My $0.02 worth of constructive criticism. The reason the person picking up got suspicious might very well be because when Ashton was standing in front of the CVS and finished a phone call with Kevin then Ashton tilted his head down to speak into the microphone and lifted his hand up to key the microphone. This is way too obvious that he is in 3rd party communications. If I was a lookout for Kevin, that would have been a definite red flag. After all the trouble that Trilogy Media has gone through to set all of this up, a simple little detail like this Is more than likely why the pickup did not occur. It may be a bit of a pricey expenditure but Trilogy Media should prioritize the purchase of a proper professional police grade open mic setup. One last piece of advice would be to not have Art sitting in the right front passenger seat holding his cell phone up, plainly visible, video recording Ashton. To solve this, Art has only to move his phone down to his lap and record Ashton from his lap. Problem solved. Art's cell phone would be totally visible from a distance. Another red flag giveaway. Of course the mule became suspicious. I work in the law enforcement industry. The points I brought up are core fundamentals. Good luck.
Another thing. They made an entire ordeal about this package being off the books, no tracking. And then when the guy said leave it(Ashton should have) he is adamant that he NEEDS a signature. Why do you need a signature for paperwork that doesn't exist in any system? Utterly stupid
Scammers will scan anyone who calls them for assistance, not just seniors. It's the seniors who are Not tech savy and trust that these people are truly helping them. The news needs to run a segment on this, explaining how the scammers get to people. They need to inform never let a stranger connect to their computer, or phone, without researching and calling the real company with a reliable source of businesses. This is what you need to be working on. Informing the people of many cities. Newspaper articles, news segments, anything where you can reach the public.
I think it would have been nicer not to reveal at the end. Let the scammer think they got scammed. Every time a scammer finds out they've been baited they can write it off as an annoyance where they only lost time, but when they think it's legit, they think they've lost 20k, 40k, or whatever outrageous amount they just 'scammed' someone for. That hurts much more.

You guys are so amazing. Couple months ago my 89 year old dad was scammed. Thank God it wasn't much. But they had him go purchase a card for 450.00 to pay his own bill. Call them and gave them the card info. He has learned so they won't be getting him anymore. I wish it was easy to lock these people up. But it looks like they continue to get away with it. We need to educate our elders not to give money to anyone they don't know. Just like how they thought us not to speak to strangers.
At that age you should control his finances/bill paying and give him play money for what he likes. Leave financial decisions to you or other trusted family member.

That was awesome to tell the scammer that they were getting nothing, seriously I'd just left him believing he just lost 40k without letting him know it never existed and the scammed target was himself. A guy literally got out of passenger seat and stood in the middle of the parking lot recording with his phone, how dumb lol. I had watched one when it got nasty because the chap looking after the complex and some old people got sworn at and threatened by Art and Ashton. It was disgusting and I said so. I also watched a glitter bomb which didn't go the way it was supposed to. I stopped watching, but then thought I wold give it another go. I haven't changed my mind. These chaps are useless at planning and undercover. They look at it as big boys game with whooping, shouting, swearing and hi fives. The same (and better) retribution is gained by Jim Browning, Pierogi and Kitboga doing far more damage with style and calmness.

I thought that likely too until the Amazon packages and the trilogy people not thinking she was part of it while looking her in the eyes themselves and being experienced. Also the scammer was super insistant on the tracking specifically so someone else can time the grab. Wonder what age her daughter is, there's been a problem over here of teenagers being lured into being mules for money laundering too for example.
@@Bozebo I guess that last part is probably because being young they tend to be both reckless and overvalue money as they have no free access to it otherwise, they also tend to be more impulsive and short term in their thinking. This no doubt makes them far more vulnerable to bribery at a far cheaper price. It probably would not be that hard to convince most teenagers to do almost anything for $1-2k at most. Hell when I was a teen I might have been tempted to sneakily swap out all of the parts in my computer for far better ones given that opportunity as I would not have known better and would have been tempted by the thought of more money than I'd had in my hands in my life. Don't get me wrong I'd have known something was wrong thus the sneakily part but I am not sure I'd have thought through the wider consequences properly especially under the influence of a deceptive adult, I mean there is a good reason why children are not allowed to work or consent to certain acts as adults can manipulate them easily.
I love your videos! I've been watching for a while. In fact your videos helped me identify a scam email my 60 year old mother got a few months ago. It was an email about how to "recover your Apple ID". The email address wasn't even from Apple and there were a lot of spelling errors. They wanted her to scan a QR code to go to a specific website. I told her its fake, showed her how I knew it was fake and she immediately deleted it. She was locked out from Apple ID because she forgot her password the day before she got this email and she still questions how the scammers even knew that. So thank you very much and keep up these videos!

I think the mule was that girl you guys spoke to! Nobody else finds it a hell of a coincidence that she gets a shit ton of boxes delivered all the time? I understand that shipment was from Amazon but she said it happens all the time and who knows it could be all different companies or carriers. Also, all those deliveries could just be a cover-up for when she sends the other package with the $ back to the dessert. 🤷🤷 Some of the smartest scammers and criminals are right in front of us every day
Yeah, she was readily coming up with commentary when they offered alternative explanations, kinda like those interrogation videos. Like "oh yeah maybe they just come by and grab the package!" "Oh yes my neighbor is elderly!" "Oh yes there are a lot of empty apartments!" and also questioning "how is it a scam"

I absolutely love you guys for this work! Even back in 2003, I was 17 years old and I fell for a money scam thinking I was going to build up my credit... Then came all The Wire transfers and things like that. And I knew something was up but before I could back off, I noticed $400 disappear...yup, 400...they still use that amount.
That was something! Glad you got to take down some more money mules and you have someone else who can get the word out about scams. I know two people, both older, who have been scammed, one scammed twice, and it really sickens me. The only thing that is going to make them go away is if their profits dry up and the only way to make that happen is educating people and hope they listen and don't fall for it or disrupt their operations like Trilogy, Ray, and Chappy do. My sister had that happen to her. She called the police station gave them them the address when she found out. And she called FBI they never got back they told her that they were a Probably already gone. She said the address the time they were to pickup the package. They didn't help her at all. You guys are great thank you for what you do

I relate too. In 2016, my home took 3 feet of water and after firing our contractor for doing shoddy work, we started fixing the house ourselves so once a money, we rented a UHaul truck and went around picking up supplies. Driving one of those takes practice, but I eventually got it. One thing is those trucks don't have good crosswind stability and can be touchy on wet pavement. Glad you were able to pull off this bait and take some mules down.
I must admit, sometimes it is hard to watch cause you guys swear....a lot. But I understand why. The passion is real so I just watch as much as I can handle swearing wise. But one thing that made it totally worth it was saying, "that's the funny part, I know exactly who you are. You don't know who I am" LOL When you said this and cracked up that was gold!

You guys are so amazing. Couple months ago my 89 year old dad was scammed. Thank God it wasn't much. But they had him go purchase a card for 450.00 to pay his own bill. Call them and gave them the card info. He has learned so they won't be getting him anymore. I wish it was easy to lock these people up. But it looks like they continue to get away with it. We need to educate our elders not to give money to anyone they don't know. Just like how they thought us not to speak to strangers.

At that age you should control his finances/bill paying and give him play money for what he likes. Leave financial decisions to you or other trusted family member.

That was awesome to tell the scammer that they were getting nothing, seriously I'd just left him believing he just lost 40k without letting him know it never existed and the scammed target was himself. Ashton should have just told him come and get it if he was using a burner phone where no address could be had where harm could result by enticing the scammer, then just hang up leaving him to believe the fake 40k just slipped from his hands. Great work guys, keep em busy bevause every hour they waste entertaining you guys and your audience is an hour they cant try using on the vulnerable victims they seek. Peace ✌️.

Imo I hate how much ego they bring into the video it prevents them from making legitimate goals. If they had just hidden in the van more, 5 people in the van to a exchange? cmon.. 2 people walking up to the door, cmon.. Camera on the chest instead of hidden camera . A guy literally got out of passenger seat and stood in the middle of the parking lot recording with his phone, how dumb lol.

I had watched one when it got nasty because the chap looking after the complex and some old people got sworn at and threatened by Art and Ashton. It was disgusting and I said so. I also watched a glitter bomb which didn't go the way it was supposed to. I stopped watching, but then thought I wold give it another go. I haven't changed my mind. These chaps are useless at planning and undercover. They look at it as big boys game with whooping, shouting, swearing and hi fives.
The same (and better) retribution is gained by Jim Browning, Pierogi and Kitboga doing far more damage with style and calmness.
Chappy was an unstoppable force on this one! The text messages at the end had me cracking up too

I thought that likely too until the Amazon packages and the trilogy people not thinking she was part of it while looking her in the eyes themselves and being experienced. Also the scammer was super insistant on the tracking specifically so someone else can time the grab. Wonder what age her daughter is, there's been a problem over here of teenagers being lured into being mules for money laundering too for example.

@@Bozebo I guess that last part is probably because being young they tend to be both reckless and overvalue money as they have no free access to it otherwise, they also tend to be more impulsive and short term in their thinking. This no doubt makes them far more vulnerable to bribery at a far cheaper price. It probably would not be that hard to convince most teenagers to do almost anything for $1-2k at most. Hell when I was a teen I might have been tempted to sneakily swap out all of the parts in my computer for far better ones given that opportunity as I would not have known better and would have been tempted by the thought of more money than I'd had in my hands in my life. Don't get me wrong I'd have known something was wrong thus the sneakily part but I am not sure I'd have thought through the wider consequences properly especially under the influence of a deceptive adult, I mean there is a good reason why children are not allowed to work or consent to certain acts as adults can manipulate them easily.

I love your videos! I've been watching for a while. In fact your videos helped me identify a scam email my 60 year old mother got a few months ago. It was an email about how to "recover your Apple ID". The email address wasn't even from Apple and there were a lot of spelling errors. They wanted her to scan a QR code to go to a specific website. I told her its fake, showed her how I knew it was fake and she immediately deleted it. She was locked out from Apple ID because she forgot her password the day before she got this email and she still questions how the scammers even knew that. So thank you very much and keep up these videos!

I think the mule was that girl you guys spoke to! Nobody else finds it a hell of a coincidence that she gets a shit ton of boxes delivered all the time? I understand that shipment was from Amazon but she said it happens all the time and who knows it could be all different companies or carriers. Also, all those deliveries could just be a cover-up for when she sends the other package with the $ back to the dessert.

Yeah, she was readily coming up with commentary when they offered alternative explanations, kinda like those interrogation videos. Like "oh yeah maybe they just come by and grab the package!" "Oh yes my neighbor is elderly!" "Oh yes there are a lot of empty apartments!" and also questioning "how is it a scam"

I absolutely love you guys for this work! Even back in 2003, I was 17 years old and I fell for a money scam thinking I was going to build up my credit... Then came all The Wire transfers and things like that. And I knew something was up but before I could back off, I noticed $400 disappear...yup, 400...they still use that amount.
That was something! Glad you got to take down some more money mules and you have someone else who can get the word out about scams. I know two people, both older, who have been scammed, one scammed twice, and it really sickens me. The only thing that is going to make them go away is if their profits dry up and the only way to make that happen is educating people and hope they listen and don't fall for it or disrupt their operations like Trilogy, Ray, and Chappy do. Keep it up.

My sister had that happen to her. She called the police station gave them them the address when she found out. And she called FBI they never got back they told her that they were a

Scammers are some of the crappiest people in the world. This is definitely a serious topic but in saying that I was laughing throughout. The way Chappy was talking to him was priceless. She did a great Job. Then when the comment was made in the van about turning Ashton on…I lost it. Right at the end with those texts 😂😂😂. I think ‘Kevin’ finally got the message at the very end. I relate too. In 2016, my home took 3 feet of water and after firing our contractor for doing shoddy work, we started fixing the house ourselves so once a money, we rented a UHaul truck and went around picking up supplies. Driving one of those takes practice, but I eventually got it. One thing is those trucks don't have good crosswind stability and can be touchy on wet pavement. Glad you were able to pull off this bait and take some mules down.
I must admit, sometimes it is hard to watch cause you guys swear....a lot. But I understand why. The passion is real so I just watch as much as I can handle swearing wise. But one thing that made it totally worth it was saying, "that's the funny part, I know exactly who you are. You don't know who I am" LOL When you said this and cracked up that was gold!
