- Our latest installment of the Small Batch project puts you in the spotlight, bringing our blending tables right to your home with our Small Batch Blending Kit. Jeremy Reeves, our head blender, is here today to explain how you can experiment, create, and blend your own unique tobaccos in the comfort of your home using our comprehensive and interactive blending kit.
These kits will be hitting retailers soon, and each features a range of different tobacco components, an assortment of flavorings, as well as a digital scale, a corn cob pipe for tasting, and safety equipment. We're excited to share with you all a little bit of what we do here everyday, and thrilled to see what you come up with.
and I haven't seen it since. Wish they would release another run of these.
Reminds me of the chemistry sets for boys, both in the 1960's and 1860's
Bring back THE BEAST! A lot of folks, myself included, wanted to try it :) A lot of us didn't even know it existed until YEARS LATER, at that! :P
Finally, a do it yourself blending kit; this is great. Thanks Jeremy.
Our pleasure Dave!
Just received my kit on Fathers Day and I have already made New Joe Krantz. I am loving it! Thanks again.
I don't know if I'd need the extra stuff that comes with but no price is too high for a good beard net
Indeed!!
Wish ya'll would re-release this kit, pretty nifty idea.
Wow! What a really cool idea! The beard net is a nice touch too, lol!
Haha, thanks, we're glad you like it!
I just bought this. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Actually I'm more excited to get to try individual components to help develop my palate a bit. But getting to play with blending will be a real treat. Thanks Jeremy and C&D!
Our pleasure, glad you're enjoying it!
Great idea! I can't wait for this to hit the shelves. Thanks Jeremy & team @ C&D!
Our pleasure Jesse!
I'm a little late to the pipe smoking game but I sure would like to get my very own mad scientist tobacco kit. Looks like a lot of fun and this would certainly bring the hobby to the next level. That said, I definitely need to get better educated on blends and the uniqueness of each type of tobaccos that are used.
I'm new to the game and I really like C&D pipe tobaccos. They are great.
To Jeremy this must feel like using an easy bake oven
Please release another batch of these!
This is awesome!
Great idea!
This is fantastic!
We're happy you think so Joe, thanks!
That sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.
What a cool idea!
Glad you like it!
I love how it comes with a beard net! haha!
Holypissbags i found my new favorite blend in autumn evening thank u good sirs
Have to get me one of these kits ! :)
I love Haunted Bookshop, one of the few burley/red Virginia blends I smoke. Got a few ounces I've got stashed that been aging for a few yrs
You guys are friggen priceless. I think I want the apron most of all lol.
Haha, no love for the beard net? ;)
Total love for the beard net but doesn't the little extra hair add some spice :)!
1:02 and through the magic of editing...
This is an amazing and interesting idea! I will have to buy my own kit when I have the money,........ I already have many ideas for my own blends. Will you be selling the tobaccos individually? I'd imagine I'll run out pretty fast.......
He had me at 0:36 but at 01:04 i was gone!
Kit sounds legit!
Great ideal!
Thanks!
You're Welcome!
Very cool!
Thanks Derek!
***** Officially requesting your next blend be called Hype Train. 😎👍
Lol!
Well...that looks fun!
Glad you think so :D
I love this idea! One question though, is that a Missouri Meerschaum or a crappy Chinese cob?
Will you ever release this kit again?
I am begging you guys to start offering 8oz cans on your blends.
All the two oz cans drives me crazy. Can I live to see the day when
Visions of Celphais comes in a 8 oz tin?
I can't find this kit anywhere. Does Cornell & Diehl still make this kit? I can't find it anywhere.
Bring this back please.
Pretty interesting kit
Can i ask what kind of flavor drops are these???
do you suggest pressing the tobacco after that?
I love the beard net. Because we all know there's hardly a smooth chinned pipe smoker on this earth. Lol.
Are there any thoughts of rereleasing this?
Nice! I'd like to try making some flake someday, but I guess you have to start here and then press it? Your factory has at least 3 presses; is it possible to make small batch flakes using some C clamps and wooden frames?
yes, kinda. metal works better though.
Cannot find this anywhere. Would love to purchase
Where do you get one and how much are they
Do the toppings actually get mixed in when using a dropper? Seems like it would be mostly concentrated on whatever pieces it initially lands on. Seems like it would be better to use a mister or something. Anyone have any experience using a mist/spray vs a dropper?
are these still sold?
Where can I find your beard nets consistently. my beard is half your size and every time I find them that are big enough the product is discontinued by the time I need more
Dear friend, I have been looking for a substitute for McClelland5110. Please give me advice!
I'm a bit skeptical. How is this so cheap on smokingpipes.com? I thought perique was crazy expensive
Depending on what Perique you're using, it can be. Straight St James Perique can be quite expensive, and also very inconsistent. Arcadian Perique is the more commonly used, is cheaper, more consistent year to year, and is still processed in St James Parish using the traditional techniques. It looks like you need a 2XL beard net
Can you smoke this stuff right after you mix it? Or do you have to wait a day or so?
Beard net because anybody that orders this is going to need that.
Do you still sell them, I cannot find them on smokingPipes dot com?
Is this still a thing !?
Beard hair is my secret ingredient
Will this ever be released again?
It's possible! If enough people request it than I don't see why not. I'll pass this up the chain, thank you!
A beard mask... because every pipe smoker has a beard...
*hides beard*
also this method of adding flavoring seems like it'd be very uneven, seems like it'd be better to include a small spray bottle to dilute it with water and spray it on.
Me handing my wallet to the lady cop instead of license and registration. Be gentle sir.

Look guy, my beard is shorter than my hair, and falls out less often than my head hair.
Why are you gonna put a beard net in the kit but no hair net? Put a hairnet and beard net, and a ninja mask. Some of us prefer ninja mask
then covers about half his beard. lol
That's so funny that it includes a beard net because obviously anybody deep into pipe smoking has a 98% chance of being bearded.
The beard just can't fit in....lol
Awkward first 4 seconds.
