Love how pointing their guns down, having gentle blue lights on their face, saying "watch the friendly fire" and "make sure he extracts safely" over the radio and then reassuring him that they are "going to get you out of here" in person isn't enough for Jerma to not stop, look, ask himself if they are hostile and still decide to shoot first with no sign of hostility. Just imagining Jerma sitting in a dark room listening to the angler theme from inscryption. Holly slowly opens the door and steps into the dimly lit room, Jerma’s face only slightly being illuminated by the soft blue glow of his desktop. “The trapper music… the.. trapper music will never…. Never be played… not on my broadcast….” He’s mumbling over and over to himself. “Jeremy, sweetie, it’s been 4 days… please.. please come out of there and stop listening to that song, I miss you.. we ALL miss you” Holly pleads. Jeremy stares into the screen and doesn’t respond. “Well… can you please at least eat some of this steakum I made you?? You haven’t hardly been eating a thing” she asked as the tears began to well up. “Not… not on my broadcast…” he replied. Holly slowly walks over to the computer and sets the tray of food down in his desk next to him and as she gently kissed the side of his head, she could hear the eerie chimes of that damn “Angler theme” coming through the headphones. She brushed her hand through his hair, it hadn’t been combed or washed in what looked like weeks, Jerma didn’t even move or respond. It was as if Holly wasn’t even there. All she could hear was that damn song.. that stupid song that had taken control over him. Suddenly she became panicked, “JEREMY PLEASE, PLEASE JEREMY COME BACK PLEASE WAKE UP. I NEED YOU WE ALL NEED YOU” No response. She began to silently cry even harder and she turned her head to the screen. “Inscryption OST - The Angler 24hr extended version” is what it read and the same video was cued several times in a playlist. Holly became desperately enraged, set off into an absolute state of panic, fear and anger she grabbed Jeremy’s cat boy headset and ripped it off his head as quickly as she could. Jeremy reeled back in his chair, his head shot back and he looked up to the ceiling, his mouth agape as he screeched as loudly as he could, it was louder than any sound any human had ever made before. He began to lean back in his chair whilst still screaming until he fell back onto the floor. Holly kneeled over next to him and began smacking his face repeatedly, “Snap out of it!” She pleaded. “Snap out of it right now, Jeremy! Please!” He had just began to violently shake and convulse on the floor when finally.. he stopped…. Jeremy laid motionless on the floor.. his eyes widened and mouth agape.. he stared at the ceiling. “Jeremy…?” Holly quietly whispered. “…Jeremy.. are.. are you back..?” In one sharp deep inhalation it was as if all life had been returned to our favorite streamer at that moment, in an instant he shot up sitting upright and turned to face Holly. “Where… where am I…?” He said with a look of pure utter confusion and worry on his face. “Was I streaming..? Did I have a bad stream..?” He asked his beloved. Holly instantly broke down into tears of joy as she wrapped her arms around her favorite compact man, sobbing uncontrollably. Still shocked and confused, Jeremy held her tightly as she cried into his arms. He wasn’t sure what had happened but he finally felt relief. He was free. Finally. Free at last.
