Moved to Chestermere this year and never coming back to Calgary! People here are super friendly and always in a good mood!! Tons of festivals and fireworks and lake is awesome!
Chestermere's charm was its small town feel outside of Calgary. The limited amenities could be overlooked because of this. However, now its become the worst of both worlds. Massive sprawl, insufficient roads, bare bones public transit, corrupt city council (mayor was removed, old council all quit, spending scandals with utilities etc.), limited shops (we always drive to East Hills or farther into Calgary to get anything meaningful), limited rec options (studios, gyms etc., the free skate is limited to 1-2 hours during business hours on weekdays lol), no pool (considering Chestermere's "water theme"), the beach is way too small and overrun in the summer with Calgarians, I could go on. The library is good, some decent festivals, and the walkways along the lake are pretty nice for dog walks etc. I am worried Chestermere's identity will evaporate with this massive sprawl, poor planning, poor infrastructure, and poor amenities.
All fair points. Maybe with the gained equity it could be a good time to consider the change? If you want to chat let us know. www.chamberlaingroup.ca/contact/

No, stay away! We moved there just over 12 years ago (not a new build) we wanted to live in a small town it had a population of 10,000 , now its a city and over doubled in size and growling rapidly , it's lost its small town feel and that's why we moved there, sorry but the taxes are insane since we have nothing to show for it, no hospital pool, old rec center, and lack of schools for the growing population .The infrastructure can't keep up the sewage system often smells and traffic is getting worse and the roads are poorly maintained, fun times driving to calgary in winter , closing off access to the main highway and reducing the speed limits. And remember the it's not really a lake but a slough often with contaminated with animal feces. Fancy a swim ? i was a great place to live till the over development. Thanks City hall. Once our son is done with school I can see us moving.
Lived here for years, lake is clean as the water changes every 7 days off the Bow. Never in 20 years has the lake flooded. It was a slough back in the early part of the cp rail development. It was damned up to make a lake, and increase water levels to feed the WID irrigation district. Clean, warm in the summer water levels controlled never flood, water quality tested, deep enough for motor boats and 3 great beaches. Homes on the lake are about 1.5 million, unless its a tear down. Please no response from idiots that call it names.
@@ChamberlainGroup For sure. I grew up in Abbeydale and took the train through Marlborough and I'm happy there's no train in Chestermere lol. Most of the people I grew up with moved out there because there isn't the open drug use and the community is really tight.

So great! Glad you found a place you love!
You should make this video again, and compare it! Especially against Calgary prices.
Other pros:
1. It is 20 minutes to downtown.
2. The elementary and high school are highly ranked.
3. The bike and skate park.
4. The lake.
All true. A ton of pros for living in Chestermere for sure! 🙌🙌
20 mins to DT....really?
@@curtlizzi3167 for sure not on a snow day like today 😂 but with the right traffic/time of day it can be done!
@@ChamberlainGroup I agree not on snow days. However, it takes me 22 minutes to get to downtown on normal days.

Do you have any experience with moving families from Ontario to Chestermere?
We absolutely do. If you want to chat just reach out and we can help you sort it out www.chamberlaingroup.ca/contact/
No C-train is actually a pro
I guess it could go either way, depending on what is important to you! 😃

Are there any condos in chestermere
Yes there are. If you can email us at info@chamberlaingroup.ca we can get you a list of them and what’s available.
@@ChamberlainGroup hi just sent you email.
It used to be a beautiful town but now not sure about.
Thanks for watching and comment. What makes you say this?
@@ChamberlainGroup it changed in the last 7 years. Has increased in density and if I were to chose, I would chose Mahogany over Chestermere.
When i was young it was a swamp...wait unil it floods out there lol
Chestermere best city than Calgary
For those that love it, it is a great place!
Illegal suites and unkempt properties everywhere. Take a wild guess why....
