About Finnish women not saying "I love you" too often because they don't want to repeat things that feel obvious to both - it's true. I'm a Finnish female myself and I tend to express my affections more with body language. Especially hugging. Unless my guy needs saying it often verbally, that's when I'm willing to adapt to that exception.
I love this! I married a Finnish guy after an extended social media courtship. Just be honest with Finns and punctual and you'll never find anyone sweeter or more kind. My husband is a bit weird, though, because he tells me that he loves me every day. Kiitos!

I'm an American Finn, I don't lie or brag, I don't see the point and feel like if I have to repeat it just means someone wasn't listening, I'm actually dismayed. When I hang out with friends it revolves around an activity not talking unless it's the bar, the bar is where I tell my stories and listen to new stories, in relationships I value my time alone as much as my time with my gal. I do not need to be cared for or have to care for another all the time, I find it very beautiful if a girl is independent, honest, chill, and open minded like me, one who doesn't need to be the center of the world or need to speak every thought
