You can also play online with other people which is something I feel the video should have mentioned. But other than that great vid!
110% this. One of the greatest reasons to enjoy this mod. Online play is possible on levels you could never play online previously.

Clint James play online, make skate parks, play thug 2’s story mode even though the controller setup on the PC version doesn’t allow for a comfortable way to get off your board and spine transfer seamlessly
So much for THPS 1 and 2 never getting ported.

Regarding the end, GTA Underground is a similar mod, but for GTA SA. It packs in all the maps from GTA 3, Vice City, SA, Bully and Manhunt complete with soundtracks, peds, weapons, vehicles and weather from the respective games. Like if you fly to Vic City you'll only get GTA VC radio stations etc etc

Tony Hawk 2 with its soundtrack and the gameplay is one of the best.
I'm going to be playing THUG PRO for the rest of my life, whenever I have the urge for some classic Tony Hawk gameplay, it will be there. It is a beautiful fan project, one I hope more will appreciate as the years go by.
Im so happy i ran into this a year ago. This is a true Sequel to the Series. Fan made or not. This is more of a sequel that the past 4 TH games ever will be

Some levels have the S-K-A-T-E letters and the hidden tapes, THPS 3 airport for example.
+ You forgot to mention the level creator that is still here and the online multiplayer which is the biggest advantage of THUG Pro.
Game changed my life in regards to skateboard games, played THPS1 from a demo disk from pizza hut.
Those demo discs were the best

If you do Goal Attack, you can do the Classic Mode goals from THUG 2
This comment needs more likes. When he said you couldn't perform goals I immediately scrolled down to the comments to find someone who pointed this out. It's not available on all of the levels, but the popular maps have goals available.

That was so nostalgic,thank you so much for this video.
Man...so many good memories are running through my head when I see the gameplay and all the levels. Back when me and a bunch of friends used to fight over whose turn it was after our two minutes were up or just having one friend over and staying up all night trying to beat the new Tony hawk game 100 percent while trading off the controller when one of us couldn't complete a task or when our timer ran out. Those were the days.
Online is also a big part of the mod.

Tony hawk pro skater (ps1) days, is a classic. Someone needs to remaster it, like yesterday.

I play through THUG 1 at least twice a year, it only takes a couple hours but it’s worth it every time.

There is a small bit this that's wrong, but for the most part thanks for shouting out this mode, been playing this mod since 2016, and only recently have I started to get bored of it, the game has so much, and is a lot of fun, btw you can collect skate, secret tape, high scores, combo, etc. You just have to play goal attack.
My wife and I have been talking about how good Underground was and we'd love to play it again. This is perfect.

NIKMOE if you were interested in looking at similar projects, there's also Streets Of Rage Remix, it's Streets of Rage 1-3 in one game, you can play as characters from SOR1 with all the improvements of the sequels, go down branching paths to play a map in a different game, or tweak the gameplay to match your favorite game.
It's hard to describe in a comment, but basically it's got everything great about the 3 games in one.
It's also one of the few fan projects to get a C&D from Sega, probably because it makes playing the original 3 games moot.
4:37 You can play the Goal Attack if you get into Local Online Play as Host and you set that play mode in there. (The unique defect is only for THUG 2 Levels from Classic Mode and THPS 4 Levels)

I remember the first time playing Tony hawk it was back in the 99 and i got a demo disc with it on and i was hooked playing that demo over and over until i got some money and bought the game.
Don't think I could ever go back to TH after playing Skate but this looks cool

What I loved about THPS games were the challenges and missions in each level. Finding all the secrets and interacting with the funny NPCs (specifically THPS 3, 4 and THUG 1, 2). It's a shame this mod doesn't include that however I'll definitely be checking this out just for the sake of having all the levels and community levels!

I actually quit the game last year after growing bored of it. There's only so many times I could stand to see the same people do the same crazy combos on the same handful of maps anyone ever picked but after seeing this I think it's time I headed back and see how things have changed.
(I really hoped things have changed because honestly if I have to play on college again I'm going to go crazy.)

THUG PRO is the game that we deserved, not Tony's Hawk Pro Skater 5
A couple of days ago someway, somehow, a coworker of mine were talking about this game and reminiscing. I unplugged my ps4 and dusted off my ps3 to see if I could find it on the store. To my dismay, my ps3 couldnt even play ps2 games and I couldnt find it on the store. Curious as to other ways of playing this, I wiki searched the game and lo and behold, next to the psp version(which doesn't have the level editor) was THUG Pro. I fucking loved this game as a kid and playing it again as an adult and making levels again, god I love this game so much. And the soundtrack 👌 👌 🔥
One thing I miss about it is the lack of a full fledged career mode for SP. I'd kill for that.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is still my favorite skating game. I really like going through the career mode, collecting skate, getting the high scores and the various other small objectives throughout the levels. It's what's kept me coming back to the game to replay it. I've been turned off by ThugPro as i tried THPS4 online back in the day on PS2 and i got wrecked. I need the objectives to keep me interested, but that's just me :)
I'm in a similar boat. Prior to ThugPro my go to was replaying all the objectives of Tony Hawk 3 in an emulator on PC.
What changed my mind on Thug Pro were the levels that let you complete all the gaps, it gave me something to actually do besides freeskate.
I still have the PlayStation 2 version of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4. I could play it anytime and any day

You can do classic mode for THPS4 maps and THUG2 maps, by playing the goal gamemode
The Neversoft Tony Hawk games are some of my favorite games of all time. Thug Pro is really awesome and captures what was great about those games. I still get on it from time to time. I skate under the name Bailey Jay if you see me on there.
I love how modding used to be seen as the equivalent of hacking and some companies didn't want to be associated with it, but now modding has the power and community to not only keep a game and its series alive, but they feel more well-thought out than the base game in some cases. ThugPro is the epitome of that.
How do people with less money and experience than you, do a better job than you? Damn Video Game Industry, lol.
