Me: Watching the evolution of F1 cars from 80's era to 2010's hybrid era. Also me: Taking special attention into the changes of sponsor ads just beside of the hairpins year by year.
In most years, there will be that one guy trying to overtake during the turn and terribly fail XD I learnt this the hard way in NFS 5 Porsche Unleashed :") Grand days
I noticed immidiately that in old timey f1 they turn in extremely early and try and do the corner sort of symmetrically where as todays cars go deeper before turn in, probably partly because the cars wheel bases are so long but also because they will have a shot at a good exit and there is no need to cover the inside lane as noone can take the corner on the inside.
Look how easy it was to identify the different teams back in 2019. You can barely tell who's who these days because the csrs all run dark colours and similar paint schemes.
I was surprised that 1995 and 1998 were the years with the biggest noticeable difference in car size and that the monsters of the (then) current F1 rules was more of a gradual increase in size
It just feels melancholic to hear "Ayrton Senna's leading" and suddenly it stops
RIP

me looking at the plant in the middle of the hairpin
@@bodom1926 me too. Hahahah most beautiful was in 1999-2000
Notice how senna is leading almost every time in the 80s
Look at how small the cars look compared to todays superboats
I was expecting that 40 years of engineering would allow modern cars to take the hairpin faster. But surprisingly, its all about the same speed.
Not much you can do to improve traction between rubber and tarmac
Actually it's faster nowadays. Could be even more faster if active suspension and active braking were allowed. Tyre sizes also got limited.
Downforce has improved a lot in 40 years but when driving that slow downforce is irrelevant
It's because at those speeds, downforce and general grip doesn't make as much of a difference
@@alexp4932 what is active braking?
Ha just remembered the teenage me calling him Giancarlo fizzystella 😂😂
Great compilation, incredible how little change there is in the last 40 years compared to everything else in F1
Thia video just shows the evolution of display and camera quality
"It's Senna leading..."
Brought tear into my eye, not gonna lie.
my favorite part when the commentator was Murray Walker, R.I.P
The worlds most famous hairpin turn in all of motorsports the Lowes Hairpin
This must have been a really, really long race
Ah yes,the corner in F1 only pros can drive over 40 kmh.
It feels surreal from hearing Senna to the era of Schumacher and eventually fading into Hamilton
Needs more hairpin
Needs more hair
@@heisenburg8608 that's a lot of damage

does that recovery crane ever move? between 2002 and 2019 it was in the exact same place lmaooo
I believe now Formula E will use the full Monaco layout after all I can't wait to see them to enter the tunnel for the first time
2022: yuki tsunoda drift in hairpin
If you skip from 1979 to 2020 you can see how monaco is really becoming a hard track to race on, look at the size difference
There is a palm tree Chamareops humillis (on the island) which resisted from 1980 to 2012.
I miss it!
The cars are too big now.

I knew cars were bigger nowadays. Now I realize how much bigger they are.
Heinz Prüller - what a legendary commentator
Why was my sound off last couple of minutes?
4:27 it's a bit odd to hear American accent in F1, though it's really refreshing
no 2020, end of the streak
Hearing Schumacher's and Senna's name just made me feel so emotional
*"Senna bateu forte!"*
U know that you love the F1 if you watched the entire video
RIP the giant palm tree in the middle
Most boring track imo
Yeah you right
Nah Catalunya is worse
2016
@@categoriaxbox2396 you were saying?
when you notice that 90% of the clips from modern eras briefly had yellow flags
I like how in 2019, the commentator mistook Nico Hulkenberg with Nico Rosberg
Great footage!
Looks like a dance

It's like Monet's Water Lilies, but F1.
Why do I feel deja vu from cars 2
The second race in Cars 2 was inspired by Monaco.
The most exciting thing was to watch the palm trees grow. Whatta boring track. I’m sure it’s fun to party there but the race is a snooze fest.
Nico rosber....Nico Hülkenberg
The cars have gotten too big for the track, but the race will go on.
If they make the cars any longer they aren't gonna make the corner lol
I watched it just because of the palm trees :/
The tree grows every second
Melco hairpin: Cute
poor palm tree
