Really like the spalting showing in the front. I would like to steal this design, only enlarfe the bottom and put a pair of small band saw drawers there. Thanks!

not bad, try using hand tools, chisels, hand planes etc. get a smoother finish, a light sanding to raise the fibers to apply the finish.

It's a handheld belt sander but you also can mount it on a table.
