Tifa knows Cloud wasn't there (at least as far as she could see), but she also knows that Cloud isn't lying (cuz why the Hell would he?) and clearly believes everything he's saying, AND she's hearing him relate details that only someone with first-hand knowledge could be privy to. In short, she's in a paradoxical mindfuck of a situation, so she just listens with the occasional probing nudge here and there trying to make sense of it all and to reconcile all these seemingly incompatible truths. I think she deals with everything perfectly, all things considered, and I don't know why some ppl give her so much grief about her handling of things.
Mhm. Plus, there’s nothing to gain from accusing Cloud of lying cause A. He’s recounting details he can’t know of, but she does. If anything, her testimony would support his. B. There’s no telling what could happen to their relationship (which already has a couple of strains) if she confronts him about it C. Maybe she wasn’t completely sure if she was remembering correctly.
I love that they preserved Sephiroth's laughter when reflecting on his father. My take has always been that he realizes, in that moment, that Hojo is the closest thing he has to one and finds it darkly hilarious. If only he knew...
so #1 there is ZACK on intergrade who went back to the church with no scratches on him... to find out aerith isn't there and ... #2 This Zack that went back to Midgar all scratched up and bruised with cloud that found out about what happen to aerith and the others...
The camera work when Cloud visits his mom and the abrupt cuts to the next part with his mom where you can't see her face... I interpret that as Cloud basically having a painful memory of that moment and not wanting to relive it. That static parts are probably an effect of the experimentation and mako exposure that Hojo subjected Cloud to.
Thank you for streaming the prologue as well... I only have a laptop, so I obviously don't have access to Rebirth, and I want to experience it at the same time as everyone playing it. Not even five minutes in, and I'm crying over here!! 😢 Subbing so I can watch more of your stuff. 😊🎉
The only reason Tifa wasn’t completely sliced in two was because she was falling away from him and he didn’t have time to properly angle his sword and still hit hit so he only managed to slice her an inch deep Which is still a super life threatening injury
A lot of ppl have misinterpreted Cloud's "You know I can't tell you that" as him cruelly withholding info from Tifa (like it's classified info or some BS) when that's not at all what he's saying. He means that it's literally beyond his capability to tell her because he doesn't know. As he said mere minutes earlier, his memory is a blank for that space of time.
People seemingly want to dislike Cloud or take sides in regards to his shaky memories causing plot holes in his recollection of events like he is somehow 100% accountable for it. Honestly as someone who related more to Cloud than Zack, it's really god damn annoying. Especially the more sympathetic they act in regards to Sephiroth, who had way more agency and was more responsible for his own actions, thoughts and words than Cloud was. Aside the circumstances of his birth, Sephiroth made consciously morally bad decisions one after another.
Lookin for someone to watch play this amazing game and just randomly clicked here. I'm 22 minutes in and the vibes are so immaculate, insta subscribe holy hell am I excited.
I think I need to restart, I met Aerith first in Kalm and accepted her "date" and missed everyone else 😆 Also, that question from Tifa feels like she's probing Cloud, testing his memory 😄
Wait could we have gone on a "date" with Tifa instead or smth? Or hang out with Berrett? Or do u mean u just went straight to the tower after accepting her date?
@@Impulse1912 I talked to Aerith, and went to the clock tower with her. Later met all, and they asked where we've been. What I mean with missed, is that I never got the chance to talk to the others. Thus missed relationship points.
@@BerishStarr ahh gotcha, i met with her first and accepted her date but found the others and talked to them before going to the tower. When i met with them all after they still asked where we've been tho so that doesnt change
I think the scene with Aerith in the bedroom was explaining a lot. If you know Tifa, you know she will always blame herself first. In the bedroom it shows, that she is actually doubting her own memory at that moment. She doesn’t remember Cloud being there, but he is telling the story to the level of accuracy of someone, who must have been there at the same time. So naturally for Tifa she goes “What is wrong with my memories?” Plus she has already suffered memory loss after that mount Nibel incident in childhood, So she thought it Maybe happened again, either by the trauma from her injury by Sephiroth or the Whispers. Yes, she also had doubts about Cloud, but about herself as well. That is why she doesn’t challenge him and rather chooses to talk to him later to figure out, where is the truth.
1:59:36 -- This is the one moment of confusion that I share with the characters. I played the OG, and am about 99% of the way through Rebirth, and I'm still at a loss as to what this "Huh?" between them was about. So Tifa's recollection is that neither Seph nor Zack dined with the mayor, but is Cloud's "Huh" meant to suggest that he recalls things differently? The only thing I can figure is that maybe real Cloud (Shinra trooper Cloud) _did_ dine with the mayor, but his fkd up memory thinks that he was doing so as full-fledged Soldier Cloud, which would then account for why he's puzzled when Tifa says the mayor was disappointed about not dining with any "bona fide Soldiers". Is this right?
Genesis taunting Sephiroth in the reactor isn’t in this version as the story is told from Cloud’s perspective. But hopefully we see some glimpses of Genesis in Part 3. They need to explain how Genesis ended up at the bottom of the sea by Dirge of Cerebus
When the villagers just stood there not shooting Sephiroth it was like that scene from Jurassic Park. "Shoot her! Shooooot her!" I yell at the monitor. A gun is a ranged weapon, so there was no need for them to be that close. And why didn't Zangan try to fight Sephiroth? Sabin would've suplexed him on top of a burning pile of rubble.
So, what I think happened in the opening is that Barret and Tifa didn't survive the destruction of Shinra while Aerith and Red did but were unconcious. Red woke up mid flight and attacked the pilots, when the helicopter crashed Red died, then Zack carried Aerith away and she died in his arms
cloud is "unsconsiously" evade any question about 5years ago because it would be ruin his persona. its self defence mechanism/mental defence. tifa cant push it because cloud is true at some point, she just want to reconcile it. the problem is why just cloud disappear after that, what is you doing, maybe she feels it since remake that cloud is always evade that things and she should be iritated but cant iritated because shes likes cloud at some point. likes because cloud kind of prince charming back then. he save her
It took me 23 attempts to beat Nene. She ended up passing several turns towards the end so I was able to win Do you think there is luck and RNG involved?
After almost 4 years of waiting and it being my most anticipated game. I didn't know how I was going to feel finally playing it. And surprisingly I had mixed feelings. Not in a bad way, it's just that it's almost too much to take in... I mean the way it starts, that cliffhanger with Aerith... And then that whole argument with Tifa. In the whole first part I don't think I ever saw Tifa get negative. That got a little dark between Cloud and Tifa, I mean at least compared to anything we saw in the first part. And then it's like the game says "Oh by the way, now go enjoy this beautiful vast open world"... Except I'm already kind of hurting emotionally. It reminds me a bit of the Last of Us 2, where it gives you a good gut punch right out of the gate and then you still have to play the rest of the game.
Tifa is my # 1 waifu for a reason. And it's not just her looks either, most of my other waifus are kind of nerdy or antisocial, Tifa just happens to be a total babe... Make fun of me but I take my waifus seriously and I actually have a top 10 list. I play a lot of visual novels and watch a lot of anime and my waifu list is based on the characters circumstances and how they relate to the story. In Tifa's case it's her tragic relationship with Cloud that always pulls at my heartstrings. I call it tragic because from what I've seen so far Cloud takes her a bit for granted sometimes. As do so many other people who jump on the Aerith bandwagon when Tifa has been there from the start, way before Cloud ever met Aerith.
Bro, I love Final Fantasy but it's a GAME. You don't need to read too deep into things. I like anime also, just started the remake of Spice and Wolf. (Highly recommend, btw) But your cringe comment is why gamers and anime nerds get made fun of all the time. I have social skill issues too but I make an active effort to work on them. Get your head out of the clouds, man!
I for one am really happy there is a dynamic difficulty. At least that way I can do absolutely everything without the risk the game becomes a complete joke after chapter 2.
Similarly, it actually de-levels content if you would otherwise be weaker, so someone can rush through but still stand a chance at some endgame sidequest. (itd still be tricky I imagine). Hard Mode will be flat out hard though.
@@SwobyJ Yeah, I guess that could potentially happen if you really rush it. But I hope there is a special place in hell for people that rush through a masterpiece like this :).
@@already_in_use_ I'm okay with people that focus on the main story because they have a busy life but want to get the gist of things. No hell for them, imo.
@@SwobyJ Obviously people can play however they want, that's why it's great those different difficulty options are there. But even people with limited time, I would still advise not to rush it. Even if it's the only game they play this year, it would be worth it.
