      Thank you very much. It was definitely a surprised how well they turned out. And there are so many versions that can be incorporated into more pens, the variety is almost endless.

    Just went to my first class on turning pens and bottle stoppers. Now I’m hooked and this is a nice and cheap idea for making pens.

    Tried red and blue stain and they turned out great. A coworker seen it and ask me to make a few for the Veterans at work.

    Thanks, all I needed to do was to research on how to make wooden pens, because we are supposed to design a product, mine was pens. Then I watched this, I want to create stuff like this!

    Very nice video, I liked how you tried eight or ten different ways of staining, gluing up, or cutting the sticks for effect. You have some unique and beautiful pens.

      They are a lot of fun to play with, but depending on what you buy, they can get expensive.

    Id love to see this done with actual popsicle sticks from one of those cheap big bags with a bunch of assorted colors. I bet all those colors would look pretty neat once they're cut and stacked together. You night even be able to smell some of the flavors while you turn it on the lathe.

    Nice Work Thanks ... I Have Always Found When Doing A Wood Twist.... Soak It In Water First Then Twist And Clamp ...When It Drys It Keeps It Shape ... Just Saying ...

      @@SpecificLove7 Yes When Completely Dry Yes No Problems ... Also Twisting Them Wet Means That They Twist More And Don't Split..

    What if you soaked the sticks first then twisted them and leaving them in tjr clamp until they dried? Maybe better luck with the twist look?

    Bought a bunch of blanks now I need the guts where can I buy the guys and mechanical stuff at

    I bet soaking the wood in boiling hot water would make it rubber like for even twistier designs

      It should, but I was not sure I would be able to get them all the same shape and and glued up.

      @@SpecificLove7 there's steam bending. My mind jumped to using just wood to using wood and glow in the dark epoxy as its glow pigment mixed with epoxy
