Side dish: Lamb risotto...
No Guga, that's not a side dish, that's a whole meal
Without a doubt incredibly convenient, but for that price I can just buy every component seperately twice at least
Exactly. $1000 and a 1 year warranty, no thanks
@@jamesbell57931 year warranty for something that expensive scares me. My immersion circulator had a 2 year warranty and my vacuum sealer has a 5 year warranty and they didn't even cost half that. If they don't have confidence in their own product there's no way I'm buying from them.
Agreed. That big screen looks flashy but is pretty useless for a device that only needs to keep water at a specific temperature.
@@Axiomatic75exactly, just make it bluetooth and have a phone be the screen.
You could get an anova, the insulted tank, the anova chamber sealer, and the anova combi oven and probably still come in under the 1000 dollar mark!
1000 bucks puts that well out of the range of 99% of the people
Those would be the smartest 99%.
You simply cannot call a paid promotion a review. It's fine if you take the promotion because you like the product. But it's not a review. It's an ad.
Ya that was just a straight up infomercial.
I didn't really see anything wrong with the product to report - except the price and maybe the size of the bucket. If cost doesn't matter to you, it's a pretty nice machine
@@junglecat7263 Irrelevant. If you're paid to promote something, you are biased. It's not a review. It's an ad.
@@tophy9865 It says "paid promotion" right on the video, so I'm not sure what your beef is. Ad or not, I still found the video interesting and he wasn't selling the device too hard so much as walking through all the features and showing his actual results
@@junglecat7263 He still called it a review at the outset. My beef is just what I've been saying: that it's not a review. It's an ad.
you can get sous vide, vaccum sealer, extra bags, sousvide container and searing torch for a third of what this thing cost. also it doesn't look you can fit a whole brisket in there
Yeah I noticed the size issue as well
*Small* capacity, *proprietary* vacuum bags, and *proprietary* sealer.
$1,000 vs. a $65-150 sealer, $150 sous vide circulator, $100 in misc. accessories.
Very easy pass...
i though the same, selling a "premium" water heater.
Plus i do not recommend reusing plastic for things related to food, microplastics and whatnot.
Yea, just got an Amazon sealer on Black Friday for $25… I’ll gladly keep using that + my $100 circulator and replace the sealer every 2-3 years when it breaks for that price vs this
@@MiriadCalibrumAstar I'm less concerned about the microplastics, however, I don't like the prospect of having to reuse bags, much less valved bags. Especially bags used for long cooks. Anything over 3-4 hour long cooks, I throw them away. Just too much work to get them clean and sanitary.
Yea, this really isnt for people on a budget. You're not really the target audience
@@sebastianpoe3799 Yeah... but I can't imagine many fitting that demographic.
Our boy Guga selling his soul
might as well get something outta that soul right? 😂
Already did Raid Shadow legends... So I don't think there is anything left to sell...
Not his first sell-out. Won't be his last sell-out. Just like with all of the others, you'll never see him use this thing again.
Brother in christ that machine costs $1000.... If that steak doesn't sprout out legs and clean my house, the thing ain't worth it.
For that price I think I’ll stick with what I got. The most I could see reasonable for this is like $400 and even then I wouldn’t bother since that is still more then double the cost of my current setup.
This machine literally offers nothing that my current setup, which is as basic as it gets doesn’t offer already, all the information on how long to cook what and at what temp is easily accessible online
And a 1 year warranty. I'd worry about it breaking. $1000 is nuts imo
could buy a commercial machine for that price maybe even 2 🤣
I was thinking like you 500 bucks
Absolutely. A decent water circulation wrapped in a towel to keep in the heat and a vacuum sealer... Already own the pot and sealer come on. Can't get behind more than 150-200.
Yes all in 1 but I wouldn't use it anywhere near enough to sell myself 1k (or what 600 after all discounts)
Just wait for the day when the App wants to do an update but you can't because your appliance is now outdated and out of warranty after a year, and not compatible with the new App.
Guga becoming the Billy Mays of UA-cam with his infomercials.
it's cringe
Exactly what everyone doesn't want. Is he still doing the shitty honey?
Although the Typhur is a great machine, the value to usefulness tanks. For starters it is a huge appliance. So for those of us who have small to medium size kitchens it is not ideal. You could buy the best Anova circulator, many different sizes of nested water bins, weights, a food saver vacuum sealer and still come under $1000. The guided recipe is a total gimmick given the fact that we all have access to the internet. And no where on their site did I see how much it costs for their proprietary bags. If you are just starting out in learning how to sous vide or you are a seasoned pro like me it is not worth buying this. Just one home chef's opinion.
100% agree. 1000$ really is way too much.
I'd do sous vide if I could afford it. I don't know what's good for budget models either, so it keeps me from jumping in.
Ever think that you might not be the target consumer lol
@@ImJCyo It doesn't even matter. It's just a heater that sits in water and circulates it at a target temperature. For a beginner, any of them will do that. The Anova Nano 3.0 is on sale right now, grab that. Then grab a bucket and some ziplock bags and you're good to go.
@@sebastianpoe3799 Yeah you're right!
This thing is a thousand dollars and this is well beyond what a home cook needs. The 100$ sousvide I have is good enough and the 89$ vacuum sealer works just fine
yeah what a rip off!!! its 1000 on sale too, it should be like 200-400.
The problem is that it's not beyond what a home cook needs (assuming they be cooking sous vide)... It's literally just the basics! It's a circulator and a screen with an underpowered vacuum pump... What a rip off!
Better to get the Black Friday deals on. An Anova kit
I paid $30 for the Sous Vide, $20 for the vacuum sealer. They do what I need.
@@MinaKay84 the screen isn't sophisticated, it'll be a cheap LCD. The vacuum is also extremely cheap to manufacture, it'll be one of those one you use to blow up camp beds but in a different plastic shell. Literally everything about this is style over substance.
Guga... $1000??? I mean it's pretty awesome, but $1000?? I'm good with my regular sous vide
its for the "premium".
Yeah, I bought an anova circulator for like 50 bucks used, then like another 50 for the vacuum sealer and I've spent 1/10th the amount on this and the touch screen is a gimmick when we all have phones
Man Guga you just made us all watch an infomercial
Holy shit, it's gonna be over $1,000! That's a no for me dawg.
First thing out of my mouth was "that looks mad expensive".😂
It is beyond absurdly expensive
@@howtogrillmeat6957 I totally agree to the point it doesn't make sense buying. Waste of money.....
Gouga, $1200!? That would be a no
Guga: *Makes a whole meal* "and this is todays side dish" 😂😂
Guga's side dish is often what I would think is a main dish should be...
2:36
I thought guga already found out that putting butter in sous vide wasn't great? wonder why he chose to do it with lamb
Pitch: A while back you baked steaks in Ketchup, Mayo and American Mustard, saying of the latter that you loved it. But have you ever tried English, French or even Russian Mustard? Just saying putting them against the US version might be a fun experiment, and would also help you build that heat tolerance of yours (English Mustard is a lot hotter than American for example).
Great Idea but don't forget dijon mustard
He have already tried everything under the sun. to a point where it is ridiculous. His other channel
@@1995killswitch thanks, I got the idea from being in a pub in Manchester, seeing an American tourist use Coleman's (English) Mustard, think it was the same stuff he was used to cause of the colour... His pained reaction was hilarious 😂
English and Russian mustard is pretty much the same thing. Is USSR we called it just 'mustard".
Or whatever that mustard is you get at a Chinese restraunt @@1995killswitch
Only Guga can make me watch an ad. I just love the colour on this lamb. 😂
You inspired me to get into sous vide cooking a few years ago, and it’s been fantastic for my family and friends. I’m all for improvements and tips, but shilling for a company that pays you to sell something that doesn’t add anything to the quality of our food isn’t what any of us are here for. Love you Guga. Please cease this and keep to what made you in the first place. Not marketing videos that are shilling items the majority of watchers don’t need.
Unfortunately he’s sold out. Been selling out for a long time now. Dude tried to say he and his friends sit around playing raid shadow legends. lol. Right.
@@soysaucebananna People need to make money... Can't blame him.
You know he's gotta make a living right?
i actually love this. it makes sous vide more approachable for me as a lazy beginner and I want the convenience of everything in one place.
@@jquikshotThis. Ain't. It.
I get episodes that "include a paid promotion" but I'm not sure about an episode that *is* a paid promotion. It's a freaking sous vide. Maybe with a few extra functions, but certainly not the machine of the future. Is it going to brine and sear my steak while giving me a handy? Then maybe we'll talk.
First time in a guga video I thought “screw the steaks” that lamb risotto looks amazing and is a full entree meal in itself!
All my sous-vide items didn't even cost a quarter of that price. I guess if money is no issue and you dont know how to cook. Then it might be worth it
something about your nephew going from not liking lamb, to being excited for it, makes me so happy
No doubt the machine is convenient. For $1000 I expect the machine to remove the steak, pat it dry, and torch it.
Cool piece of tech but at $1,200 USD I don't see myself getting one any time soon. My sous Vide setup cost me $300 and I got what I consider some high quality equipment. Will be interesting to see if other Sous Vide manufacturers start to create similar (but lower cost) machines to compete.
No one needs to compete because no one is buying this shit aside from millionaires with too much money
Don't need to compete when they've effectively priced themselves into a niche of a niche.
This thing won't survive past one manufacturing run... just like all the other similarly-unnecessary ones.
I see two issues with this device:
1. It costs my entire monthly salary.
2. They don't seem to have any way to buy more bags, so you get 40 servings and that's it, I doubt you will be able to find third party bags that are compatible with this thing.
It's all nonsense.
Really at $1000, they won't be selling this for long, I'll give a couple of months for a massive price drop...
Won't be a second run at the manufacturing plant, either.
You could just give me that side dish as my whole meal and I'll be happy. I want to go to the Guga Restaurant. I wish it existed. Holy crap the thing is $1000.
For over 1k?!?! I'll keep my Anova.
Love this thing! Solving a problem no one has!
Video Idea: Sous Vide 2 steaks, exactly the same, put a crust on one, no crust on the other. BLINDFOLD Angel and Leo, see if they can tell the difference. "I know they don't LOOK good right now, but watch this"... Should it be LOOK good or TASTE good?
Yess
I'll never forget one time when Guga said, "I know my steaks don't look that good right now... but watch this!"
And then.......... a different music started playing.
It threw off my groove for a week.
1:03 Guga needed that cause he made videos. I use a stock pot, ziplock, cling film to seal. Never had any issues. You can def keep it affordable, basically, immersion circulator and everything else is likely already in your kitchen.
Absolutely, positively CORRECT! 👍
will we ever see guga making a difficult to make side dish?
He did recently, actually.
Why would he want to? Does it somehow taste better just because it was more complicated to make?
@sebastianpoe3799 most likelu to impress someone on a date😅
@@ferdinandgunawan8611 lol the date doesnt want to wait 20 years for you yo make a complicated dish. They're more impressed when you can feed them quickly and it still tastes amazing
Thank you Typhus for sponsoring this commercial
Guga, Leo, Angel, and the whole team - have you ever had a teres major steak? One of my absolute favorites. From the chuck, but hard to get to. I’d love a video where you guys try some lesser known cuts!
I second this. We had Wagyu teres major for Thanksgiving.
Lots of teres major posts in his private Facebook group.
The side dish being lamb chops got me dying 😭😭
For that price you can get a bunch of sous vide sticks, containers, racks, and weights. Oh and also have money to spare to buy a budget 1500 degree propane infrared steak broiler to make perfect steaks.
WHOA! An overly complicated machine that costs a lot of money. My sous vide cooker came from Aldi ($45 new and at one time Aldi was blowing them out for $15) and a $30 Amazon sousvide container with a wire rack to hold the bags during cooking.
My vacuum sealer was $10 at a resale shop and just needed a pair of $3 gaskets to work properly
I see sous vide as a crutch for people (like myself) who overcook steaks on the grill to save the meal.
this is like buying a Viking stove to make mac and cheese
Right except for the sous vide thing. There's no viable way to cook a steak as evenly as a machine does on a grill on pan.
@@thespclflash456 One can do it in the oven, though, if one wants to wrap it in allumining foil and slow bake at 275 F for 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on thickness.
It's the only acceptable way to do a well done steak.
I agree this machine is too pricey. I disagree that it is a crutch.
Let's all watch the video a few times so Guga can afford a new phone y'all. 😂
I checked out the price on that Sous Vide Station... Holy Cow! On the Typhur website, it was marked down from $1,199 to a mere $999. I'm sorry, but as nice as that thing is, I'm not spending a thousand bucks on one.
Ok then, so dont lol
@@sebastianpoe3799 What did you hope to add to the conversation with your reply?
That looks like a great product: as you say Guga, it nicely packages the components together. But they will simply not sell many units at that price point. There isn’t $1,000 of value.
I’m also seeing others share that it only comes with a 1yr warranty? That is a MAJOR red flag. It usually means the components are cheap and / or have poor reliability.
At max, this is a $499 product. And even at that price, the manufacturer would probably be making 100% margin. So $1,000 is a cash grab; see how many fools bite, then run a mile when they all break.
Value is there. Just not for you. You're probably not the target consumer for this product
@@sebastianpoe3799 "Value" LMAO rich people are so out of touch with reality it's insane.
@@sebastianpoe3799 Well Seb, sorry buddy but I am a pretty wealthy guy. And I’ve accumulated that wealth from knowing what value is. So who’s the ‘targeted consumer’ ?
@@sebastianpoe3799You obviously work for the manufacturer.
Hei Guga, you definitely got to try the "risotto alla milanese con ossobuco", as a main or a side dish... it's a traditional dish from northern Italy and it's fantastic because it blends two things that you are a master in: risotto and meat🎉
I mean... for that price you can buy the Anova Pro, the Anova fancy stainless steel container thing, and a channel sealer. But I have a chamber sealer and those two things already, so I'll stick with that I suppose.
I'm pretty sure at this point the side dish is the main dish
I didn't need to taste it to know that food was amazing!! You guys are eatin GOOD in this video!! 🤤
For 999$ it does exactly what does any 50$ sous vide.
Lamb and risotto? I’m getting Hell’s Kitchen flashbacks.
Don’t worry guys. All in one will only cost you 10 times the price. 🙄
Hey Guga that risotto looks amazing... but i dont see the recipe in the description...
That was the most overgloryfied advertisment show I've seen in a while. Take this and put it on those midnight endless advertisement shows :D .
For $1000, I'd rather just buy all of the equipment separately. Plus, if your careful you don't even need a vacuum sealer.
It looks really cool, but I can get 3 Breville turbos and a smoke gun or a blow torch for that price. Cook everyone’s steaks exactly how they like it at the same time, even with different preferences.
I like that the circulator takes up no tank space. My instant pot sous vide is like that too, but I don’t trust its accuracy so I use my Anovas
I watched GUGA from the first video (and I miss Mamao) and I am realy happy to see how far you have come just by being and staying the original you. I do not know a more deserving man to have steak eatin his primary Job!!! Love from Kosovo❤
It's getting harder and harder to take Mr. cheesy description man...ugg
Man, Guga -- that filet 😳 the way the juices and blood slowly ran out and the color. That thing was absolutely perfect. Plus the cut had a decent marble to it for a filet. Ive cut a bunch of Snake River Ranch filets cutting meat and making big bacon wrapped filet migs and it was past prime and had decent marbling which is uncommon in filets if no one knows. Anyway, I'm no sous vide cook for sure but on the grill they were the best filets I've ever eaten in my life. I know yours got it beat though. Too perfect inside
For that price, I would just get the Anova precision oven. Oh wait, I already have that. No Black Friday shopping for me.
Giga doesnt but a yellow submarine instead he buys a yellow sous-vide machine 😂😂
Love this video🎉
The only thing that caught my attention is Guga's knife. The pattern is sooo good, and I'm start thinking: is that a Damascus knife?
All his knives are dalstrong its probably printed but they are great knives!
Guda, I really love your presentations. Because of you I have become a Sous Vide fan.
FYI: “cheers” is a BEVERAGE salutation.
For FOOD, the proper salutation is:
“ bon appétit!”
It means “good eating” everyone!
Wow Fantastic machine food looked amazing great video thanks 🙏
Ok Elephant in the room. This station costs $1000. so lets break it down. Sous Vide $100. Sous Vide container $40 ( or use a Pot). Vacuum sealer and bags $85. Cast iron skillet $25. So basically for less than 250 dollars you get the same results. Ive been using the same roll of bags i bought for 15$ on amazon for quite a while now. How much are those vacuum bags?
Why is nobody pointing out the fact that he said ribeyes when those are clearly New York's
Only Guga would have a entre as a side dish. Lol!
One of these days I got to sit down and learn those guitar parts in the intermission diddy! :D
Lamb Risotto for a side, Guga you mad man 😂
Great looking unit, looks well made but that price is about 4 or 5 hunsky too high!
$1,200 for what $50 can identically replicate.
A whole main meal as a side dish is wild
Guga: "look at that" ... My stomach: "rumbles"
I have two sous vide machines one I must have purchased around $80 and other one at a Walmart clearance for $14 both performing equally well
Exactly!
Hey Guga, I recently injection marinated a turkey with a compound butter. I simmered and strained the spices in the butter first, then injected. I wonder if there would be a difference between simmering and just food processing the spices.
Shut up dude lol
Good thing post-it stickers exist..
Having one over Leo’s face while watching makes me handle to still watch your videos.
$1000 for that machine? Ya’ll cray cray!
The biggest question I have is the cleaning process. Guga should have made Angel clean it for the steaks.
Guga: 3:30 "ingredients in the description down below." Me: Recipe is never down below.
Problem with All In One (AIO) units is one part breaks and you have a expensive brick on your counter.
This is already an expensive brick even before it breaks. Silly machine.
for $1000 better come with guga to make the steak too. thats nuts. can buy all the seperate components twice and still have money left over for more steaks.
For about half the cost of the Typhur sous vide, you can get the commercial grade Breville Hydropro sous vide circulator for $499.99 which would last far longer than many consumer grade sous vide circulators.
It's not a big surprise
If you take a working way to cook a steak and add a screen, it still works.
The true question was "is it worth it in practice?" And since there is no clear enhancement in taste, we don't have an answer
Yes. Yes, you do have an answer. It's an unequivocal "NO."
While I don't dismiss the benefits of sous vide, or this machine, the retail price is $1200. Guga’s $100 discount helps a little but I'm more interested in just how much markup this implies for the manufacturer. Plus, it's currently on sale for $200 off. So, a total of $300 off of a $1200 retail item means 25% off. And they still turn a profit. So, what is the real value of this thing? Cool gadget but, as consumers, we really need to start thinking rationally, double-meaning intended.
1,200 to do what $50 can identically replicate.
Sous vide lobster video!
The bags are probably very expensive and with the vacuum sealer useless if the business goes down. Not sure about the app if it always needs to be online, that will be another issue down the line.
You’ve not had lamb until you’ve had Karoo lamb from the Western/ Northern Cape in South Africa. You are what you eat. So does lamb. They taste like the herbs they eat. Nothing else compares!
Amazing! Your videos are awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
If that screen can't play some guga videos while cooking they've wasted it. Lol.
I love how GUGA says Gel-A-Men...i mean gentlemen. We all have our accents! Great content as usual.
So it has a vacuum sealer, cool screen and an app? Thought it was going to be something really special
my circulator cost me 40 bucks and my vac sealer was 80. how much better could this machine possibly be lol
Guga' i always love watching your sous vide videos , but i want to ask you something about sous vide , how long can i store the steak after i cooked it with sous vide and before i add the crust to eat later on another day?
Read Dr. Douglas Baldwin's "A Practical Guide to Sous Vide Cooking" free, online.
Guga must have been paid well for this infomercial.
Guga has his head in the clouds regarding what we would spend money on
He doesn't care. Look. He put butter in with lamb to kow-tow to their faulty app.
That thing is dope, but no way I'm spending 1k on it!
Hello, thanks for the information I have a question, could this preparation be saved vacuum-ready or with the penultimate step?He has put it into practice to know the maximum time you can last in the refrigerator
Good Morning Guga!
Two things - the first, when it comes to Soux Vide, if you’re using a really large container, like you’re doing ribs or a brisket, do you need a larger circulator? Or can you use the same circulator that is used on a normal sized container?
Also, my husband would like to recommend an appetizer for you. Guava paste with cream cheese. He just slices off equal amounts of each and eats it like that, I put it on bread or toast.
Thanks!
You don't need a huge container... just one large enough to fit your items and allow 1 cm of water around each package. Start by filling the container with the hottest tap water and use a cover.
I’m not sure I was clear with my question. I’m asking if I have a large container with a large amount of water, do I need a stronger circulator, or can I use the same circulator as I use for my day to day cooking for two?
Thanks!
