Lemon Grove - Teen Struck After Trying To Out Run Trolley

On 10/21/21 at approximately 3:05 PM, San Diego Sheriff’s and Heartland Fire responded to a trolley collision near the intersection of Lemon Grove Ave. & Central Ave. Upon their arrival, they found a male juvenile on the ground after being struck by a train. According to witnesses, the juvenile was attempting to beat the train when he was struck. They stated he suffered a major leg injury and was transported to a nearby hospital. The intersection was closed down for a short amount of time during the investigation.

I know him. He was struck but luckily the bike was it more than his body. He's always rides his bike. Even since Elementary. He was wearing a helmet but was in the hospital because of the shock of the incident. Everyone was scared and even the toughest of guys who were his friends were panicked. We're teens in a big world. Accidents happen big or small. How would you feel knowing that people in town think you're stupid for having an accident. He didn't try to "out run" the train where did y'all get that :|
