K series are some really good motors. My del sol came with a fully built 12.5:1 k24a2 and made almost 300hp all motor on a mustang dyno. Banged 9k rpm limiter for years and accidentally money shifted many many times before it chucked a rod. threw a stock k24a2 in it and it ended up having a cracked block at the oil pressure sensor and i didnt want to pull the motor to cut that block off and fix it right then. So i threw some of that jb weld metal putty in there and its been running perfect with no oil leaks for years. i actually sold it last year and its still running on the same motor no problems. I plan on building an awd k series eg hatch at some point when i get a big house with a shop. Hoa's frown upon that stuff unfortunately.
