a lot of times, ships or bases will have catwalks or such which prevent you from placing anything to block the turret, best thing to do it activate your jetpack and fly left and right while getting close to it as fast as possible, the turret doesnt rotate that quickly
@@badgerwildgaming6908 I know it is. As it Taught in basic training and in the police academy. But they use breaching shields and or cover fire instead.
Found it accidentally when I raided a ship for reactor parts offline. Was cutting a pannel on a player made npc ship and "surprise!" There was a turret staring at me but it didn't fire thru the framing.
ya missed Xocliw's stream dude!!!!! wipe on the 8th meaning update is just round the corner :P sadly i wont be able to enjoy update on launch ill be away workin :'( ah well somethin to look foward too later on hehe .... and nice tip i never tested this out and you can use the grinded blocks on the way too if you go in with no components O.o truly a good idea to cough * ( steal new stuff ) i mean defeat turrets XD
@JUNIsLuke no just for this update. I believe it's for just the official servers so everyone on them starts at the same place when the new proto tech comes out.

Ya the corridor blocks are the best defence against the pannel trick.
I always end up grinding my way under the floor to get the turrets! This is a cool idea though!
I usually do that too but with the new update we're going to have to be faster to beat players/factorum.
Bounding over watch with 1/2 panels in SE. Nice.
It's a legit move I tell ya.

@DawgSoldier well this is more like deployable cover but a riot shield mod would be awsome for space engineers.
Sadly I cant make mods for shit.
yeah, I have done this with blocks to cap those cargo ships that go full booster if you don't remove their rear engines.
Its a interesting process to deal with interior turrets

I'd like to see it in survival mode.
I can do that.
Grinders should only work with your grids in vanilla
But then you'd have trouble getting into bases and such. Plus if your qualified to put it together your more than qualified to take it apart.
I haven't found a ship where I could put down blocks.
Some times you can just have to be creative.
Could you put a link to your how to get on board a ship (that is hostile)?
Heh I'll do a set of videos cause that's an indepth topic

Wait SE does server wipes like rust and those type of games?
@@JUNIsLuke no its the first wipe in ages for server upgrade/update for performance and new content ( the servers need the love too )

Not me using heavy armour plates as an extra little big of floor armour blocking off this trick ;)
I just grind until I'm on top of it can't attack you from the base.
Ya I've been there playing space ground hog before.
