Thanks, Chris. I'm so pleased that you thought to document this milestone event. It's very heartening to know that despite the current ecconomic climate, organisations such as the Freshspring Trust are still able to function, and that their work to restore to seaworthy condition, historically important vessels like the SS Freshspring, continues. I wish them well!
A Certified Boiler is what she need most to make her whole again. Making all the repairs to the hull and giving her new paint will make her feel whole but that boiler is what will make her alive and on the move on her own bottom.

I remember Freshspring from my Royal Navy days. It would be great to have a follow up video showing what a lick of paint can achieve!
Thanks Andrew, fond memories of when I visited the ship, still in good condition, whilst having recently arrived at Bristol Docks.
remember her and her sister Freshpool Great Harbour greenock 1968/9 ------------they took water to the Yanks in the Holy Loch

Hi Alan, I don't know, interesting thought
So sad she was not loved for so many years.
Yes, she went downhill fast
What kind of work did she do when active ?
She was a naval water carrier out at Malta during WWII
Many thanks.
