Cal Neva Lodge, Crystal Bay NV - Lake Tahoe May 15 2022

The Cal-Neva Lodge is a North Lake Tahoe icon. I worked there during the tail end of its heyday, in the late 70's and early 80's. It's been closed since 2013, when a major renovation started. Financial difficulties quashed the project, and she's sitting in limbo, in a sad state.
Many of he old Cabins (including Frank Sinatra's) and Chalets (including the one Marilyn Monroe stayed in 2 weeks before she died) have been torn down. The iconic swimming pool that straddled the borders of CA and NV below the "Circle Bar" is gone.
