- Why I Changed The Wheel Spacers On My Tuner BMW Right Away
There was an instant problem when I bought my new tuner BMW. It's a BMW 335 and I took it home and found a bit of an issue right away with some wheel spacers having been installed on my car. I'll tell you why I changed this right away and I'll also show you how I did the change.
This is a quick how-to tutorial, but you'll also learn what this will do for your own #tuner #BMW, or tuner #car.
Wheel spacers have some disadvantages if you're using too much. I'll tell you exactly what was happening to me before and after I made this change.
Here's my vlog if you want to check out more about this great car: / @markholubetz

When I bought my e46 M3 the rear came with spacers. I must admit though they look fantastic. Especially with the wide tires of the M
Absolutely
Mark, you didnt give us your feedback at the end of your video how the car drives after taking out the spacers swap. Iam debating if I should do it or not.
Hi Mark, from what I could see, I think if you take a long yard stick 36" / straight edge and hold it on edge against the rear wheel and extend it over the quarter panel lip surface , you are now flush with the surface of the quarter panel. Nothing like a little detailing!!
Always debated putting spacers on my m4... great video!
It’s a great look, just go slightly less than more is what I would say. Cheers.
I think you should possibly change the name to something shorter and memorable. Maybe use your name? But keep up with the good content 💪🏾
Hi, thanks for watching, its too late in the game to name change but my other VLOG channel is based on my name.
Mine was rubbing pretty bad with spacers so I used an Eastwood fender roller tool and it solved it 😊
After watching the video, I think I will stay away from the spacers! I've got 19" staggered M performance wheels on my 335i Msport, which are very nice, but on the E90 generation cars, most of the aftermarket wheels for them need spacers to make the wheels flush! The body style is wide! I'm cool with it! Plus the Msport package sets my car down lower to start with!
Same setup I have. The front doesn’t really need a spacer.
love the DIY's
Thanks
hi i need spacers on my 2007 e90 3 series m sport bmw, i put e46 18 inch mv1 alloys on , the offset is 47 front and 50 rear, my old offset was 34 front and 37 rear, would 20mm spacers be ok ?
My E60 M5 definitely needs spacers, which one would you recommend and which size?
Bravo Sir * today you showed your intelligence * you know means what is proper
Your car looks intelligent like you with a clean shaved face.
Once more bravo I like you today.
Personally I hate wheel spacers especially on the front. BMW engineers engineerd the turning center to be close to the center of the tyre. Space that out and the steering will be more suspetiable to bumps.
On the rear spacers will create more strain on the bushings meaning the wheels will not hold proper alignment. They are also bad for the bearings.
At least you only have 10mm at the rear now so that may be OK.
The main use for spacers is when changing to wheels with a different offset.
Was this car lower?
Do you like that ride height?
ExoticCar PlayPlace im asking cause u said 20 mm would rub so i wanna know if its on coil overs or stock suspension
I bought it like that and I believe it was on a sport suspension
dad learns stance
right?
Hi
Spacers very unprofessional technics * when you pushing wheels out same time making softer suspension = extending axle.
All simple Joes talking about performance and ending only on the look or loud exhaust = handicap peoples and not a drivers
So call brand names of those spacers cost as a new wheel.
Average Joe does not have ideas or understanding what length of bolts needs?
When using too short bolts wheels can fall out and when using too long one can create other damage in the wheel hubs.
*****************************************************************************
Best of all as an intelligent person read information stamped on the wheels * there you see wheel offset - those numbers are in mm
When you see 40 means offset of the wheel is 40 mm.
Now you make decisions push out the wheel for nice look only about 12mm *** 40mm - 12 mm = 28mm offset for the new wheel
Become smarter and very logical get new wheels with a proper offset with very safe fitting.

Refinish old junk and oglie wheels cost a lots plus brand names specers with set of bolts ( even seller can push TITANIUM set of Bolts for 500.00$)
All in total huge price and garbage.
You can get brand new wheels with proper offset - bolts - center caps BMW = for only about 700.00$ Canadian.
