Today we are looking at the wonderful genus of Philodendron and how to care for them inside our homes.
In this series we examine all the basic care needed to keep our plants happy and growing as well as possible. We begin each video by looking at where these plants are native to. This gives us clues as to the best possible lighting the plants will need, as well as watering, the correct type of soil medium substrate to use, the appropriate size container to utilize, as well as how to fertilize and how often. I finish each video by giving some unique ways to use these houseplants in your home and any other pertinent information.

Although there are so many cultivars now available there is still something comforting about the old-fashioned plain green heart leaf philodendron that brings comfort for some reason. It must be as you've said a memory plant for so many of us.
