MY GOSH I crossed my lines once in my 20 years of kiting. But this was an ALL DAY kook show!!!! How can there be so many?!?!?!!!! ROFL!!! What an incredible collection! Had to take 10 years, right??? Looks like just a one day event!
This is the type of shit that deters me from wanting to learn how to kite board surf or any other water sport imagine learning and messing up only to find it on a UA-cam video with 700k+ views that would fucking suck
I actually don't understand why this video has so much dislike. This was really funny! And I'm a little shocked that I'm the only one understanding that it was a joke in the beginning.. xD
"...If any of them had been flying best kiteboarding gear, none of this would have happened". O RLY? There were a few best kites there, like at 3:28 for instance.....
ER...this is what happens to most people when they start off with kitesurfing...get used to crashes, wipeouts and twisted lines and slamming the kite on the water....lot of snobbery in this sport, but suppose this is what its like in most things when you are starting out....
@Photoshop Guy these are some of these crashes are the same type of crash that are very dangerous and can put you in hospital if it takes 10 leason for you to get to the point where you don't kite loop drag hourself sown the beach anymore then those people should just get 10 leasons. Otherwise they are risking themselves and everyone else
@Photoshop Guy yeah thays why i'm saying it should be a video about "why you should get lessons" other wise its creating not necessary risk for everyone else. If you teach people these crashes are ok they will go out and hammer them selves to they get it right or severally injury someone else when they could just get leasons and avoid half of these crashes anyway.
This is the BOMB for Kite experience's we've all been through to some degree or more. Let's hope your degree's are less and glad no one was seriously injured in these 'kite-mares'. Thanks for making the 'Hit Video' of the Year so far!
it's not thier mistake it's yours actualy , you can simply give them some tips wich help theme a lot for example don't forget to close the diflate valve:)
i mean if they decided not to get lessons that's their fault. if they don't know where the deflate valve is they need more then tips they need a lesson or else they are gonna hurt themselves or others
why would these guys waste their time helping people who don't care enough to get proper instruction? They are literally sitting on top of a huge kite school while filming. Lessons are available.
A lot of this is just simple mistakes. Not older equipment. Any kite that is under inflated will not perform correctly even a brand new Best kite. Simple pump gauge will fix that. I’ve been kiteboarding since 2006. We were flying “C” kites with no issues.
The guy at 2:27 & 4:08 is a phenomenal kiter from the NW coast. If you continued the filming him for another 5 sec. I bet he had that Mako on his feet, looped his kite & gone shooting off. If that's the worst you say about Ocean Rodeo... there you have it. BEST should try and sponsor him, but I don't think he would.
I like the guy, who jumps into the wave at 2:28'. Nice trick to avoid get smashed by the waves in the face ;o). We have to bodydrag sometimes as well, because our starting point is a bit covered and the wind at the beach is aweful.
After 12 years of kitesurfing I can tell you that each one of this accidents can happen to anyone...complacency or inexperience the end result is the same: bruises and cuts!
you can't compare windsurfing with kitesurfing. windsurfers risk nothing unless they are extreme surfers. Imagine you have your sail 25 m up in the air. You don't have the same control. I do bought.
What wind would you expect to learn or ride in then? From what I see it’s less about the wind and more about the lack of experience. But hopefully you did learn to kite
This video is boring. That said, Axel & Slash were a match made in heaven. They were perfectly suited for one another. Now I came up on sum gangster ish, but I remember being a little kid watching G&R music videos on MTV & VH1 and thinking to myself, "this dude with the top hat is the coolest white dude I've ever seen in my life" 😎 🎩
Which kite school equipped and taught them how to kite like this? Or did someone release a kraken and cause all that chaos. Nice to see how they really take care of their paying customers/guests. Looks like there was no supervision at all, except for the goof ball filming all the carnage. He is the instructor right? No blood and sharks though, just some crying.
Ray B.; Just like the early day of hang gliding there was NO ONE to really learn from, just whoever showed up and was willing to share their experience with you, to my memories everyone I ever met were very Cool people and happy to help. A lot of people would build their own glider from a set of plans in a magazine from 1" conduit or bamboo, or 2" x 2" Douglas Fir for the leading edge and keel, while relying on mylar or plastic (drop cloths) used by painters, which would tear during flight - so we would repair it with a couple of layers of trusty duct tape - and a prayer to the 'gods' to not let them crash and burn too badly, LOL !
I remember one where a kite surfer in Florida got lifted pretty high off the beach and slammed into a building across the street a couple of times a few years ago.
None of those, that I could tell, had anything to do with using the "latest gear". All of them were down to competency. Limited ability and bad decisions.
Adrian Smythe; Those items will always add up to having your skin sanded off your butt, face, or body, let alone being thrashed by the rocks. Good thing about all this is at least the 'sails' and inflatable wings do not have any 'hard' parts like hang gliders. In the early days of hang gliding a lot of people went to the beaches to learn how to fly a hang glider, and when they got off course would either land on top of a group of people on the beach or slam into the sand just short of someone and then flip over on top of them, hitting them with the leading edge of the 'kite' or the keel, which could end up leaving a nasty bruise or a fractured bone - so at least with the modern 'sails' there is far less chance of damage to beach people.
I've been kiting since the early days when we got the first kites from Wipeka ... and I tell you now . ..I am more than capable of fucking up like this.
it would be better to teach them how to quick realese but you choose the way that you disparge beginners there . Kitesurf is fun but can be dangerous .Please take it serious !
I agree, this just went to my bucketlist. Hope I find a fellow kiter who is childish enough to try that with me. (Obviously somewhere where we dont crash into other people doing and failing that)
This the problem with kitesurfers when they crash, they are dangerous for others riders or people on the beach. When we windsurfers crash, we don’t hurt anybody.
There are exactly three windsurfers shown in this video, not a single one of them being in any danger in the slightest, just gear caught in shorebreak. On the other hand, there are dozens of kiters getting wracked up, endangering themselves and others, wrecking their gear and looking like idiots. As a windsurfer, I'm offended by my sport getting lumped in with kitesurfing. Here in Hawaii, kiters are always getting their gear stuck in people's trees, and then they complain about "those kiters and windsurfers." It's not the same. Windsurfing is not nearly as dangerous. It takes far more skill, and as a result you develop a much greater knowledge and respect for the wind and the water, IMHO. I sail at one of the trickier spots on Oahu, and I'm friends with most of the kiters there and respect the skills they've developed o handle the conditions. But even then, one of the more skilled riders got his kite caught up in a tree recently. And there was a kiter who got taken to the hospital in an ambulance just a few days ago after crashing at one of the "safer" spots on the island recently. New gear may be "safer" than old gear, but I'd prefer a sport that is "safe," period. A dangerous situation should be a rare, rare, rare occasion, with injury even more rare. Most kiters I know have several horror stories to tell about their kiting experiences, and I've witnessed plenty myself without even doing the sport.
Warren Hardy these guys probably all learned in warm holiday regions with its gentle steady breeze and distinct lack of waves, tides, gusts, shorebreak and shit weather. They probably never ever had to pull their safty or sit at the beach and drive home as the conditions were too difficult. I don't think any of them have got a good judgement about when things could go wrong.... Tbh most kites in this video look horribly overpowered. Also why the fuck do virtually all of them try to steer the kite/pull the bar in when things go wrong, why dont they just let go of the bar and regrap it once the kite left the powerzone? this makes 0 sense.
Holy shit, i can see myself how easy i can get in the same situation as some here on video, probably luck follows me :D Btw is it wrong if i check my lines 15 times? "normal" people do it 1-2-3 times :D
MY GOSH I crossed my lines once in my 20 years of kiting. But this was an ALL DAY kook show!!!! How can there be so many?!?!?!!!! ROFL!!! What an incredible collection! Had to take 10 years, right??? Looks like just a one day event!
In Miami we just smoke a joint b4 , too many Jean Claude Van Damme’s on that beach
This is so fun, I like the people stretching out the beginning that’s actually even funnier
Best boarding gear my arse. Whoopdie do, your sponsored, we get it.
fun fact - nearly every other brand in this video, except best, is still in business... ;-)
I know. What happened?
@@e.g.7977 Today they are Eleveight

To be fair, dude at 2:50 almost pulled off a killer move, before joining the kookslam reel.
Same thoughts
Nice to know that our beach is not the only one way up on the kook meter!!

I actually don't understand why this video has so much dislike. This was really funny! And I'm a little shocked that I'm the only one understanding that it was a joke in the beginning.. xD
Back in the day before YT and silicon valley went Woke, your comment. Now we can no longer see 'dislikes'. How lame.....
Not often you hear bumper music from a recognizable band on YT. Cool. Idiots and kites and Guns 'N' Roses! Well done! 🤘
Funny video.....actually thinking about learning how to do this .....looks challenging but fun!
This makes me not want to kite in La Ventana. lol

One crashed into the ground like a fucking missile
I love it . This is like watching at a boat ramp..Thanks
I guess the guy dissing beginners never started somewhere.
Yep they were born kiters for sure^ even this thing not even exist when most of us were born))
When I heard the into music I clicked the like button. This is gonna be good.

or you get lessons XD
@Photoshop Guy these are all very avoidable crashes with basic leasons
@Photoshop Guy these are some of these crashes are the same type of crash that are very dangerous and can put you in hospital if it takes 10 leason for you to get to the point where you don't kite loop drag hourself sown the beach anymore then those people should just get 10 leasons. Otherwise they are risking themselves and everyone else
@Photoshop Guy people are welcome to practice by themselves once they have reached a point where they can do so safely thats my philosophy.
@Photoshop Guy yeah thays why i'm saying it should be a video about "why you should get lessons" other wise its creating not necessary risk for everyone else. If you teach people these crashes are ok they will go out and hammer them selves to they get it right or severally injury someone else when they could just get leasons and avoid half of these crashes anyway.
this is my new favorite kite video
Great edit! 😂👍
Great video. At most it looks like some parish went on holidays and that day they had planned activities 😀
This was awesome. more please. More. MORE. MOAR! RAWR!
was nice to see best sit and film instead of help, even when one of your own kites was failing …...

Lame video
Sorry Best (worst), those kooks wouldn't be flying any better on your latest gear. I've seen much worse on best kites.
that was such a lame thing he said
Joshua Smith from his tone, I got that he was kidding.
0:46 LOL! I can‘t take it anymore.. that’s actually enough already
A lot of this is just simple mistakes. Not older equipment. Any kite that is under inflated will not perform correctly even a brand new Best kite. Simple pump gauge will fix that. I’ve been kiteboarding since 2006. We were flying “C” kites with no issues.

Bit much making fun of these people. You can see the wind is really howling. Very tough conditions for anyone without many hours of experience.
When the best part of the video is the audio you know it’s a waste of time.
You sir are an evil genius! Well done
Kite boarding looks fun when you finally get going.
After 12 years of kitesurfing I can tell you that each one of this accidents can happen to anyone...complacency or inexperience the end result is the same: bruises and cuts!
True, these are not necessarily kooks but rather fails that even still happen to pros. For example falling to the front on land when wearing boots.
Best, the sleaziest brand in kiteboarding since.... forever. What a crappy way to treat your customers.
As a windsurfer, these people are a serious liability to others.
You are a liability to the earth
As a MTB Downhillbiker and Kite Surfer: Everyone has to start somewhere

This is very EPIC fails and CRASHES -_-
What was the comment "if they'd had the best gear" bullshit all about? This is just negative and bad vibes here.
Hey at least they are trying. You people judge others way to much. Plus you don’t own the water. GFY
Okay...that guy at 2:51 is killer!
Best kites dont exist anymore 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm not a kiter but want to be. I sure af wouldn't try learning in that wind. Everything they were doing was dangerous 🤣 even the stretches 😂

I would love to give this a go. I'm sure with the very latest gear I could still make these folks look like X-Games pro's.
Was it maybe too windy that day?
Great, Great video,
Was there anything epic in this video? Nope! Was there kooks? Yes!
