In the last month I've tried to get into this game. All I've found is expensive and overpriced cards from card shops and secondary market, and lack of availability to purchase cards or earlier structure decks. The lack of reprints is insane. This game is really popular, and decently fun, but horribly managed and very exploitative by Bandai and player base.
I get you I’ve been buying cards for awhile and I’ve noticed most basic cards from previous boxes that were 0.02 cents to 0.58 cents to 3$ to 25$ it’s actually kinda crazy but seems to be because they don’t reprint cards and it’s bullshit when so many people wanna play and get into it so the only way you can really get into it is buying the newest cards and as much as possible, ruining the fun
@MonkeyFight TCG, on your recommendation I checked out the Belo Betty deck and was able to build it for very cheap. Maybe the message of this game is don't play top decks or ones that require too many cards from older sets. Anyway its a pretty competitive deck and im enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation!

I agree some staples deserve reprints and are currently quite pricy.. but as a TCG compared to Magic or Yugioh I do really consider OP as much more feasible.

After trying some changes since the release of OP05, i definitely aggre that RP Kidd must use the rested DON!! Nami, she is just too good at helping with early 7K swings at the opponent and maintaining pressure What i've been using that stole some games for me tho is Punk Rotten event card, giving 5K to a killer searcher puts so much pressure on the opponents hand, or even swinging 12k for 2 and -2 with leader is insane sometimes
I personally run a garp deck and i agree, it's a challenging but fun deck building project where you have to balance K.O. and cost reducing effects. Personally i run both nami and haruta to help put characters in KO range even after playing a card.
I actually went for a more aggro route for R/P Luffy since the deck can ramp fast and using a good amount of 2k counters for protection early game using g5 luffy as the finisher. Usually i spit out rushers on turn my turn 4 to kill on turn 5
I see you listed Yamato as a playable deck. Do you have a deck list that you use or have seen that has seen some success? I'm not familiar with deck building, but I hear a lot of people saying it's just trash.
Just a tip for any wanna be belo bety players out there!!! take out 2 sanji and the 2 sabos and run 4 Energy Hormones instead i find much more success without the sabos and 2 less sanji then i would with them! although this is all up to the player

I used to play a lot of YGO and have played various online tcg over the years and now i want to play One Piece, my early idea was playing Purple Luffy moved to the "just buy a couple of structure decks and you are good to go" mindset but, well, that didn't go as planned xD I like playing challenging decks with combos and cool interactions, rn i have my eyes on Sakazuki but also on PR Law. Wich one would you recommend? Can you give me a list for it, or preferably for both decks, wich reduces the price as much as possible without compromising the deck (for example a Sakazuki list with 2 OP02 Borsalino and 2 OP02 Kuzan, something like that)?
I would recomend sakazuki generally, but red purple law is much cheaper. Unfortunately there's not a lot of good options to decrease the price of sakazuki. Mostly it's just stuff like kuzan to 2, everything else has a ton of purpose in a list. For law, you can cut some of the expensive cards out of law except for gordon.
I recomend checking out either one piece top decks or the Eggman for red purple law lists. Unfortunately it's one of the few decks i dont play. Both are linked in my description.

Off the prices of Cardmarket (i'll slightly inflate them, since i plan on getting the cards at my local shop if possible) one ST10 deck + 2 ST10 Law + 4 OP05 Law + 4 OP05 Kid + 4 P law + 4 Gordon will be around 175 euros and i get the staples from ST10 and some purple staples. For Sakazuki (going on a cheaper list at the beginning and then adding more copies of expensive cards as i play) 2 OP02 Borsalino (up to 3 eventually) 2 Kuzan (up to 3 eventually) 3 OP05 Borsalino 4 OP05 Lucci 4 OP04 Rebecca 4 ST06 HIna will be around 160 euros (hell, i could go 3 OP02 Borsalino or a couple of Sabo and get even with Law xD). The way i see it rn is that Law gives me a worse deck but more staples moving forward while Sakazuki would give me a stronger deck with some extra spending down the line with less overall staples (but then again i see Black performing really well in OP06, so investing in Black cards now could also be better for the future). Honestly if the Law deck was quite a bit cheaper i'd go for it, but unless my math is completely wrong Sakazuki sounds like a better investment in almost every metric (i guess PR Law would help me building different decks this format if i want to get something else going on...?)
Well don't forget for sakazuki you also need 4 Rebecca, 4 rob Lucci, 4 great eruption, and various other inflated staples. But if you know someone giving a good price on the deck you should take it.
As someone who played Purple Yellow Croc all of last set. Im not too crazy about your build. Magellan seems horrible in the deck since Crocodile is much slower at ramping than most purple decks but as needs big bodies to work. I kinda feel the same about 7 drop kid, Enel is probably a better 7 drop in my opinion. I also think El Thor or Blast breath should replace the other 1 drop and Hells judgement. Sorry about that, Im still excited to test the decks you recommended.

Replace Sanji with Mr. 13 Replace Law with Paulie Take out at least two Uta, a Mr. 4 and a Katakuri and replace them with 4 beges Replace kid with 2 or 3 big moms or the new rush Enel. I would probably play colors trap, El Thor and most definitely blast breath instead of those events.
Can you do an update on the analysis of the rescue ace deck because the old one is pretty outdated along with the deck lists. It’s still a good video but an update would be really great and super helpful as I am considering picking up the deck.
Did you know there's a difference between some cards holding value and a game being accessible? Heaven forbid we make STARTER decks available for players.
Basic cards already are, there's barely any value in anything that isn't an AA, and some AA are absolutely worthless also. This isn't an investment, it's a card GAME. It's also only a year old. Reprint it into the dust.

I think this video is also useful as a good summary of what you're likely to go against in the tcg as well. I'm building RP Luffy.
