Holy moly!!!! This is THE BEST apple pie recipe I have eveeeeeer seen. I used to work at Monntgomery Wards corporate offices in Chicago and they served the best hot apple cobbler in their cafeteria. I used to buy a double portion with my lunch!! Gosh....I`ll never forget it!!!!! Your apple pie looks so scrumptious!!!!! Congratulations in what you do. You are a delight....thank you. Peace and Love from sunny Greece.✌💗
I have used this recipe a few times and it always comes out so so good! My family and friends always ask for it now and are so excited to hear when I’m making it. Thank you for this 😊❤️
been cooking over fifty years ..NEVER have heard of cooking the apples beforehand.....and now it seems all recipes recommend...at least this young man gives an explanation...therefore I shall try his recipe!
Thank you for the fantastic recipe! I made this for Thanksgiving of 2016 and really found this to be a fantastic recipe for pie. The caramel really gives it just enough extra sweetness that most apple pies lack!
THAT LOOKS AWESOME. I'm peruvian so we don't do thanksgiving or apple pies on christmas (because in south america its summer!) but i'm really thinking about making this for my family!!! it looks great, congratulations!
Most definitely the desert is my favorite part of Thanksgiving or any holiday.. And then after that would be homemade dinner rolls.. I could eat homemade bread all day.. Took me a long time to learn how to make it and it takes all day to make it.. Lol.. But it's well worth it..
So delicious looking, what a great recipe, apple and caramel ! I do the same, I always place my pie on a baking sheet, you never know if it will overflow a little........thanks for sharing Kaleb :)
Thank you for this recipe! I'm having Thanksgiving at a family members house so I'm gonna at least bake and bring this pie over if I'm not hosting so excited to try this!!
I made this yesterday for thanksgiving I was so scared I was going to mess it up. This is sooo delicious and sweet. I'm so happy I gave this a try. I didn't do the pie crust from scratch because I was cooking a million other things. I eventually want to make my own pie crust from scratch but I never have good luck with dough it's either too sticky, too thin or too much flour. Anyways I definitely will be making this pie a lot more often. Best Apple pie ever! 💗
I don't think I have ever made an apple pie without cinnamon. I don't see that in your ingredient list but I do believe I see it at 2:05? Let me know...I will be making this tomorrow for my SIL's birthday. It's his favorite sweet dish. Thanks for sharing! Hugs...Stephy
Have you ever tried Carmel baked beans? They are easy to make.. You could even use canned baked beans to make them.. When I'm in a hurry I use Bush's original brand..
I should have read the previous comments because my pie was very runny as well. I suggest following Shane Saddlers directions. Mr. Wyse should probably redo his video so people like myself don't ruin a pie. Also if you don't want this to be a salted caramel pie then don't add the salt. This pie tastes pretty salty. And if you use His caramel recipe that he suggests if calls for 2 T RUM. If you use the Rum it will taste like butterscotch rather than caramel. If you want caramel then leave the rum out. Also his video has no baking times and temps. I baked mine at 425, covered with a flat sheet of foil for 25 minutes and then removed the foil and baked it for an additional 15 minutes. It was a a perfect warm brown color. Another thing I did, was get some leaf shaped fondant cutters. I pressed out some caramels and cut them into leaf shapes. After the pie cools almost all the way I put them on top of the pie. It was so beautiful!! Be sure not to put them on too early in the cooling process or they will melt and just look like blobs of caramel.
Liz, I’m sorry the pie turned out runny! I hate to think you wasted so much time and didn’t have something to enjoy afterwards! The baking temperatures should be on the full recipe in the description below the video or on my website wyseguide.com.
talented pastryman. regular apple pie just ain't enough flavor. borders on the boring. apple caramel is a desert you would definitely like a second slice of.

Where do you get calvados? And does it taste like apples? or just brandy flavor?
😋😋💖💖💖👍...yummmmmm
Could you tell me what is Calvados ??? and where do you get it. Thank you.
Rosalie Kiff calvados is french brandy made out of apples
The printed recipe doesn't state cinnamon on the website. Just a heads up! Happy Thanksgiving Caleb!
What kind of apples do you use?
I do expect an answer . This was 8-9 years ago , have you changed any ingredients or amounts ?
Who won the mixer?
