@Steve Field Thanks Steve! I appreciate it :) Yes watch time is something I was going to talk about in this video but I forgot lol.. All my videos have about the same watch time.. 6-10 minutes per upload and it does matter yes.. but sometimes the CPM is still low for some reason.

When I was generating lots of views it was low, now when I have less views it high. 🙄 Unfortunately I have infrequent audience as my automotive content are new cars. Also my audience is mixed worldwide. But many countries with low CPM. But still I make living out of it like you. I am happy and grateful for that. Still learning trying to shorten my videos. And struggling to get new content as many car salons don’t see benefit and are closed to UA-cam. But as I generate more views that changes. And I get more followers. He's doing great, but before anyone out there thinks that this is easy, well, look at all the content and editing and man hours Mike has put in. If you're not passionate about this then you'll burn out. Fortunately, Mike has the necessary passion AND personality to make this work. Watch time effects your revenue more than anything. If your video gets 4min watch time vs 2min watch time. You effectivley make double. More mid roll ads and higher watch time.

Autovlog, I'm curious why you chose the wheels - actually the wheel specs that you did. I've no objection to the design. I dislike the excessive negative offset. I can appreciate the deep dish, but the tires look too far apart. Your truck is doing a Claude Van Damme split. The lift should have offset the wider and taller tire's need for clearance. Why do you want them sticking out like the hubs on a Ben Hur chariot? Sure, you like them. It would interest me understanding the decisions you made. I just don't get the wheel choice. Otherwise the truck looks good.

Download a file recovery software and you may still be able to get the video back.
So you spent roughly $8500 on the truck but are just short of that in revenue, so in 6 weeks with the truck your net profit is zero. Or less. The videos will continue making revenue but as you said its never as high as when the video is fresh. If you factor in all the money you've spent on this and the Benz against how much total revenue you've made from all videos I don't think you're making career-level profit. I could be wrong. But this is expensive content to create because you've got to do fresh and expensive mods.
Nice to see someone talk about what they are making on YT. It's a lot of work to do all the video recording and then editing... So I'm glad you're making some cash! I'd love to make some money off my vids, but I never get enough views so YT doesn't care about me, but I still enjoy it... Thanks for sharing. It just goes to show that you can make a living off YT, but you have to do quite a bit of work and make sure your content is decent. Truck looks very nice too man!

Thanks for sharing some inside data on how much money your videos generate. I used to get a small amount per year but need to get to 1000 subs before they start paying me again. I have found UA-cam to be a great tool for selling new Raptors though so I have to give them a big thanks for that. The problem I have now is I've got the watch hours but gaining subscribers has been a slow process. Any tips on how do get a lot in a short time frame?
This video gave me good inspiration. Only started about 2 months ago. Almost on 100 subscribers. But I guess I am doing it for the passion and not the revenue. Revenue will come after!

He's transparent, yes.....but don't forget, transparent vids are huge moneymakers too. It's kinda like a magician showing how to do his tricks, often more popular than the trick itself. I'm not so sure of the whole "deleting the video" part.....and then inserting his fellow vloggers link where we can "watch" it.....Perception is reality. BTW, UA-camRS don't mind haters, it creates buzz, buzz creates money. There is also a difference between having an opinion on a vid that you commit to watching....and being a "hater."

Hey Mike, that content proved to be extremely informative & interesting. One question however, I don't think you ever covered how and when the truck's running boards were removed ?!? On one video they were STILL mounted and the next video they disappeared ?!? For some odd reason after asking subscribers their opinion on whether they should stay on or go, they simply just disappeared from the F150. Can you clear that detail ^UP^ Yo ?!? -THX!

I have a 2010 f150 4.6 3v xl super crew 6.5 ft bed. Eco boost 2 bar grill, eco boost bull bar, oem raptor head lights and tail light, tri fold bed cover, fender flares, k&n drop in air filter, 18x? American racing wheels with 325 something nitro terra grappler 2 all Terrains. Get a lot of compliments but have to say fords quality has really dropped off and wish I had bought a tundra instead. Dreading the day I have to do the timing set on this truck bc of the cam phaser issues. Can’t say I trust Ford these days.

Show people what it takes to create a video that earns your paycheck from UA-cam. After all, time is $$$ also...
I.E. What you go through for setting up the video shoot. How many cameras, where they're located, how long it takes for the shoot and then showing the editing process Start to Finish.

Mike, as far as I can see it, you are not at $200 loss. Look at it as a long term investment, you've done each video once and now, after they cover your expenses, you'll start getting profits. Also, having fun from what you're doing can be considered, not in monetary equivalent, but still a profit. As I said before, keep on doing what you're doing and I will try to repay you by adding my likes for enjoying your videos. Best of luck!
That re-taking delivery video did not do as well because it was clickbait. You say it wasn't but the viewers felt it was. You figured your truck was fine, the law disagreed. In that case that video experience viewer abandonment. You have a better average CPM than many UA-camrs with 30 times your subscribers. Those clickbait videos can poison your revenue, the best thing to do is to try to avoid that issue in the first place. Speak with your UA-cam rep. Good job on making quality content.

I have just purchased the same faux Raptor Grill from American Trucks. I am having issues with the lights. Have you had any as well? Right now, sometimes one works, sometimes 2.
Sounds good I used to have a Borla on an a F-150 until I switched to a Chevy! Since then I have only used Flowmaster's! I like the Flowmasters much better but I did like the Borla because anything is better than stock!
@AutoVlog I would also like to see a video on how you clean your F-150. I saw you use a sprayer of some sort with a cleaning solution. I simply would like to know a faster way of cleaning without risking damage in a carwash. Thanks! Keep making new videos.

UA-cam payout has changed, it has nothing really to do with view count per say, it's all with the ads seen, if a subscriber has the option to not have the ads show on their devices, you the channel holder get nothing. I went to a UA-cam event in Toronto with a friend and heard all the changes, this was in 2017. In a few years it's going to be even harder to make money on UA-cam because of coming changes.

That truck is illegal in PA. Dealerships sell those exact trucks lifted with 22s where I live. Factory tented Windows. No problems.

I think a levelling kit would give the truck a better stance from the front, my friend did it to his truck and it made a big difference. Instead of the front of your truck being lower than the back of your truck, it would be equal height with the back. But other than that I love the truck!!! it's awesome, and you should do what you want to do with it.
Your Truck looks sharp! But In my opinion it needs about a 2" lift on the front end to make it level, I personally don't like the nose dipping down, love your videos...

Suggestion for a soon future vid: get the polisher out and do a thorough compound/polish/top coat of the paint.
As to the revenue side of your channel, my understanding of part of how they pay you is you make more if we viewers let the ads run all the way thru to their end. So I do let them run, because I enjoy the content of your channel.
