Unless you and your cat have had that type of play, back and forth, between each other, do not just randomly start jump scarring your cat. If you all of a sudden start jump scarring your cat, especially just for those views, you are causing undue stress. That will lead to distrust. And most likely behavioral issues. While the human laughs and thinks it's funny, the cat just doesn't understand why their person would make them feel unsafe and vulnerable. Edit: I have always raised my cats with free feeding and have never had an issue with any of them becoming overweight.

My family had a cat that scratched on furniture, and on the back door. My mom put at least 5 scratching posts in the house. That cat barely would use them. She preferred the furniture.

I took his paws in my hands and did show what to do, but he was not much interested, neither, so I then start sprinkling catnip over the scratcher, and eventually my cat start playing with it, especially if he was in a mood to play and no one had time for him.
I let my old cat free feed, she lived a long healthy life and we would re fill her bowl 2 times a day. If she eats the first thing, and if she didn’t eat it we’d re fill it once. So she could eat when ever she wanted but she got in to a routine. Eat in the morning, eat at the afternoon and then if there’s left overs from dinner on Monday, (we have roast dinner on Sunday) we will mix that in with her food. We also would mix in left over salmon, and any meat really. Only small amounts because it is unhealthy to feed them table scraps too often
My cat barely drinks any water unless I put it in a cup somewhere away from her food. Probably because she's used to jumping up on tables and drinking ours.

Great video for cat owners! I have one cat. I do 1 meal of wet food around 5pm local time and try to remember to pick up the dry food after lunch so she will be hungry for dinner.
We, once in a while, leave our cat alone for 24 hours. He is a outdoor cat, so if he runs out of food he will hunt. He isn’t normal though, so this is ok.

My cat always used to try and eat strings like once my sister was knitting then my cat came over and started chewing up the string some of it already went into her stomach before my sister even noticed yet once she did she immediately pulled the string away so the cat is fine..(i hope) although it was terrible it was still kinda funny how long it took for my sister to figure it out.
I actually do some of these to be fair though my boyfriend had started free feeding his kitties before me and my kitty moved in his one kitty is a grazer we know she is eating but not when so it’s easier with our work schedules to leave the food out all the time but we never over fill there bowls we only put enough to cover the bottom. I also allow my kitty boy to free roam in the car for short trips and I have his crate for long trips he is very well behaved and he’ll curl up on the front seat and won’t move unless he wants to look out the window or curl up on the floor he never climbs in my lap unless I am stopped at a drive thru
I should show this video to my demon cat. She has been mean since 5 days old. Attacks everything and everyone, except for her dogs. She has outlived 2 sets of dogs now. She is 20 years old, been mean since birth. Only calmed down a little the last 7-8 years. Will sit with me if she wants to, as long as I don’t touch her.

I did it once when she was cleaning herself, she jumped lol. Most of the time our cats just ignore such behavior.

I've been around cats my entire life, and I still managed to learn something new (likes for future reference)

Free feeding is not a problem. Not enough excercise and entertainment is, but free feeding is very healthy for cats.
