For me it takes the factor out of the possibility of say the front or rear loosing up and throwing a shot, or a ring being out of spec. I dont know, I believe for me its 2 pieces securing the scope or 1 piece, less to fail, I know its slim but still. Also, I move scopes around and it feels quicker to be able to swap them around from bolt actions to AR styles etc. I know thats not really a sound explanation but I believe it just boils down to prefrence
I love your rifle. I have the bergara b14 hmr in .308. But why would you use a scope mount instead of some nice set of rings. Beautiful rifle

1 piece mount is more secure, I’ve banged around my badger scope mount dropped my rifle and it still stays dead on
