As someone who has done house renos on a couple of houses I’ve had, it always feels like nothing is getting done until the last 5% of the work when it all comes together.
JR, don't ever feel like you need to explain yourself. The vast majority of us enjoy seeing all the updates, big and small. Thanks for sharing the progress with us! You've inspired a lot of home improvements that I'm personally working on myself now!
How time has flown by. I remember when you bought that old building. Transformed it into an amazing place then you sold it. Time past then you finally bought this house. Hard to believe it's been a year already. Where has the time gone?
I've loved seeing the progress of the house over time! You and Eric and all involved have done an amazing job with it so far and thanks for sharing it all with us mate! Keep up the great work you do!!
I still remember the video where the house was gonna be done at the end of the week that was months ago… man time flies…. Its looking real good though… just takes lots of timeeeeeee….
JohnRoss- That house, when you bought it, was wonky as hell. If I may be so bold, everything needed MAJOR improvement just to make it to "half assed". I am not totally sure I recall what you paid, (if it was ever mentioned), but, if you would have contracted out all the work that you, Eric, and everyone else along the way have done, this house would have ben TOTALLY unrealistic. I think you have taken a huge project, and made it manageable. Keep on keeping on. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Eric, 100% Jake, Gabe,Johnny and all the rest of the folks!
FYI, as a sheetrock finisher myself, it would make it way easier to have just put all new drywall sheets on the wall with the window as apposed to having that long butt joint to have to finish out. It's way easier to finish a corner that that long vertical joint. The house is coming along great though.
Dude, what is UP - I've been watching yall boys now for awhile - good channel !! Love alot probably not all content - thanks - Happy Thanksgiving to you !! 🎉
Getting so close to being done, or at least done enough to fully move everything in! Loos good. Thanks for all you do to put out fun content that provides so many of us with a needed break from the rest of life. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey, JR. I have the perfect new shirt for you to consider..... Your JRGo motorcycle logo near the top, COOL SHIRTS under it on the front..... and JUST LIKE THIS on the back...... What do you think?
Thanks for sharing and I hope you are having a Happy Thanksgiving! When this is all done please do a full before and after video. The transformation you did is incredible! BTW-I NEVER find you boring :-)
John Ross, you have to be the world's foremost time optimist. All these things take time and I suspect that you are not the most patient person. Jokes aside, great video as always. You are REALLY close now 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! I wait up every night to watch your post. I hear you mention Arkansas a lot. I live there. I hope you have driven the Pig Trail. Fun.
I hit pig trail every time I'm there! I've done it in the Huracan, Miata, Charger, Passat, RC F, Maserati GT, GT-R, just about every car you've seen on the channel. AR has the best roads in the country 💯
I'm quite surprised you aren't doing the seams and screw heads on the drywall yourself. Screw heads are the most basic job there is in mudding. Seams, especially inside corners, do take some finesse, however it isn't that bad at all. It would also save you a bunch of waiting time and money, as you already have the mud, just would need a few trowels, tape, sanding screen, and maybe a big sponge for the final finish. Now if you are getting a skim coat, that is something I fully endorse contracting out. That is as much a skill as it is an art. However that looks like plain old drywall, not prepped for a skim coat.
I understand that, we had to be out of our old long term rental and we were closing on this house and we ended up renting it for two weeks till it officially closed so we could get out on time for the old place. So nice to be in our own better house, even with all the crap we went through.
Noise proofing the ceiling = no "hard connections" and no penetrations (lights). Use only on ceiling lights, the drywall itself should be attached either via z-channels (so the drywall does NOT screw into the ceiling) or using an elastic layer in-between two layers of drywall (or both). As soon as you screw through the drywall into the wood, that transfer sound both directions.
Probably so but it's not our business to know every detail just because we watch his channel. If so it's because he put in a lot of work to get to this point.
You keep saying we can’t move in, we are almost done. Do you have a woman in your life? If so, where is she? Why isn’t she involved in the decorating and planning of the house she’s going to live in? At least if she’s not in the videos acknowledge she exists. And if not, why are you building this huge fancy house for yourself?
Sorry JR I do not wish to start off on a negative note but really did you just say " bunch of mud". I fear America is slowly killing the English language & children growing up hearing such nonsense will be at a disadvantage in later life. 😢
Give this comment a thumbs up if you’re a regular WatchJRGo channel viewer, but the algorithm never tries to get you to watch “the tech channel.”
@@andrewthomason3857 it’s almost always linked in my descriptions lol

I hate that it looks so slow in the videos but we worked for weeks 😬

It goes to fast (or not enough happens fast enough) 😳

Yep, I remember it well. September 2, 2023 "I Bought The Midwest Hugh Hefner's House With MY NEW SHOP". ... What's important is the Shop is DONE!
I still remember the video where the house was gonna be done at the end of the week that was months ago… man time flies…. Its looking real good though… just takes lots of timeeeeeee….
Well my crypto friend found out he couldn't get enough unstaked to pay me so I had a bit longer with the old house 🏡
Happy Thanksgiving, JR!🍻

Happy Holidays John Ross!!!
The attention to detail is what makes it worthwhile in the end.
I live an extremely busy life and John Ross Jr. makes me look like a 100 year old man! This guy never stops! All I can say is "Watch Jr. Go!"
Hey, JR. I have the perfect new shirt for you to consider..... Your JRGo motorcycle logo near the top, COOL SHIRTS under it on the front..... and JUST LIKE THIS on the back...... What do you think?
Yes!!! A retro workspace! Love it.
Hey, your doing a great job and it always drags on until the vacuum is put away.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I enjoy every download. Be it on cars or the house
Happy belated Thanksgiving John Ross.
Love the house build videos.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the rest of the family
You’re getting there. It’s going to look great! Happy Thanksgiving!
The transformation you made to this home is amazing. Well done.
I'd definitely like to see some 3D printing projects.
It’s the stuff people don’t see that takes all the time. Looking forward to the Tech Channel content. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I'm just glad that even with all the obstacles, you're still getting content out.
Happy Thanksgiving JR.

Good morning everyone
Good morning back! 💯
Awesome, so close👌👋
I just want to start hauling things over 😂

It's worth it to do it all before you move in. It will be like a brand new house when you're done.
You have the same problem I do, there is right...and, well that's it. Takes a while, but makes you happy with the end product.
I still want that Organ!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Can't wait for the before and after comparison photos of the house.
Good morning!
At least we got a short peak of the Taco Bell unwrapping/Red Bull storage room!
just like a car build, assembly is fairly quick - making it home takes years ❤
The devils in the details you’re knocking it out of the park John Ross bravo sir…

With his house AND the old shop sold I guess John Ross will be absolutely debt free soon.
None of our business
Probably so but it's not our business to know every detail just because we watch his channel. If so it's because he put in a lot of work to get to this point.
If you could have a redo on this house ronovation, what would you do differently and why? Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving to all
Hi JR 👋
Yo! 🍻
Projects take time. Keep plugging.
I always try to watch all of JR’s videos. Didn’t he buy more land adjacent to the lake house? Was anything more said about that?
Americans crack me up, sheet rock? Its called Plasterboard in English!!! 😂
Good Evening John Ross
Hey Douglas! 🍻
Who’s your fiber provider?
Believe that it will get done
Aaaaaaand Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Project 2025 will eliminate all holidays.
I would put your main 3d printers in another room so you don't have to stop a print to film.
Watch JR Mud
Psshhh, I don't do that part, mud and tape is actually art and I am not good at it 😳
What is the other channel? Doesn't seem to be listed on your profile or anything and a quick search didn't pull anything up.
I was looking for the same and drew a blank
Can’t believe it’s been a year already
"Shiiit raaaack."
Close to 1st!
🥉 on the leaderboard even!
it'll take another year to figure out the point of this "house tour" video
I dont see HVAC in the basement?
Boring? I’ve been waiting for a house update, especially the paper towel rack
Time to sell the old house?!
You need a wife to make u miserable John Ross lol
Feeding the algorithm..
Enjoy the content the audio is painful in the house with all that echo. Maybe get a better mic?
It's a construction zone... Once rooms gets filled up with stuff, the echo mostly goes away.
You keep saying we can’t move in, we are almost done. Do you have a woman in your life? If so, where is she? Why isn’t she involved in the decorating and planning of the house she’s going to live in? Yee haw
🥈 yo George!
