How to Make Roller Bottles | Diluting Essential Oils

- To make a roller bottle you want to add your essential oils of choice and then top off with a carrier oil. Depending on who you are making the roller bottle for will depend on how many drops you will need.

ROLLER BOTTLE DILUTION CHART
This chart is based on using a 10mL roller bottle.
Newborn-6 months: 1-2 drops
6 months- 2 years: 1-3 drops
2 -5 years: 2-5 drops
5-12 years: 5-10 drops
13 and up: 15-20 drops

I did 35 drops of YL lavender and fractionated coconut oil in a 0.27fl oz bottle.
I really enjoy the soothing smell and it helps me calm tremendously.

I have a video for a roller bottle for anti aging and several of the oils in that blend are great for skin tone! Oils I would suggest are frankincense, rose, helichrysum, and yarrow.

Hi for the roller oil, shouldnt dilution be around 2% for topical use for adults? for 10ml that would be around 4 drops of essential oil.

How often can i use roll ons essential oils during the day or for example a headache? And can i use essential oils as a daily thing but also wear perfume or is it not good doing both?
You can roll them on often, especially if you aren't feeling well or trying to help with a certain aliment. Being consistent is key! If I ever have a headache I will roll if on every 15 minutes until the pain is gone. You can wear perfume with essential oils. However, I do have a video talking about homemade perfume with essential oils, you should check that out!!
Great videos.. I love them. I have one question. For kids newborn to 6 months you said 1-5 drops. Do you mean in total or 1-5 each essential oils? ..I have a baby boy 4 months old and a baby girl 1 a half. So I just want to make sure I'm doing right .
Yosselin Escobar 1-5 drops total. You could add 1 drop of each in the blend you are making.
So, I can put up to twenty drops safely in a 10ml for myself? 10 drops as advised barely create a noticeable scent.

Thank you for this wonderful video! Quick question, do these roll on essential oil bottles have to have any type of preservative to last? What makes them last for at least a year? If we are making these for other people, how can we make sure they won't have mold or bacteria after a while or expire?
They don't need a preservative.

Yes they are photosensitive and shouldn’t be used in direct sunlight.

If I make my own essential oil by adding oil + the plant in a jar and leaving it for weeks, do I have to add drops of the essential oil just like this video or do I have to add even more because I diluted the plant in the oil? Aww congradualtions!! There are so many oils good for labor...some of my favorites were lavender, frankincense, and doTERRAs balance blend. These oils are all calming and helped me stay relaxed during contractions. Clary sage and myrrh are known to jump start contractions and can be rubbed on the stomach and ankles when labor slows or stalls.

After you put in your essential oils, fill the rest of the bottle up with a carrier oil.

I have seen a lot of recipes of focus. I’m interested on a focus blend for my 9 and 12 year old for school. I don’t need an energy boost, on their focus blend. they have it. Lol. And a recipe for me menstrual cramps. Thank you.😀
Rosemary and frankincense are great for focus! For cramps you should try clary sage, it works great!
I made some roller oil perfume but the scent didn't last how can l make them to last for about 6 months and over

Can you teach me how to sterilize the bottles so I can put my oils inside?
I just refill the roller bottle with the same blend and I don't clean it in between. If I am switching to a different blend I will just rinse it with hot water.

Neat oils do not mean that they are. Ok for direct application. It means its pure.

Do you double the carrier oil if you use two different essential oils together?
No. Dilution is the same. 3-5% is safe for adults. If you want to use 3+ essential oils, mix em in a glass beaker or something and then use a pipette to put 6-10 drops in the roll-on bottle and fill the rest with a carrier oil :)
