it seems to stack em in the same hole at 20y. Informative vid. God bless.
Thank you 🙂👍

Great decision 😃👍
That is the way to go.
They were always built like high end toys to me. Every single one I ever handled gave me that impression. Some look cool though
The Gamo got me into shooting air rifles again and I'm thankful for that. I just wish that Gamo made a better product.

Thanks Shane for your detailed comment.

You can crank down the RRR screws as tight as you want and it still won't do a thing to save your scope.

Sorry to hear that. You could always cut the suppressor off. 👍
Great new video my dear friend. That's true, Gamo had so differents quality of rifles. Have a beautiful day 💀 👍
Thank you, have a great evening 🌃🙂👍
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Thanks my friend 💀👍
I shoot my gamo igt open sights only. Alredy damage a scope...
But on my hw30s. I have a scope.
Those gas pistons are very destructive on scopes.

I want to be fair to people and let them know about the product, the manufacturer, Airgun Angie or Rick Eutsler for sure won't let people know, lol.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I 👍
I agree
I agree with everything you say about the gamos they just dress it up. It all looks but nothing else.
The only rifle they did anything different with was the Gamo Magnum Pro Elite, but they still kept the gas ram.
Very informative. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you David 🙂👍
The accuracy of Gamo rifles is good, but there are too many complaints about the material quality..
Yes, if they would just up the quality in a few areas.

Weihrauch, here i come! 🤗
Definitely the best 👍
The one positive. You can leave it in a humid garage for years and it won’t rust like any blued rifles. Ask me how I know…. 😆
The barrel might not rust, but the compression chamber could.
No more gamo for me,the only Spanish gun that I like are the Norica and Cometa.Gamo are only good at advertising.
They can have some accurate rifles, but they are not built to last.
1 They lie more about velocity more than anybody I've ever tested. 2 I'm told they won't sell you parts. 3 The pellets suck. 4 2.5mm trigger screw I've never found one.
I found a screw at our tool store 🏬.
After all the problems with Spanish made Black powder guns blowing up in peoples faces, it made me Leary of anything that's made in Spain.
Didn't know about that one.😳

They are okay, for what they are, but the price tag is too high for plastic 😀👍
Gamo expensive fence post. Wouldn’t waste my money not made to last
