Apollo I had faith in 343 back in 2012. I'm one of those people who loved Halo 4. When the MCC debacle happened, I stood by 343, insidting that it wasn't their fault. And when Halo 5 was close to release, my only worry was that the community wouldn't like the multiplayer, like Halo 4. It hasn't even occurred to me that the story might be subpar, let alone the trash that it was. It was Halo! How could the story be bad? But it was. And for a while, I lost hope in Halo. But with all the reports of Microsoft having been responsivle by meddling in 343's plan, rushing release, etc., I saw a faint ray of hope. And then this game... it turned that faint ray into a "luminous sun." I hadn't even thought about the music being bad in Halo 4 & 5, but hearing this soundtrack makes me realize that it wasn't Halo like I used to know, and this is. The old art style is back, and while I don't hate the new style, my God is it great to see actual Elites again! But most important to me was the story. I was very worried. But hell, if this isn't one of the coolest stories in Halo yet! Instant classic imo. That, coupled with Bonnie Ross' recent comments about splitscreen's return, I think Halo is back!
@@emmetbayne2561 Halo was never lost. When i first Played Halo 5 i shouted to myself "Halo is NOT YET LOST!" but then i realized something i tried to make the story good, i tried to make the story make sense.... and i Managed to come up with something that could save halo 5's Reputation for good. i will explain what i came up with later tho. and when i do Comment my explanation, Spread The Word! Make it Popular Make all the hope the fans like me and you lost come back even More than with halo Wars 2! Ok now that the insipirng speech is over, it ain't gonna be great but it will be better than what 343 said (nothing). Finally The Explanation (I Had To Dig Down A Lot): Option 1. If We Take Halo Guardians As NOT A Masterchief Story But a Story Mainly For Locke (Like Halo Reach Was For 6) It Makes Kinda Sense. If We Take Locke As Something Like 6 (Locke Was An Assassin So He Ain't As Sh*t As We Picture Him To Be, He Was Like 6 Not a Hero [Can't Beat Chief But Can Still Deal A Little Bit Of Damage] But Still Someone With Some Experience And Ability.) It Makes Sense That he Didn't Get Absolutely Rekt By Chief But Still Didn't Manage to Defeat Chief Because Chief Is Just Better, And Then Chief Was Still Pictured As Someone Important But If It's Mainly a Locke Story And Not a Masterchief Story that Means That Chief Will Get Some Missions But The Majority Of Missions Will Be With Locke Then Again Chief Is Way Better Than Locke But Locke Was An Assassin So For Locke Taking On Someone Better Than Him as a Soldier Wasn't Strange But of Course He Didn't Succeed In Capturing Chief Because Chief Has Just Wayy More experience Than Locke. Now The Halo Guardians Campaign Should Make more Sense and should Be Considered Ok. Or Option 2. We Don't Play As the Main Character But Are Tracking Down The Main Character Wich Is Chief.
Davy Cannonhound I can't say the same, it realy is doing its own thing I'd say. It doesn't realy include anything from the previous games other then halo wars 1.
phattUncleDave's I was half expecting their alliance to break, and have the Sangheili join the humans just like in the good old days. Would also have been cool if Shadow of Intent answered the distress call, since humanity was busy with the Guardians.
I even envisioned the Spirit of Fire caught between Enduring Conviction and Shadow of Intent, as the latter drops out of slipspace. Imagine the SoF's crew's reaction: "Sir, new contact slipping in!" "Someone answered the distress signal?" *Assault carrier drops out of slipspace* "Oh no..." *Shadow of Intent fires all weapons* "Brace for impact!" *plasma passes the SoF* "They missed... Why?" "They didn't miss, sir..." *plasma hits Enduring Conviction* *queue epic space battle*
Love this soundtrack! Honestly think it's a step in the right direction for 343i. Bring finishing move into the development of halo 6 and you'll have a soundtrack that truly will be a masterpiece of it's own, whilst retaining the halo soundtrack we all love. Marty was an amazing writer and composer but for halo 6 I think it will require a new, much needed cinematic approach to further integrate with the deeper narrative. Finishing more understand halo's icing sound a lot more than that of Neil and jinoichi do
so if Halo wars 2 takes place after the events of Halo 5, and im pretty sure Halo wars and Halo wars 2 weren't mentioned in the other Halo's does anyone think that Atriox and his army (The Banished) we'll have an appearance in Halo 6 or maybe mentioned, because it seems like Atriox is preparing for something big. Don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't bet the game yet.
Emmet B Alright nice, Halo 6 seems like its going to be pretty crazy if Atriox does play a big part in it. Oh man its going to be good, thx for telling me man
Pretty weak if you ask me.. Disc 1 is generic action themes only with a repetive (boring) leitmotif without any climax and disc 2 is ambient music (I like ambient music), but compared to HW 1's soundtrack pretty trivial. Each of Rippy's songs had something unique and nearly every of his tracks can wipe the floor with these ones. I also liked the Halo Spartan Assault/Spartan Strike soundtracks. That was a good ambient soundtrack. 343 should have hired Stephen Rippy again or Tom Salta.
This is more of a cinematic score than it is a game soundtrack. There's some good moments in here, but to me, this isn't a halo soundtrack. This is something different almost entirely, and at one point it sounded like something out of The Hobbit. I'm honestly let down, but I wouldn't dare dislike the video! Its a shame they didn't get Stephen Rippy again :(
duracotton right? I haven't even heard of the composers when I looked them up. It's like when assassins creed unity came out. All of the sudden the music went in way different direction
halo 5's score was good, but it uses so many strings, and not only marty knows hot to do soundtracks, yeah maybe some halo 5's tracks sounds a bit non halo like but there are some that are pretty good
Thats why it was so good. Extremely thematic and cinematic. I thought of the elements of H5's campaigin, the score was one of the best. It doesn't have the atmospheric feel of Marty's music, but man I love it.
HD Simplicityy Tbh I didn't really find any of halo 5s music particularly compelling or cinematic. Usually after every halo game I play, there's a couple of tracks in my head I want to listen too that are really iconic, but in Halo 5 I didn't feel there was a single track apart from Blue Team that was particularly special. I feel Halo Wars 2s is much more cinematic however
0:35, 53:37 and 58:02, the melody we all know and love.
i know its fantastic
The "Spirit of Fire" theme remains as one of my favourite OST from Halo Wars. "Recommissioned" certainly captivate my ears.
What a beautiful score. This game is really a return to form for the entire series from a musical, narrative and visual standpoint.
Apollo Oh absolutely, and with this game being connected to halo 6, say hello to old classic art style..

I love when a sequel uses one of the most beloved themes of the previous installment.
Heads Up Display right?
What track has the Ghost of Reach tune?
Halo 2 I think.
What the fuck else would it do?
yeah, chills....
I hear Reach, 3, 2, 1, Wars, and 4 all in one OST. Ots glorious.
Davy Cannonhound I can't say the same, it realy is doing its own thing I'd say. It doesn't realy include anything from the previous games other then halo wars 1.
Davy Cannonhound I also hear Star Wars stuff every now and then, is it just me?
No, bro me too and Destiny music vibes, especially in the Barren track
Gordy Haab did the Star Wars Battlefront OSt aswell :)
Davy Cannonhound You could hear that Halo 5 tune where the Guardian appears. It was only for like half a second.
The next chapter for the Spirit of fire against all odds they will succeed because " Where you see a thousand man crew, I see family"
I hope that Cutter or all of Red Team don't die.
"And where you see one old ship, I see home. And that is always what fighting for!"

Jordi Lopez Worth Worth Worth!
*Word word word!*
13:23 Ohhhh I'm having a crisis.
05 Amethyst - 00:12:16
09 Run Little Demons - 00:28:32
16 Abolition - 00:51:20
Who the hell disliked probably Atriox.
Probably 9 Grunts, who are just seriously butthurt, because they are cannon fodder in every Halo Game.
*In before next Rebellion of the Grunt*
32:46 Holy shit that is chill-inducing.
Yeah first time hearing this in the cutscene gave me goosebumps
38:50-39:15
I can hear you channeling the sound of the Scion's demise (Old Republic: Eternal Throne) almost tone-for-tone, Gordy Haab.
And I approve!
this is awesome, and i hate to be "that guy", but i am still waiting for that amazing track from the trailer ;)
which one the one that introduced blitz mode?
Fresh new halo music, HYPE train coming. buying game now
Atriox and Decimus disliked this, and Let Volir/Shipmaster secretly liked this.
phattUncleDave's I was half expecting their alliance to break, and have the Sangheili join the humans just like in the good old days. Would also have been cool if Shadow of Intent answered the distress call, since humanity was busy with the Guardians.
Tiberiu Marian If only...

God dammit 'Volir! Wait till I get my hands on him! I'm gonna stick my great hammer right up his ass! Hahaha!
Atriox Haha, fair and nesecary!
I hope there's Actin Figure Hands and Insignificantia ramake
holy shit yes
Mr Haab, great Job :D
holy fuck why do the banished/atriox have such a sick theme
musik ist das göttliche in der seele.
Abolition is insanely energetic.
5:17 reminds me of the ebon hawk from KOTOR 2 :3
Hairy McClairy more of a reach vibe

This is awesome!
this has just pulled halo right out of hell for me
and why are there 8 spartens in this picture
343 really pulled their weight on this one. Let's just hope they can do it for Halo 6 C:
Spirit of Fire is here again!
i hope one day they put the full version of the trailler music (i know you (the white buffalo))
I'm looking Everywhere for it!
Fantastico game 😍😍
Wow thats fast
barren was my favorite
I like it more than the soundtrack of Halo 4 and 5
Abolition. 'nuff said.

Danny's Tutorials & Guides There are reports that Halo Wars 2 ties directly into Halo 6, so I'd say there's a good chance we'll see him
Emmet B Alright nice, Halo 6 seems like its going to be pretty crazy if Atriox does play a big part in it. Oh man its going to be good, thx for telling me man
Man I have some news
Barren 1:55 my favorite
Where can I download them?

What the hell happened the first time?
+Keenan Robinson (EternalSolitude) The video got taken down because the music leaked early. This is officially released, so we should be good now.

Aegis Mind well it isn't ass just different
Lauren Anderson he didn't say he hated it, he felt like this would belong somewhere else, not in halo, but in a action film or something
ScrubbaNubNub word. I didn't even know what to make of his response lol. The sentence doesn't quite make sense
Thanks. Feeling the same. HW 1 soundtrack was awesome compared to this..Halo themes everywhere..This here is just some random new 343 thing..
duracotton right? I haven't even heard of the composers when I looked them up. It's like when assassins creed unity came out. All of the sudden the music went in way different direction
the only song i want is the white buffalo - i know you
this doesn't seem to sound very halo. maybe star wars and other orchestral themes
Zonies Coasters your not a real fan if you dont hear some halo in there...
Its good, but not on par with Halo 5 or Marty's work.
Halo 5's score wasn't that good though.
