It could be cool if in season 2 (presuming it gets greenlit), that the narration switches to Katara. Her saying that "My grandmother..." line would make more narriative sense, and it could maybe change slightly to season 3 as well, like she's telling the story of their journey as they go along.

So I was at the premiere. Gran gran didnt narrate that intro, the intro was very different and had a whole other monologue. She did however read a banner at the southern tribe about the story of when the avatar disappeared, and it was word for word the intro of the OG. I would take all of this info with a tiny little grain of salt.
The reason why all these actors are credited in multiple to almost all episodes is the summary intro when they’ll say “previously on Avatar: the last airbender” and they’ll show all important scenes with those actors. I’m super excited!!!!!!! 😆😆😆

Jeong-Jeong is important, because his training is the reason why Aang is afraid to firebend later on. But maybe he will just try it himself without instruction and he still burns Katara.
Ever since Fellowship of the Ring movies and TV shows have been leaning much more heavily on opening prologues because it saves a lot of time on exposition. It could take five minutes to explain something that would have taken five episodes to show. Because we know that they wanted to go a little bit darker and more mature with this live-action adaptation it makes perfect sense to have Gran Gran doing it. I'm expecting a lot of narration/exposition from Gyatso as well.
Upon my viewing I am relatively sure that Yvonne Chapman does the intro Narration. She sounds great! And I think it is fitting that Gran Gran does the classic intro speech given the intro in the first episode of the cartoon, Katara says “my Grandmother use to tell us stories…”

Which in my opinion doesn't mean anything because just because Aang is a avatar, it doesn't mean he's a powerful bender, Katara deserves to make her own choices and learn her feelings own her own, not listening to her own destiny to be with a "powerful" bender just because she thought it was Aang
One thing I'm wondering is, if they bring in Jun this early to track Aang, are they going to expand her role a bit and make her an ongoing antagonist? Like not a major Big Bad, but a background threat that keeps the Gaang on their toes? I'd actually be okay with that
Based on my experience with IMDB, they are not accurate. I'm a huge Daredevil fan as well, so when they teased him to return in She-Hulk, it was originally written that the actor would appear in all episodes, but it's only 2 episodes when finally released. This also happened to some other series. Also noticed that Momo/Appa's voice actor is only in 2 episodes?! I also been watching some cast interviews and noticed that they are putting some scenes from Book 2 without being too obvious. Forgot these scenes, but what I remember is really cool: Iroh's actor shared that in Episode 4, we'll see his backstory. I think we'll also see his dead son in a flashback. Another theory I just thought (maybe this has been told as well) is something will happen in Omashu that will let The Mechanist, Teo and others travel to the Northern Air Temple for a new home. Aang would not agree on this initially since the temples are his people's sacred places. This would be somehow similar with the cartoon, minus the battle in the end.

I think the deserter episode should be place on Book 3 assuming that it will happen. In my opinion, I believe there is only one person that can teach Aang fire bending beside Jeong-Jeong and that's Uncle Iroh since he is in fact the Dragon of the West

I mostly feel like the IMDB credit list is not up to date at all. Like for example, the guy dubbing Appa and Momo is credited for two episodes. Azula is actually credited for 6 episodes, and the episode titles aren't even indicated on the IMDB ATLA netflix page?? Or is it because I'm not in the US, idk? Some things don't make sense in what they've developped as theories. For example, if the Gaang meets Pakku only at the end of the episode called The North, where is Katara's arc with him? We know it's in there, it's been confirmed by footages behind the scenes and the actor playing him. Same goes for the informations we have gathered from the premiere, episode 3 will be put in the first episode of the live action. And the episode titles aren't even indicated on IMDB and I saw nowhere that the episode titles or orders changed?? And the only title that is there is not accurate, because from the list, the pilot isn't named "the Boy in the Iceberg" in this show. And it still makes sense considering the informations we have about this episode? To me, it'll be probably the Zuko flashbacks episode accompagnied with the Blue Spirit part of it, thus adding this dimension to Zuko, right before focusing on the final arc with the North. I also don't understand what would be the point of having the whole Roku/Hei Bai stuff right before they reach the North, but that's just a personal feeling. Also pure opinion, but a lot of these episode titles don't match what the theories are, like Into the Dark when it's Jet, like why? Like sure enough I can't offer better theories but I'm really meh, because there are things that don't align with these theories that we know already. It does make this episode feel "scrambly" like they stuff max plots and characters in it before moving on, which I hope will not be the case. Also pure spoiler, but Lizzy Liu said something at the premiere to someone on UA-cam, which makes me believe the Azula parallel trip theory isn't accurate either. It is also important to note that crediting some actors for episodes is also a contract thing, it doesn't always mean they appear in said episode. Like they could have worked into their contract to be credited for x amount of episodes without even being in there - actually, it happens with a lot of big names or because they got recruted as regulars without being regulars yet (which could be the case for Maria Zhang (Suki) because if book 2 and 3 happen, she will get a bigger role there and they contractually already "bound" her to that demand or something - because it is possible that Netflix does not intend to renegociate the contracts even if they go and make the whole show, given it could be as short as 3 seasons - it could be the same for Lizzy and Azula, and they're credited for the amount of episodes that happen after their first appearance, which would mean Suki appears on ep2 and Azula on ep3. And as for Tamlyn Tomita, she could be credited for all these episodes because... well because she's a big name, and they at least offered her a role as a regular, and not just a guest star, despite her being only in one episode. In this case, it could be the same for DDK, because I have doubts on the fact that Ozai will appear in 7 episodes out of 8, but it's DDK, and it's Ozai).
So, regarding the whole Southern Air Temple thing, some of the people who were at the initional premiere (who saw the first episode only), reported that the first episode did end with the Southern Air Temple episode. I would not be surprised if the next episode started with the Gaang leaving the Southern Air Temple.(Perhaps we might see them reflecting on a bit the revelation that all of the Air Benders are gone.) Since its going for a more darker tone (well, I would say balanced.)
Woot!! I was the 100th like on this video! I was also going to say I heard that the earthbender in the intro was originally going to be Aangs earth ending teacher, but someone beat me to it. 😅. I think they used his design later for General Fong in the episode “The Avatar State”. Funny enough General Fong was voiced by Daniel Dae Kim who is now playing Ozai.

Into the dark as the jet episode doesn’t really make sense cause it doesn’t really flow after the Omashu episode, I’m assuming they’re doing something different with it (my theory is that they’re adapting the secret tunnel episode from book 2, Omashu gets attack and they have to escape through the tunnel. Based on trailer shot we got when Katara Sokka and Aang were in a tunnel.) probably not the whole episode tho.
I still don’t believe that we’re getting anything as far as an episode adaptation from book 2 into season one but we know at least if this is accurate and true information that they’re going to be switching around when certain plot lines happen then how they did in the cartoon
I feel southern air temple should be the end of episode 1 not the start of episode 2. It fits better thematically with aangs return and realising hes the last airbender rather then squeezed in before the kyoshi warriors arc. Either way is fine id just think its a better fit in episode 1

@@uncleirohsteashop there's no way Suki's mom shows up for 7 episodes. That's just not happening. I'm pretty sure it's also confirmed that the southern air temple episode will be integrated into the first episode(and not the Kyoshi episode).
From a thematic standpoint it makes sense to me that the first episode starts with the air nomad genocide flashback and ends with Aang seeing Gyatso's corpse. I could see them showing half of the flashback in the beginning with no context and then continuing the same scene at the end of the episode once the context of the genocide is explained to Aang and to the audience.

Into the dark as the jet episode doesn’t really make sense cause it doesn’t really flow after the Omashu episode, I’m assuming they’re doing something different with it (my theory is that they’re adapting the secret tunnel episode from book 2, Omashu gets attack and they have to escape through the tunnel. Based on trailer shot we got when Katara Sokka and Aang were in a tunnel.) probably not the whole episode tho.
I still don’t believe that we’re getting anything as far as an episode adaptation from book 2 into season one but we know at least if this is accurate and true information that they’re going to be switching around when certain plot lines happen then how they did in the cartoon
I feel southern air temple should be the end of episode 1 not the start of episode 2. It fits better thematically with aangs return and realising hes the last airbender rather then squeezed in before the kyoshi warriors arc. Either way is fine id just think its a better fit in episode 1

I don't think that's them, they don't look like pirates. Also, I think know who those people are but I won't reveal. Also also, you can see in that clip that Ozai fire bends them I think.

Technically yes and no. A lot of what he mentions is accurate but also a lot of it does feel very off.
@@uncleirohsteashop there's no way Suki's mom shows up for 7 episodes. That's just not happening. I'm pretty sure it's also confirmed that the southern air temple episode will be integrated into the first episode(and not the Kyoshi episode).
From a thematic standpoint it makes sense to me that the first episode starts with the air nomad genocide flashback and ends with Aang seeing Gyatso's corpse. I could see them showing half of the flashback in the beginning with no context and then continuing the same scene at the end of the episode once the context of the genocide is explained to Aang and to the audience.

No offense but this is probably your worst video you’ve made. Ur using a comment that took (mostly) wrong and unfinished information to make ur video from, again not tryna be mean but just feel like this video was forced idk.
I’m gonna say this back to you as well… no offense but even if this information were not to be as accurate as some might make it to be that doesn’t excuse the fact that it is still a fun video idea to speculate on what could be happening in each episode. I don’t think there’s anything forced about what I’m trying to put forward here. I saw this guys comment and thought of a good video idea to make. I’ve asked the fans in the community about potential video ideas and I’ve taken two of them and made videos out of them with a third one on the way next week. What exactly do you think is so forced about that if you think it is? Also in defense of cinema, his comments to me come off more speculation than him putting his foot in the ground and saying for a good well known fact that it is all true. Did I also not address at the beginning of the video that IMDb is not the best when it comes to information like this and to take everything with a grain of salt? Did you listen to that part? I’m not trying to rag on you in anyway but it just feels like you’re saying something that doesn’t need to be said. I’m totally open to fair and reasonable criticism my way in order to correct things and so on but it feels like you’re just saying that my video is terrible because I “forced” it. I don’t think so.
He did say at the beginning that it could be wrong...very wrong. He read a comment... found it mad interesting and wants to share with others...whether others wanna watch or not is not in his control. I personally enjoyed it. i dont have friends who love the series, so in a way, this is a way to discuss with others 🤷♀️
