We have finally reached the halfway point AND crossed over the California/Nevada state border! It was a great day of feeling accomplished, and we got to celebrate with a stunning campsite! Tomorrow, we resupply for the last time.

"Here's my favorite part of nature. Ski lifts." 😂 🤣 😂
I come back and rewatch old videos. I've seen every single video from your PCT hike. And now loving your Tahoe hike. Keep posting, sending love from Romania.
Thank you so much!!
@ 14:33 OMG, Dyana has "Starburst" on her foot!!! Now that's a true friend..... 👭🥰😘
Whenever I wonder if this old guy will ever hike a long trail, you release a new video. You and Dyana are such an #Inspiration. Over the years I've known many Pharmacy students travelling to Reno to do Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences at Renown Health. Many of them fall in love with the area and end up staying.
Dyana needs Injinji socks.
"That's all that really matters'? Of course not - the trail and its beauty has gotten progressively better, the video quality has gotten progressively better, Dyana except for her feet has become a trail star and who needs condos when you have all of that!
Fingers crossed for Diana’s heel to feel better! 🤞🏻
Same!!
I loved the intro! That really popped with the music and the scenery -- well done. I agree, the lady with the horses is crazy badass. But so are y'all, both of you! I hope Diana's foot problem resolves itself or at least stays manageable. These are fun videos, and they have me seriously considering the TRT (or part of it) in the next year or so.
Thanks you for video sad horses I but you miss them
Nice intro! 🎶🎵 Rationing water in such a dry climate is like someone putting freshly baked, warm chocolate chip cookies in front of you with a sign that says, Don’t Eat! It’s soooo hard! Those horses melt my heart! ♥️
Music reminds me of the Red Elvises.... my favorite...
You two ROCK!!!!!! 🥰😘🤩
This has been the most fun trail to follow you on.👍. Mountains, horses, dogs, trees, streams, fun hiking companion,.....who could ask for more. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. And that hat really brings out the blue in your eyes, Starburst. Excellent choice in hats. 👍
Killer music and awesome footage, as always!
Did you jam out?
I remember taking a break at that water Crossing you were at with the horses. I thought the water tasted like pine trees 🤣. The ski chairs were above lol.
Luv the music! I didn't know before that there was such a huge no-water 32 mile carry. Wow!
Ya, it’s quite dry on that side!
Dope content!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thanks!!
beautiful video.... !
Really cool trail. ✌️
Always love your videos I think you should have a contest what or whom collects more dust Jennifer or a Swiffer duster? That Dyana if so funny I love you both hiking together and tell your husband Thank you for his service and you for supporting him God Bless the USA 🇺🇸
You guys just keep going and going. I hope the heal issue got better. Keep trekking.
Great video, hope Dyana feels better. Wish the video was longer, I could watch for hours. :)
Oh thank you!! 😃
OMG! Did you hike on your hands?🤣
It looks like you really enjoy and get into your hike. I think the dirt looks sexy. Or something like that. Love the videos. Jeff
awesome video as always.
Thank you!!
Yikes! Dayana's toe looks painful, I hope it came right. Some great views of Lake Tahoe Jen - what an idyllic place. You guys are going great!!
Great job!
Thank you!
So long between posts that I thought that maybe you ran into trouble. Keep on trucking! I assume you got off the trail before it got really smoky.
@Eme Kennede I know that but I don't remember when the smoke started.
🤠👍 Great views 🙃👌
Just out of curiosity how much does the bear can weight without and with all the stickers?
Hey! I hiked up to that ski lift!
😃
That was a great video. I really like that stretch of the trail, except I don't like the part about 30 miles to the next water source. I hate carrying water, it's so heavy. I assume there's no water source at Spooner Trailhead unless someone brings it to you?
@@dorkladytravels Ha, leeches. I've heard most of the lakes on the AT have leeches, the key is, don't stand in the water too long.
So cool, That dog was so cute! Those horses were so cool too. Watch out! You will end up on WikiFeet! LOL.
What’s WikiFeet!?!? Lol
@@JenniferMabus OMG, well, it's a place where there they put photos of celebrities feet and rate them. Weird, I know.
Hey, I had that same ring for awhile. White with a blue feather on it? Sadly it didn't last long before the print was gone, gone, gone. Is yours still there? Great video too by the way! ;)
Yes! That's the one I have. It's still there though! Maybe in time...
I am surprised that with the great experience you both have on the long trails, you still have problems with blisters or wounds on your feet. Is it because of the heat, the sand?
I have figured out what helps my feet, but Dyana’s feet seem to be blister happy!!
When u showed Dyana's blisters I had sympathy pains!!! Trust her feet get better!
Always take time out to view your surroundings; that's why we go outdoors's isn't it. Going slowly allows you to apricate it better. Long distance walking is not a race (OK a few people want to make it one, but they are misguided) Walk at your own pace, take side trips, we do this for fun after all.
I hope your ,well
Hi, Jen! Just going to say I'm echoing many of the fine comments below.... But when you get into those bits on your nasty feet (JK), I have to LOL!! I saw # 9 post today and was wondering how far behind I was... actually only had skipped #8, so not bad. Due to Covid, I'm stuck usually watching thru the hotspot on my phone, so even at 360p, it tends to 'buffer'. A guy just shouldn't be forced to watch Trail vids at anything less than 720p... Elon Musk, hurry up and get your sats up!! & yes, loved that Intro! Take care!
How much water do you normally need since two liters in a day is not enough?
In a day, 3L is pretty good depending on the heat
@@JenniferMabus water is like 8 pounds a gallon if I remember correctly. So it makes sense to not carry a lot of it except when none is available.
I carry a CNOC collapsible bag. I think it’s about 2 liters. It’s for filtering thru a Sawyer but it’s also good for carrying extra water on those long dry hauls. Two purposes.
Will there be a Tahoe rim trail gear video 😁
Yes!! :)
@@JenniferMabus 🙌🙌
Does that also include your bladders you use for filtering your water?
What do you mean?
The Whimsical Woman, what were you using to filter your water? Or where y’all just filling your bottles and drinking through the filters
9 please

The Dirt Monster is real!
Cool rocks and trails in Northern Nevada. You ladies look a little worse for wear in this video. Man...Dyana needs a pair of Injinji. That is a bad blister that had to hurt.
I wound up giving her a fresh pair of Injinji's. Well, I MADE her take them haha
@@JenniferMabus that was very nice of you! Once I started wearing the injinji under my regular darn toughs I never got another blister unless the shoe was tied too loose.
