Lemon Grove Homicide Investigation (Fatal Shooting)

On September 7, 2024, at about 11:34 p.m., Lemon Grove deputies were in the 3000 block of Lemon Grove Avenue when they heard several gunshots. While checking the business area, they were told there was a group arguing in the 3100 block of School Lane, in Lemon Grove. Deputies checked the area and located a 21-year-old Hispanic male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately began medical aid to the victim until relieved by Heartland Fire Department. Heartland Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital. Unfortunately, while at the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim's name is not being released pending a positive identification from the Medical Examiner's Office.
Sheriff's Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances and motivation behind this death. The investigation is ongoing. At this time, there is no confirmed suspect information.

In front of a school and fire station no less. the dudes that chill by that park in the evening/night are mad weird too. that's trespassing. if cops moved em along this wouldnt of happened. 1 week later cops parked across the street. More lights in that back area now. Unlike last week. Lemon Grove needs better leaders to fix the crime in this area.
