Vinnie Appice, Black Sabbath/ DIO drummer has said many times that she is the reincarnation of a female DIO. Wendy Dio has since invited them to perform for the RJD Cancer Fundraiser (RJD died of cancer) and assigned them The Last in Line to sing, which they killed. You are a bit late to the Liliac phenomenon. These kids have taken the world by storm, not easy when you are totally independent. They have gotten all of the right attention and have released some 20+ original songs as well a slew of covers. Keep going down the rabbit hole as it leads to a bat cave. You won't be sorry. BTW, Liliac is Romanian for bat. It sounds much like the original. They add the Liliac touch to every cover but stay very true to the originals. BTW, their music producer is their Dad!

This is an excellent cover of Holy Diver, but I gotta throw in with other people saying you should absolutely check out some Dio in the future, man is one of the legends of metal. I'm partial to Man on the Silver Mountain and Give Her the Gun, as well as the original Holy Diver.

I was not expecting to see Liliac on a reaction video. A few years back, they made a little splash on social media, as clearly their musical chops are there, and their singer is immensely talented. Glad to see they are not just a flash in the pan. And yes...they nailed the cover.
You HAVE to check out Ronnie James Dio. A godfather of Metal. He is the one who made, "The Horns' gesture a thing. Tracks to check out are, "Heaven and Hell" when he was with Black Sabbath (after they fired Ozzy). "Stargazer" when he was with Rainbow (which had Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple). As well as, "Rainbow in the Dark," "The Last in Line," "Dream Evil," "Don't Talk to Strangers," and "Straight through the Heart," when he created his namesake band Dio.
So on the 7th day God rested, but on the 8th day God created LILIAC and saw that His creation was very very good (so it was, the beginning of Vamp Metal). Then God blessed LILIAC and chose them as the Metal Band to conquer the world! Genesis 1:31½
OK, as others have said, Liliac (pronounced LILY - ACK) is a family band first formed around 2013 or so, by the name of The Cristeas (their family name). And it was only the 3 oldest at the time, and they sang covers of pop songs, like a Rhianna song for example. However in 2015, when the two youngest kids were old enough to learn and play an instrument, they switched to playing Rock and Metal and changed their name to Liliac. Their first Rock cover was Wild Thing. The current bass player, starred off with rhythm guitar. The vocalist played bass early on, but dropped it in favor of being more of a frontwoman. That transition occurred between the videos Chain of Thorns and Dancing in the Dark. Their parents are Romanian. Their father grew up very near Vlad the Impaler's castle in Transylvania. The name Liliac means Bat in Romanian. And so the band adopted what they call Vamp Metal as their style. (It's more of a Look than a music style.) The father was a music producer and a sound engineer. So it was quite easy for him to put out great arrangements and mix the sound very well. You'll most definitely hear the bass in all of their videos and songs. The Keyboards come thru pretty good as well. Their mother handles all the Merch. They produce all music and videos themselves away from the big Record Labels which is a good thing, because it allows them to do what they want and not what the Labels want. The family originally lived in Seattle, but eventually moved to Santa Monica area where they performed on the Pier every weekend. But now they live in Georgia as of late 2020. In their video for Mystery they used the Georgia Guide Stones as a backdrop, which are located out in the country east of Atlanta. Now then, about Dio. Ronnie James Dio is, or shall I say, was an old school Metal vocalist going back to the 70s. He sang for Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and his own solo career under the name Dio. Holy Diver was the title track to his debut album, going back to 1983. Do yourself a favor and look up the original and then compare to Liliac'x cover of it, and you'll find that it's spot on....as are all their covers. Why? Because well, first of all, Melody, the vocalist is a huge fan of Dio and she draws her influence from him, and second, due to her raspy singing voice she can mimick many male vocalists depending on the band they're covering. That said, their Originals are also Extremely good as well, if not better than their covers. If you wanna blow up your channels views, and subscribers, do more Liliac songs and you'll see your channel grow big time.

Ronnie james Dio... you will recognize alot of Tenacious D is heavily dio influenced. Dio was early black sabbath too. Rip Dio. one of the metal greats.
OMG, I know one thing for sure that you are not a heavy metal fan in any sense of the word. That isn't putting you down at all brother but if you look up 'Ronnie James Dio" and look up this song listen to it and you will instantly know how good this band is. Ronnie James Dio happens to be the lead singer's idol she worshipped the King of Metal as some call him. If you have some time to check out some of their own tunes that S M mention's in his comment (right under James Gibbens) I'm pretty sure you will be very impressed and then the age of these kids is another awsome thing the oldest is only 19 in this video.
This is a fantastic cover. Their cover of crazy train is just as impressive, maybe more so, because they were 2 yrs younger. BTW, Liliac is Romanian for bat. It sounds much like the original. They add the Liliac touch to every cover but stay very true to the originals. BTW, their music producer is their Dad!

It's a family band, yes. All of them are brothers and sisters. I recently had "Liliac' on my Podcast show. It's on my channel. Melody is an amazing vocalist. They're managed by their father. The original was written by the late Ronnie James Dio. His drummer recently reached out to Liliac and they've since become friends and have worked together. They have some original content as well. React to their song called "Nothing" and also "Sail Away" both originals.

I was not expecting to see Liliac on a reaction video. A few years back, they made a little splash on social media, as clearly their musical chops are there, and their singer is immensely talented. Glad to see they are not just a flash in the pan.

You HAVE to check out Ronnie James Dio. A godfather of Metal. He is the one who made, "The Horns' gesture a thing.
Tracks to check out are, "Heaven and Hell" when he was with Black Sabbath (after they fired Ozzy). "Stargazer" when he was with Rainbow (which had Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple). As well as, "Rainbow in the Dark," "The Last in Line," "Dream Evil," "Don't Talk to Strangers," and "Straight through the Heart," when he created his namesake band Dio.
So on the 7th day God rested, but on the 8th day God created LILIAC and saw that His creation was very very good (so it was, the beginning of Vamp Metal). Then God blessed LILIAC and chose them as the Metal Band to conquer the world! Genesis 1:31½
OK, as others have said, Liliac (pronounced LILY - ACK) is a family band first formed around 2013 or so, by the name of The Cristeas (their family name). And it was only the 3 oldest at the time, and they sang covers of pop songs, like a Rhianna song for example. However in 2015, when the two youngest kids were old enough to learn and play an instrument, they switched to playing Rock and Metal and changed their name to Liliac. Their first Rock cover was Wild Thing. The current bass player, starred off with rhythm guitar. The vocalist played bass early on, but dropped it in favor of being more of a frontwoman. That transition occurred between the videos Chain of Thorns and Dancing in the Dark.
Their parents are Romanian. Their father grew up very near Vlad the Impaler's castle in Transylvania. The name Liliac means Bat in Romanian. And so the band adopted what they call Vamp Metal as their style. (It's more of a Look than a music style.) The father was a music producer and a sound engineer. So it was quite easy for him to put out great arrangements and mix the sound very well. You'll most definitely hear the bass in all of their videos and songs. The Keyboards come thru pretty good as well. Their mother handles all the Merch. They produce all music and videos themselves away from the big Record Labels which is a good thing, because it allows them to do what they want and not what the Labels want.
The family originally lived in Seattle, but eventually moved to Santa Monica area where they performed on the Pier every weekend. But now they live in Georgia as of late 2020. In their video for Mystery they used the Georgia Guide Stones as a backdrop, which are located out in the country east of Atlanta.
Now then, about Dio. Ronnie James Dio is, or shall I say, was an old school Metal vocalist going back to the 70s. He sang for Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and his own solo career under the name Dio. Holy Diver was the title track to his debut album, going back to 1983. Do yourself a favor and look up the original and then compare to Liliac'x cover of it, and you'll find that it's spot on....as are all their covers. Why? Because well, first of all, Melody, the vocalist is a huge fan of Dio and she draws her influence from him, and second, due to her raspy singing voice she can mimick many male vocalists depending on the band they're covering. That said, their Originals are also Extremely good as well, if not better than their covers. If you wanna blow up your channels views, and subscribers, do more Liliac songs and you'll see your channel grow big time.

Ronnie james Dio... you will recognize alot of Tenacious D is heavily dio influenced. Dio was early black sabbath too. Rip Dio. one of the metal greats.
I LOVE. this band but what blows my mind is how you never heard DIO. I get it's not necessarily a prefered genre, but still, WOW.

That isn't putting you down at all brother but if you look up 'Ronnie James Dio" and look up this song listen to it and you will instantly know how good this band is. Ronnie James Dio happens to be the lead singer's idol she worshipped the King of Metal as some call him. If you have some time to check out some of their own tunes that S M mention's in his comment (right under James Gibbens) I'm pretty sure you will be very impressed and then the age of these kids is another awsome thing the oldest is only 19 in this video.
