I think this is the best-looking project (in my opinion) you have ever done. Perfect edges, great use of curves and motion. Good wood selection, and awesome engineering. I'd love to see more like this.

Made this as a present for my Wife this week along with a wooden pen I bought off Etsy she loved it! I added a mosaic pin to the side and looked very classy. I made the sides from Black Walnut and the top with Beech wish I could show you a pic. Thanks for great plan and great video.

That's a really beautiful piece of work, I love the contrasting wood and the "mechanism" is perfect - simple but so effective. And here I was thinking you only created crazy jigs/contraptions for milling wood!

What is the difference between 2P10 CA glue and any other CA glue (Starbond, etc)? Is there a difference?
love it. not a hard design to copy but i wanted to say thank you and paid for your template. i have to make several dozen pens on order and i think i will throw a few of these in for free. i wonder how many of these they will ask me to make when the see how sweet they are.

Chris Parker best way think about it is it is a liquid acrylic. It is great for many thing like filling, speed and many other place. but if the glue need to move like flex a little it wouldn't be the best option.
that tool you had behind you on the opening, you use it when you are cutting same timber on your mitre saw

But on a lighter note, I like the look of that Walnut bit. It looks like a huge effort went into the build. Obviously not, but it looks that way.

Pen-sized pocket tank? I see a new project for you. Same concept, but with a totally different end-game. Maybe on the lid, design a way to keep score using small pegs like what is used in cribbage.
nice pen box. Template still available? link in description is broken. realize this is 2 years past the video, but suggestion if you do more..when cutting out the center around the pen, rather than using the scrollsaw to enter from the end and having to glue sections back together, just drill a hole in the center then thread saw blade through it. :)
