If you watch the live video, it just shows another dimension to Chuck's showmanship and performance art. He brings people together, they have a great time, and it's wonderful.
I've watched thousands of music reaction videos, and I have never ever seen a reactor laugh and smile as much as you did during this one! Put a smile on my face!!
Imagine the face of a church going woman hearing her kids out playing with the neighborhood kids all singing this song! WE didn't know the innuendos but she got it quick!
I saw your reaction to Achilles Last Stand, and decided to take a look at your other vids, because I gotta respect someone who loves John Bonham so much. My Ding-A-Ling was Berry's only number 1 hit, which is surprising, and probably because of racial things going on in the '50's. Chuck Berry invented Rock-N-Roll, period. In the 1960's, all the major British Invasion bands that revived rock-n-roll and reflected our own music back to us held Chuck in very high esteem. I highly recommend his autobiography, it took him 7 years to write and he is very honest about everything and you get a real sense of who he is as a person. It also paints a picture of segregated America in the 1950's that might be eye-opening to some who are not familiar with the harsh realities of those times. In 2017, Chuck Berry passed at 90 years of age. I remember going to work at the Olive Garden and being kinda bummed at the news, and none of my younger coworkers knew who he was. I had to mention Back to the Future, or some Beatles songs or Pulp Fiction to them to get anything. Sigh. The great thing is, all the music is still there, I regularly play a CD of his in my car while I Doordash - The Great 28, a compilation of his early Chess Records hits. Hail, hail Rock & Roll and Chuck Berry !
Chuck Berry always had that Country vibe. A great mix of Blues & Country, and really great lyrics and entertainment. This was fun. The video was amazing too. I think there's one in the UK, and people just loved it.
You REALLY need to see the live video of his performance. He instructs the crowd to sing the different parts, based on whether you were male or female.
Fun tune but edited at the beginning. Remember hearing on the radio in my youth! I believe it was recorded in a prison in England, but I could be wrong. I do know that a Chuck's backing band on this recording was a little-known band at the time, the Average White Band. React to their blue-eyed soul songs "Pick Up The Pieces" or "Cut The Cake". Thanks.
If anyone who is not easily shocked by downright raunchy and absolute nasty verses in songs; check out the glam rock metal band 'Steel Panther' with their release of "Death to All but Metal". Not only is the song loaded with expletives; 'Steel Panther' doesn't hesitate to diss several well-known recording artists in this song. Besides, all the material 'Steel Panther' releases are filthy. At any rate, most of the songs are smokin' hot and heavy bangers. 😮💫🎤🎸🎸🥁🥁🔊⚡🔥🎧
Chuck gave instructions before the song started. I have the album. It was recorded at a music festival in England and Pink Floyd was the next act. It's all fun until you find out Chuck was later caught taking vids of female guests using the restroom at a restaurant he owned.
You need to view the full live video version of this - it’s even much funnier and much more entertaining as Chuck was quite The Entertainer. ua-cam.com/video/hMddte6yD2w/v-deo.htmlsi=V7_ZSzhjStHJfioy
Do you think this one’s interesting, you should listen to Back Door Santa, by Clarence Carter. I heard it one year around Christmas and I was like, oh no!
Definitely watch the video while he's telling the crowd how to help.

The look on your face is what has made this song so fun to introduce to people.
This was a cute life performance. Chuck Berry seem like he had a very silly and fun loving personality.
It's been a long time since I've heard this song and laughed to it. I think I grew up in a great period of time.

If you have the chance, look for the video version where he also gets the audience to sing with him. Yes, the men only say the ding-a-lings.
UK audience in this recording 😂 saw him live in Bristol , not disappointed

Dr. Demento played this on his late-night radio show. Good olllld memories 😀

I was laughing through your whole reaction 😂
This was on the radio!
It’s silver bells hanging on a string, seems pretty clear to me. 😉
I had this on 8 track back in the 70s
I remember being in elementary school and all the little boys walking around singing this and laughing like hyenas.

A great and fun song by a legend. ❤😂
This is a live performance and he told them what to do to add to the song.
I used to have this 45. 😂
This was a "throw-away" song for Chuck. But it proved so popular that it kept Elvis Presley's "Burning Love" from the #1 spot.

How this got past the cencers and went #1 is beyond me 😊
You need to watch the full length live audience video to have a good clue of what is going on.
I had a patient who was a chauffeur for chuck. He ended up getting arrested for climbing into a Women's college window Salem/ Roanoke Va

Watch the live performance for this 😂
Watch/Listen to the long version ... < do yourself a favour and do it! :)
Fried Snapping Turtle is delicious. Revenge for Chuck.
You might to go back to 1952 and react to " My big 10 inch".
It's an absolute shame this, of all Berry's incredible catalogue, was the only song to reach #1.
This is Chuck's only number one song
Great song. I didn't know someone else wrote it. Was it a cover or did that guy write it for Chuck?
You should listen to Plastic Saddle by Nat Stuckey figure that one out.
Watch the video!
You must watch the Live performance. Even if you dont react to it.

Speaking of funny Christmas songs, I think Drew should do Merry Christmas From the Family by Robert Earl Keen too! 😅
The live video version is much better.
I used to find this song funny until he had some issues with underage girls.
Chuck had problems with underage girls off and on throughout his career. At least what actually came to light.
obviously you're not very educated or you would know a double entendre is
You left out what so your comment is apt.
What part of your education taught you how to insult and be rude to people?
