Ok. I needed this video about 3 months ago when my dryer went out and it was the same part. I called my repair person and paid about 150 to fix it. So you just saved yourself over 100 dollars. You can buy a whole lotta Charmin with that. Your area under and around your dryer is wayyyy cleaner than mine. When the repairman pulled out my dryer ,omg, it was soo dirty. My dryer is about 20 years old.
Hey if you had made a video about your dryer it could have saved me some time and worry! lol I had done some cleaning up before I made the video. I found all kinds of stuff under the dryer...but no lost socks.
My dryer stops spinning after 7-10 min. I replaced the door switch, and cleaned it out. But it still stops. The heating element heats up like normal. I also tried shutting off the heating element and run just the air, the unit still stops turning. There is power to the unit as the breaker has not tripped, and I can hear the clicking from the timer, when the cycle stops mid, until I turn it to OFF< and then it stops making that clicking sound. Any ideas?
It might be a bad sensor. Some dryers can alter the amount of time it will run based on the moisture content in the air. I have a different dryer then this one now but I think this model called it accu-temp or something. Maybe try using the timed drying setting where you pick the amount of minutes it runs.
Thank you for the awesome video Michelle...!!! The back panel cannot come off FYI, it is soldered along all the seams. Thanks again!
glad it helped. good to know about the back panel
The back does not come off
I have the same dryer. Maybe I'll learn something....just in case. Love vids like this.
+SavingWithSha I think it is the fate of every dryer and I bet a lot of people just toss it out and buy a new one.
Good, my dryer is not heating either so it's probably the Same thing. Thanks you!! You did a wonderful job on your own.
It probably is. Seems to be a common thing when you aren't getting heat.
