Congratulation on the award, your certainly deserve it. I'm sure the completed Sopwith Camel will be up for an award in the future. I always enjoy following your progress. Cheers Paul

Well done! It would be good to watch some of your fly-in/fly-out of some of these locations 😀

Thanks, I’ll see what I can do. It’s a big distraction while flying and open to criticism

Congratulations on your "Best Homebuilt" award. Zenith made the announcement yesterday but I didn't get a chance to comment until today. Keep up the good work, I'm sure you'll get one for the Camel too!

    G'day Scott,
    Yay Team !
Congratulations on the Award mate...; very well done !
That sort of looked like a
Fly-In where nobody turned up unless they actually had an Aeroplane...(!) ; either there was not much in the way of
General Public Spectators in attendance, or you managed to avoid
    "The Madding Crowd..."
by being somewhere else and pointing the Camera away from any Herds of Lollygaggers and Icecream-lickers which might have been there ?
    They've certainly got the
    Dessicated dried-out sandy baking Dustbowl-Under-The-Sun...,
"Thing", going on there - beside the Runway
    For Visitors to
    Camp out in lovely
    Neat Straight Rows....
Still, apparently the Heat you complained of was nowhere near hot enough for those
    Flamboyant
People who were competing to pump the most Oil possible into their
    Hot Exhaust Manifolds as they
Fly (and Taxi blind !)..., all the better to make the most
Smoke, while actively indulging in public
    Attention-Seeking &
Limit-Testing Displays - all done before the largest Audience they can possibly contrive to attract...
    If they didn't want
    Every
    Next Summer to be
    Forever
Hotter & Windier & Drier & Stormier & Firier & Hailier, with more intense (hotter and drier...) Heatwaves and
    Floodier Inundations between the
    MegaFireStorms...;
    Then they would not have
    Chosen to
    Compete to
    Burn, and
    Inject, and
    Pump..., Ever more
    Fossil Carbon
    Into the
    Sky...
But perhaps the most incongruous aspect is that they're trying to hold an Airshow - in these Post-Ramstein/Post-11 September 2001, & Post-Shoreham Dayze of Safety-Consciousness ; and their Airshow is planned for where some bloody Nong has gone and erected a veritable
Forest of Lightposts & Lampstands poking up like a Barrage of Anti-Stuka Defences and Obstacles all around and over any Areas from where any Airshow Attendees might possibly be gathered to watch - like Taxiways, Aprons, Lawns between Hangars, etc.
So the Crowd, if there was one, was fenced off under the Anti-Aircraft Towers...; and the
    Displays were all conducted
    Far far away,
Out over the Runway - well beyond the range of any
    "Standard" (Portrait or Landscape) Lens.
To see that Flying on Camera would need at least a 5x Telephoto Lens ; and then Holding it steady while tracking and framing and focussing gets
    Tricky.
I have some special bits of Kit which do it ; for 45mm Film Camera Stills I use Rifle-Stocks to mount the Camera/Lens on - and for my Phone's Video Camera I mate it at 5x onto my 10x Bushnell Binoculars and mount the resulting 50x Rig on a Tripod.
To see them, search my Videos for,
    "Zenit 300mm Photosniper",
    &
    "1,000mm-4,000mm Super-Sniper..."
    &
    "50 X Telephoto Video-Sniper...".
I bought my first Photosniper in 1982, for photographing Aeroplanes..., but I mostly practiced on Seagulls on the Wing...(!), as a Student Nurse, in Sydney...
    Such is life,
    Have a good one...
    Stay safe.
    ;-p
    Ciao !

Don’t over think it. It was a huge success according to the local Mayor and a great event to attend with great attendance. My local club could learn a lot.

Congrats on the award! do we get a Cruzer video of the flight out and back? love the build videos but missing the flying ones too!

I tend to stay away from flying videos. It can be a huge distraction while flying and also open to criticism if edited wrong. I’ll see in the future if I film my flying thanks

Yes, well done Scott, I expect to see that award framed and on the hanger wall in no time 👍👍
Thanks for another great video and covering a lot of small aircraft.
How does the cruiser compare to the likes of the SA built Ventura 4's?
