My personal first responder setup, built on the Savotta Kukkaro There is more stuff over on Reddit, it's not just me throwing out ideas and information. / savotta
I'm going to straight up copy this setup. My first aid in my car just isn't as easily mobile as I'd like it to be. This is a genius grab and go system that is dethatched from needing to be part of a backpack system, but can still be carried in unison with one. Thanks for the explanation, and I love you how always turn things inside out and show (not just tell).
Just ordered mine directly from Savotta yesterday evening largely due to your video on it 😄 25L in black hope it arrives in time to field test it for some hiking in Poland next Monday. Anyway thanks for your awesome videos and so cool that Savotta hooked you up with one. Soon you will be their full time influencer 😂
I'm glad to hear it man, you will not be disappointed :) And I don't know about influencer, I don't know what I would classify myself as. Backroom couch guy? Wait.... no....
It's nice to finally see your Medical Belt setup, You spoke about it alot in both of the Kukkaro videos. It's fantastic, and like all your stuff, so well thought out!
A million apologies for the delay, I am starting to get a pretty long list of videos to make and I am having a hard time keeping track. I started a new notebook for it though, so I should have an easier time from now on. And thank you for the kind words, I'm actually really glad that I found some folks to show my little projects and gear to
Have you experimented with the hip belt of the Jääkäri L/XL? I'm wondering about the possibilities of converting it into a usable daypack while in the middle of an otherwise longer hike. It would be very useful to know what the options are. Thank you for the effort you are making to help us with our Savotta products!
You know I've been wanting to test that out but I haven't gotten to it yet, I'll do that for you and get back to you right after the Kahakka craziness dies down
Hi Tim, I’ve bought the Kukkaro and 2x2 GP pouches after seeing your video (you’re Savotta’s best advertiser), but I find that the pouches sit very close to the pack - so close in fact that the adjacent sides squeeze each other. A video of exactly how you attach them would be very welcome. Thanks again for your excellent videos!
Thank you for the kind words friend :) So they do sit rather close, but the bending of the belt around my waist puts them in great position for me. Zippers would be a problem, but I just make sure they are on the "correct" side and free. I will play around and see about a solution for you though, we might not be the same body type or carrying style
@ Thanks a lot, buddy - it’s a good point that they’re not worn on a line but curving around the body. Keep up the great work with the videos; I’ll never get tired of your level of detail and new ways to utilise these great products.
Long story short: the Kahakka is much more of a backpack, whilst the Hatka is a very simple little daysack, lightweight and utterly functional when paired with a larger pack as a quick detach daypack.
I am on my way to grab my Kahakka 15L from the GLS drop box at this very moment. I will go through all these comments and take some notes on what people are asking before I make a video on it. Very soon though don't worry. And to Savotta, I will make sure to include all of your answers around here. Thank you for all the help :)
I made some friends here while I was traveling, and I just kept extending my stay. It ended up with me moving into the room upstairs from the guy who is now my best friend 8 years later.
best savotta reviews on the internet well done sir!
Coming from a cool guy like yourself, I will wear it as a badge of honor :)
Thanks man

Are the side pouches 2x2 or 3x3?
I'm glad to hear I could help, let me know if there's anything else I can do. And these are 2x2, the 3x3 is doable but pretty large for the setup

Nice set up. Everything is right where you will need it.

Thanks Nate :)

I'm just so in to what I'm learning while that happy lil' guy is in the back staring at me, just happy to be here.
Seriously one of the greatest pieces of engineering on the planet. How can you have a bad time with that little dude around?
@@Tim_Keys "we need a feeding port.. let's make it a happy face!" *laughs in finnish* And thus, magic happened!
Its nice to see Magnum PI doing reviews.
This is a very nice vid! Like an answer to my questions (referring to my suggestion on your earlier video). Can't wait for that Askare loadout tho!

Great 👍
What make and model are the handcuffs? 👮
Smith & Wesson, but I'm not sure of an exact model
@@Tim_Keys Thank you for your answer, Tim 👮🏻♂️
Do you live in Hungary by any chance? I see stuff in there that you can only buy here
Slovakia, but I get my medical gear through a login-based professional supplier so the options can get pretty interesting sometimes
@@Tim_Keys oh, I see! So we're neighbors! How did you end up there? (I think you said that you came from California?)
