Good work Bode, My uncle said if at all possible you should try run the brake line down low and across the x member letting the master cylinder reservoir be ur highest point and it'll letting gravity work in your favor helps get all the air out of the lines.
I'm sure it's tempting to follow up this with a paint job similar to the Slam Box, but I'd like to see something different. Something dark, maybe with your logo airbrushed onto either door. But it's your machine, I'm sure you'll do something awesome.
About 20 years ago i spoke to a guy with a 998cc Austin Mini Cooper with brake drums front & rear. He drilled & grooved the drums & after going for a drive in it, they performed much better than the 1275cc Cooper S discs/drums! Maybe worth visiting a machine shop & have yours done, Adam. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas & have an awesome New Year!
Looking good so far Adam, as with all your videos it was packed with good information about what you are doing and what your plans are moving forward, I asked my uncle and all he said as he was sitting in his rocking chair sipping a nice cold beer was "no comment" he's a man of few words but they are always wise ones🤷♂😂👍John UK
Adam , there is nothing wrong with running drum brakes . The key to running good drum brakes is to be able to adjust them easy and bleed them easy. I would drill a 5/8 hole in the backing plate directly. behind the star wheel so you can easily adjust up the shoes I also would use longer bleeder screws to make them easy to bleed and run synthetic brake fluid, if you do these things and bleed and adjust the shoes once a month you will always have a Hight hard peddle, what always gave drum brakes a bad reputation. is that they only work well if they are maintained the new synthetic brake fluid is worth every penny because when it heats up you don't get peddle fading. Or a spongy peddle ..
This is excellent advice and I appreciate it very much. I’ll take every thing you suggested and definitely do it. I had a feeling that they would be fine since they’ve been used for decades. A lot of people act like it’s disc brakes or nothing.
Content wise i would love to see a full paint job on this truck, i loved the patina build you did but that might make the videos kind of repetitive just coming off that build. Itd be cool to see you air brush your logo on the side to somewhat change things up a bit but still use the same skills from the patina job. Do what ever you think youll like the best, just my opinion. Love the videos been fun to see you start to blow up the last couple of years!! 100k subs is such a crazy feat, im sure in no time youll hit a mill with the quality of content you put out.
You should move your brake lines below the master cylinder the way you have it will Make it easy for air to get trapped up there otherwise nicely done on everything
🎉🎉🎉😂❤ your videos, on brake lines or fuel lines, I will.use a metal, clothes hangers, I'll Bend it out straight. and then shape. The metal to what I need. On floors, there's always free old washers or dryers people set out. I've pick up, n cut 3 good 16 gauge metal off washers n 2 sides off dryers, wear a mask because of the paint coating.plus it's water rust coating all build it. Just paint.under side ,white to black.
Adam, is it the same price point if you were going with like Ford F 250 or bigger from early 2000...…? Or any other truck from the beginning of 90ies to early 2000....…? Good job, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
a 4- 6 loops pigtail at the master, would have been nice, cupel more drops of brake fluid wouldn't hurt, in a pinch, looks a bit more, factory, too! you could go under the booster and fallow the Trany hump, Boody virgin
Awesome work! Wayne Newton’s law 😅funny stuff
As always, love the videos! One of the best one man shows on the Tube. 💪😎

Not sure what color you're going with but that Seafoam Green has always been my favorite.

Looking good brother 🤙🤙🤙
Thanks man! Got started cutting down the bed last night!
superb
Let’s go
Let's go bode
Lol I thought I was the first on saying oh well
Lol I thought I was the first 1 saying that
I like the green and white, maybe a late model rear end swap ,one with disc from factory.
Joyeux Noël uncle 😉
Next step is a light outside so we can see the work at night!
Will the bottom brake lines get in the way of the HEI distributor when the engine is installed. Looks good so far.
You should move your brake lines below the master cylinder the way you have it will
Make it easy for air to get trapped up there otherwise nicely done on everything
Thanks man! This will be addressed

My uncle would’ve put a hemi in it lol😂
My uncle would have put a Cummins, just sayin.
🤣
My Uncle would have made it a dumper on both ends, just the way she likes it.
My uncle could have done better 😂 jk love the channel glad I stumbled apon it keep up the good work
Yea… something wrong with UA-cam…. I didn’t get notification for last video…
The Dumper... wow. Such a weird name
My uncle though
I know a guy that knows that will do it cheaper
"Your Uncle would have did a better job "
