- What color is your pet? Your beloved pet's personality is shaped by many things: their breed, upbringing, and even the color of their coat! That's right! Studies confirm that every fur color has its own specific feel to it!
According to a study published in the journal Applied Animal Behavior Science, the different colors that English Cocker Spaniels come in can actually reflect their behavior and personality. Another study from the University of Sydney discovered that, on average, chocolate Labrador Retrievers don't live as long as the golden and black ones do. Scientists believe it may be recessive genes to blame. So fur color really does make a difference in both health and personality! But what about your fur baby? What does the color of their coat say about them? Let's find out!

- If there was an award for the goofiest and funniest pets, dogs and cats with orange-colored fur would win every single time! Apart from the obvious fact that ginger cats are simply adorable, they're also very friendly and awkwardly cute.
- Black and white cats are very resourceful, affectionate, and clever. A lot of these cats make friends easily but not for long.
- Seal Point cats, like Siamese kitties, for instance, are honest, assertive, and vocal. They often choose the “leader of the pack” in the family and express their love to them in particular.

White brown and orange. He is a loving dog and doesn't bark or bite people he also loves everyone he sees. He also was born as a runt with a stub tail and his mother took care of him more then any else of her puppies. He has had a pink nose all his life. He has A LOT of energy and is really loyal to me and my mom and brother and dad. He misses us when we go anywhere at any time

I had two females from the same litter. One was a beautiful Tuxedo and her sister was a black/white/brown mixed markings. Totally different. My Tuxedo was elegant, alpha, easily trainable, and loving. Her sister was not the brightest bulb - liked to find tiny places to hide. She didn’t like to cuddle but would meet me when I pulled into the driveway. She walked like a little bulldog, while the Tuxedo glided gracefully. Loved them both, lost them to disease last year. Would get another Tuxedo in a minute. Fabulous, smart cats.
I grew up with an orange tabby. Her name was Sunshine and it seems she was not the most typical female orange cat. She was large in stature and our vets said she was larger than most females, she was very vocal especially with me. She was very friendly and bold. If a new person was at the house she would be there in 5 minutes or less. She was very in tune with my emotions, but she could do even more. She was able to identify the person who had bad experiences with cats or just uncomfortable in every group of people in the house. She had a mission to change people and their views on cats. She would make her way onto the lap of the said person and sit, purring and waiting for pets. Friends have said that they were afraid/disliked cats but they have a new opinion or that they loved her even being distrusting all other cats.

I have a grey cat, and your description was spot on. She likes to sleep (when she does sleep) right up next to my head. And purr, like a Rolls Royce engine. She will not let me out of her sight. I have a black cat and can confirm almost all of them are somewhat like this. My cat sleeps with me along with a one-eyed kitten who is very feisty but in the night is a cuddle baby and all of them are kinda shy. The kitten will run away from strangers and my cat will stay a distance from the stranger, but one will walk up to the stranger/guest and purr 😊😊

Black One: easily the most affectionate cat that's ever owned me. Extremely playful and needy.
Calico: don't look at her, don't speak to her, don't touch her. Just don't. She has her moods when she allows me to love her, but those times are few and far between.
Two Tabby's: Mother and son .. Different as night and day. Mama is a wild child but extremely sweet and often needy. However she's kinda bio polar. One minute you are her bestest friend ever, and the next she wants you dead. Her son is shy, aloof and wants to be left alone. I put zero stalk into this video now lol.

Prettyphile, I have an all white large, fluffy rag doll male with huge blue eyes(he is in the background of my icon). He has perfect hearing and sight. I am starting to notice that he is getting some skin tags on him and he scratches those spots a bit. He adores his owners, puts up with grown adult daughters when they come home but besides us he hates strangers and still doesn't like my friend of 10 yrs. He did have the male urinary tract infection thing going on, after his surgery and a special medicated diet cat food he hasn't had any issues. He is close to 20 lbs with huge paws and head. He doesn't do the rag doll thing either. He doesn't like to be held, he puts up with it for a minute than looks to get down. But he does follow me everywhere and want's to lay next to me. He is almost 9 yrs old. My experience with my all white male anyways.

I have always had Siamese cats..except for a beautiful grey striped tabby cat.
His name was Ernie..he was my sons cat and when he moved we adopted him..it took him 3 years to decide he liked us..he was affectionate ..vocal and funny..he would be walking across the room and suddenly jump like he was clearing a fence or jumping over something..he would stretch out in the sunshine...legs behind him and front ones stretched out in front ..he'd suddenly look up like he was looking at someone standing over him....we said he had mental issues...we had him 12 years ..he was definitely unique ..each cat had its own personality...we had a sweet Lilac point female Siamese who adored my husband....me..not so much....I was the hired help...a servant ...she would cuddle up on his shoulder..lean her head against his face and lovingly stare at him..she'd watch for him when he came home and welcome him home...We now have a large male Siamese..Enki.....he's 12 years old and King of the house...he looks down on us..shuns us if we don't do his bidding and let's us know in no uncertain terms what he wants .. he has the heart of a lion and roars at us if we're not giving him the respect he deserves

Let me just say, he was nice, kind, loving, funny, smart, & handsome! he wouldn’t listen unless he wanted something like a treat 😂 he was hardheaded & stubborn but he would also have little temper tantrums that were the cutest! he would play hide & seek with me as a kid, and he would take our papers like mail, to the recycling bin when we asked. The "facts" about black cats is on point. I have 2, and they are great! However, my dad's chocolate lab is anything but calm! The things about white and grey cats is acceptable. And, I can't really apply the statements about white dogs to my Shih Tzu. She had a tramatic past being used as bait in a dogfight ring. She is seriously neurotic!

I think a cats fur has nothing to do with their behavior. I met many cats in my life and none of them where like they say. I had an orange male cat before and he was gentle, independent and always exploring.

Black cats should be adopted more than just a little! My dog is also black and he is very nice to my cats. I don’t have to put my dog outside so my cats can have a quiet place!
Shiino Shizuka I’m planning on getting a black cat for Christmas. Currently I have an orange cat, I’ve also had a cream colored cat that was his sister but she disappeared.
My sister has a black cat and a brown bi-colored cat, Penny is the brown one and Binx is the black one😂 my cat is black and white and his name is Grayson, but everyone calls him Mike. I can't even call him Grayson at this point.

We adopted a stray black cat that was used to being self sufficient. Never saw a cat that could hunt like he did. He would catch birds in the air and squirrels like it was nothing. And anything he caught, he ATE. I don't know how many squirrel tails he left for us on the porch over the years...nothing but the tail! He was beautiful and muscular and very tolerant. My daughter would put him on our porch swing and "rock him to sleep"....nothing bothered him. I've always had indoor cats except for him. He seemed secure in any setting but he NEEDED his freedom to be happy. One day he was just gone. I miss that cat.

but I know that's Posya's in a better place now because he was struggling with life. He had heart cancer and we put him to sleep.
one day I woke up and I hugged and kissed Posya and I was happy. when I came home from school I never saw him again.
he was a very good cat. and I know that no one cares but... I loved him a lot and I still cry every night. In fact, RIGHT NOW IM CRYING... this brings back memories.
He was older than I was and he was like the older brother that I never had. I grew up with him and so did my 5-year-old sister.
and I am so confused because now my little sister is scared of cats and she grew up with one. it makes me cry right then and there. I know that Posya is in a better place now. but still.

My cat's in my avatar. She's mischevious, curious and very cute. She's an amazing hunter, and the only person she actually likes is me. She runs away from my dad, scratches my brother and ignores my mom, otherwise loved by every animal ever. There is one problem. She's deaf. I love her so much.

I can say the fact for the white cats are true 🤍 I have two and one we found out was fully deaf but he is still a brave lil cat and very gentle , pretty much will also follow you around and sleep near you same for my other kitty too 😅
