I bought one for my wife in 2013 when they put it on the showroom floor as a 2014. I loved the 2.0 TD, and gently persueded her toward this model after taking it for a test drive... fun car.
It's had its issues and quirks. Had to replace water pump/timing kit at 70k, like everyone experiences. Some issues with DEF sensors/heaters and oil leaks... Right now it gets driven about 3-5k mi./year.
It is a solid car that will end up being my son's 1st auto in a few years. I'm confident it will hold up until then.
Really, for the price I paid then (Well under $30k), you can't buy a new car like that today.
I've been driving a 2013 Cruze (Wagon, 2.0TD) for 3.5 years now, 114,000 miles, hasn't lost any horses and runs great.
got a cruze diesel 2014 black 78k miles two weeks ago. Only had two previous owners while the first one that initially bought it new kept it for over 4-5 years. First day off the lot with my cruze, something with the timing belt and engine messed up loool. Still in the shop to this day but having fun driving a mazda 3 in the meantime.
