This setlist was quite different, but it was a good set of deep tracks for the those of us who are still fairly new to opeth. They have become more textured as time goes on and I appreciate the diverse musical palette 😊
Definitely a more unique Opeth setlist with some good obscure numbers, but if this were my first or the only Opeth gig I'd get to see live, I'd be seriously disappointed. The Heritage guitar sound feels so spineless and weak.
This tour was dreadful. I mean, look at the setlist. Not a single growl song was performed, because Mikael was "done" with his growling. To turn your back on an entire discography that consists of brutal music which made your band big in the first place was an egotistical mistake.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe me stopped growling to preserve his voice? He’s growling now in 2024. Would he still be able to without a hiatus? Who knows. But I think it was a more strategic decision than anyone gives credit for.
Absolutely awful. When I saw them this tour it definitely went down as one of my least favorite gigs ever. It was my first time seeing Opeth and imagine not hearing a single one of the classic growl songs that you literally grew up with. Dumb.
@@evilndarkness I must be one of those insane fans! I don't dig the growling with any band. Still, I dig Opeth a hell of a lot. Åkerfeld is a remarkable talent. His compositions are fine art! Dig his style on guitar too. Well, e - darkness, anything else you'd care to prove?!!👀
This concert film should be released in 4K and on Blu-Ray. The sound and visuals are excellent, not to mention, it’s Opeth. They’re that fucking good.
I'm so happy that I at least got to see Katatonia and Opeth play a Bloodbath encore on this tour.

It’s not that big of a deal to have one tour out of however many they have done consist of only mellow songs.
