You have the most integrity of any women’s wellness practitioner. Appreciate your lessons on how to self advocate. The info about how scale weight versus menopausal body composition is where the real focus ought to be and how to deal with that loss of muscle in conjunction with new visceral fat deposition, is so important. I don’t think the chiropractor wants to see your receipts 😂😂
I love you Doc, you are the only physician who has nailed it regarding vertigo!! No doctor - absolutely none - has made the association between it and menopause. I am so happy you’ve explained it, and with such clarity. I felt I am going nuts. I suddenly developed it and was on meds for a month, which definitely helped out but I just knew there was more to it than the simple diagnosis of “positional vertigo”.Thank youuuu ❤❤❤
Had articles and demanded excellent care and made it clear that if protocols of standard care was not followed - I was reporting the doctor to the Board and if I was only getting three hours of sleep - they were going to have the same.
I’m sorry people are so rude and mean to you. I think you do wonderful work helping us women where others have not. Those who have dismissed our symptoms forever are the mean ones treating us as second class citizens, without whom the world would literally end. Keep up your amazing work
Severe hip and knee pain! Thought I was going to need a walker as I could hardly get out of chair to stand. I’m 50!! All my doctors could not figure it out. No one mentioned menopause!! I start HRT this week!
That happened to me. All tests were normal, but my symptoms were present.... but I wasn't going to sit back and wait until my doctor's got their crap together and did my own research. I figure a lot of women manage menopause without hormonal therapy....so there has to be a way to get through....and I researched every symptom to see if it was related to perimenopause/menopause..... and every symptom was. Thank God for Jesus because if I didn't have Him, I would be going completely insane!! And of course, during this time, I found you... and I'm truly grateful ❤❤
Wow. I've lived with increasing muscle and joint pain in my 40's.....100% dismissed by my female PCP. I mean she gave a low dose muscle relaxer but never took me seriously. My pain has only increased since entering full menopause 2 years ago. All my doc did was increase the NSAID doses and continue to tell me that my labs looked fine. This vidcast has changed my life and also will help the many client's I serve. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
You are a gem!!! So real and honest.. this information has helped me so much. Years ago I got a blood clot so I had to come off their replacement. Oral estrogen I was on before I even could enjoy any type of benefits. I had no idea, like five years later that I could take something. I'm like a soda can rusting away. Thank you thank you thank you... I'm about to do something about that
Wow did not know about tinnitus being a symptom of menopause now that I think about when my tinnitus started and it was around peri to menopause years. Thanks!
I was just told that my incontinent was due to my Ceberal Palsy....I said, "No it's not..I never had problems holding my pee until now..... it's from perimenopause!" I was so mad, I didn't go back. She wanted to do a test in order for me to take this medicine to help me hold my pee. I didn't go back to her, but my regular physician gave me the meds without taking a test and it worked just fine. I was just over seeing any doctor.
I love your mindset!!!! Yes you are soo right!!!! America is a sick care country not a preventative healthcare model!!! Thanks for your proactive and being our warrior for peri and menopause women!!
I am so happy to have found you I've been wanting to get information from someone like you one that truly understand what women goes through, I really appreciate that you care for us women thank you ❤
You are so right, Dr. Haver! Life is never easy at any age. So I hate the b.s. about older women just can't handle all the things anymore. Lack of resilience is the key due to lack of estrogen. Also, I do get brain tremors like I would get when I tried to get off my antidepressants too quickly. At first I thought I was losing it...until you mentioned it as one of the symptoms. Hallelujah!! I can't wait for your next book.❤❤
I absolutely frickin love your videos!! You are a amazing informational resource and I respect the hell out of you for sticking up for menopausal women that have been ignored for too long. Thank you so very much I recommend you to every woman I know. What you’re doing matters to so many women.
Thank you for sharing what we need as women. I learned so much from you. Went to my dr. And thankfully she gave the estradiol patch. After yrs on compounded bi est. Which didn't really help. Never was offered the patch until I learned from you. The patch is life changing. Your awesome.. ❤
Thank you Dr Haver. You are amazing. You are so on point with Everything. I have frozen shoulder knee pain back pain ankle pain. I'm on Livifeme but I'm not getting the full relief I will speak to my doctor about changing over to estradiol instead. Thanks so much it helps to know I'm not in this alone.
Oh wow - I was barred from going back on est patch 4 yrs after ablation with no recurrence of afib bec I was told risk of clot. Even my cardiologist thought it was ridiculous. I am going to an non network gyn in 2 mos.
Hi, TMG, dry eyes, joint pain, and fatigue are real side effects of menopause HRT has helped but not with energy, will need to check out your book thank you. Also use reusable kerug for tea/coffee. take care. 😊Thank you for all your time.
Hey Jane. I’m here as an interested patient too and I’m working my way through the Menopause Practice clinicians guide to help me have a deeper understanding of Womens heath. My day-job is running a large optometry practice with 10 doctors. I also have a Tier 3 Ocular surface disease clinic. I hope you don’t mind if I share a tip. As you know the mainstay of OSD treatment involves ocular lubricants and some sort of heating device for the meibomian glands. I recommend dedicating one bottle of ocular lubricant to your bedside table to instill your morning and bedtime dose while lying down. I find it binds much better to the corneal surface so it doesn’t just drain down the back of your throat. It’s a small tip but I hope you find it helps.
Try dandelion tea. I add licorice tea for taste. I have a hiatal hernia. The pain is right in the heart area, and it can fool you. I was using gas relief pills but find the tea works better.
Listening now and maybe you'll answer it...but I'm 44 with tons of symptoms and tons of lab tests and specialists telling me I'm "NORMAL" when I'm definitely not. I want to try HRT but every seems to keep offering me low dose birth control...which I don't want as it has given me terrible mood swings in the past. I do have regular periods still...does that mean I shouldn't be trying HRT in the form of a patch and progesterone? I just don't know where else to look.
I thought dry eye which I had would correlate but TMJ..would have not guessed but I’ve started to have lower jaw and teeth grinding…wonderful..said very sarcastically!

Furthermore despite being physically active for most of my life i start bp meds in Jan 2023 as well. I did start estradiol vaginal cream 3 years ago for recurrent UTI’s, it was very helpful for that. After listening to you I’m wondering if I missed out by not starting HRT before 60 just for the risk lowering benefits?

In case Dr Haver doesn’t get to this question, it is my understanding that oral progesterone has many benefits over just protecting your uterus. So even if it’s gone you can take oral progesterone.
Hi I went to a gynecologist and I told her or my issues with menopause and dint recommend Anything do you have a Dr in miami that could HELP ME Pleasee
Can you comment if HRT is recommended in post breast ca. lumpectomy,58 yrs old, for DCIS, radiation tx, on Tamoxifen x 4 1/2 yrs, ER/PR +, Having major menopause sxs.
How long can I stay on my estradiol patch? I am a 65 year old who has terrible menopause symptoms at 50. I have been in an estradiol patch for 15 years
Hey Cindy, your doctor needs to look at your personal risk factors on a regular basis, say yearly, unless you have a health change. People can stay in appropriate HRT forever in theory. But the decision of whether you should come off is completely individual.
There is no specific age, but please do check in with your healthcare provider regularly to have the conversation about risks vs benefits. XOXO Community Support Team
Would you be able to make a video on women going through Perimenopause and menopause who have suffered from pcos during their reproductive years and how to treat.
Hello Dr. Haver. When we are taking the supple, ents that you suggested for menopause are also in addition to continue taking a multi vitamin and if so which multivitamin do you suggest for women over 50 in peri menopause.
Dr. Haver does not take a multi-vitamin as she tries to meet her nutritional needs through food first and foremost. She only supplements in the areas where she is unable to meet the needs through food alone. XOXO Community Support Team
Depends on location and size of fibroid. An exam and ultrasound should be good info to judge. There’s a slightly higher risk of expelling it with the fibroid but it’s such a good choice for heavy perimenopausal bleeding. Btw, a progesterone IUD is technically an IUS ( system rather than device). IUDs are copper and I believe only for contraception, not treating peri/menopause.

Hi. I was wondering is it possible to get perimenopause symptoms even when you're still taking the b c pill? I'm 47, I still have a regular menstruation. But I have sleeping problems, which I never had before. I suffer bloating. But the worst thing of all is that I suddenly started getting panic attacks.
I'm 45 and on bc also wondering because my head is always sweating and i have fatigue don't feel like myself. Can't understand if it's perimenopause Or something else

A second question I had is. What is different about taking HRT when a person like myself has had a hysterectomy but still have their ovaries. I am currently ovulating maybe once a year. I am on my3rd day of taking estradiol.
Something funky in your uterus or vagina. Keep checking it even if the first serious of tests says it’s ok. With biopsies, 50% of early cancer can be missed.
Why would a doctor prescribe Provera 10 mg to a post menopausal woman to take monthly. I thought not having a cycle was the whole point of menopause. Can you explain. Thanks.

Is throbbing teeth pain a symptom? I have great teeth and take care of them very well, but the last couple of years they started throbbing terribly - mainly the front six teeth. 😫
I absolutely love you doc but your constant instructions to “tap my face” etc is making us anxious and distracting the attention of the viewers. Please post that on the screen so viewers can get your point while not getting distracted.
You are really awesome and your knowledge is incredible. However, your presentation style is kind of starting to feel rough- I love some good cussing but someone as classy as you saying the F word, while vlogging on a very serious and complicated subject, again and again and again) is tacky and non- professional and lacks class. “ I will take you down every time…….” Yikes! I value you and your vlog has helped me tremendously. Just making some observations!
Love my Miele but have stopped all caffeine to sleep at night.

Why would a doctor prescribe Provera 10 mg to a post menopausal woman to take monthly. I thought not having a cycle was the whole point of menopause. Can you explain. Thanks.
Unfortunately, Dr. Haver cannot provide medical advice for your specific situation. We do have a blog on our website on finding top notch menopause care if you wish to seek a second opinion. Link is in this video's description!

Unexplainable back and knees pain
You are really awesome and your knowledge is incredible. However, your presentation style is kind of starting to feel rough- I love some good cussing but someone as classy as you saying the F word, while vlogging on a very serious and complicated subject, again and again and again) is tacky and non- professional and lacks class. “ I will take you down every time…….” Yikes! I value you and your vlog has helped me tremendously. Just making some observations!
I LOVE THAT YOU CUSS DR. HAVER!! DONT CHANGE FOR ANYONE❤
