Hard to know why? Why this song? Speaks so clearly to me - enters my mind in all sorts of situations. So down right uplifting! I draw a connection between the main lyric and Harry Dean's Repo Man speech: “See, an ordinary person spends his life avoiding tense situations … a repo man spends his life getting into tense situations,” .
I love this version, I think it belongs to the Rock 'n' Roll Animal tour. During this time, RCA Records was promoting Lou as "The Phantom of Rock" mostly because of his gloomy look, haha. Thanks for sharing this live version!
The best band that LR had ever assembled, which was almost miraculous… but idiot Reed let them walk away at the end of the RRA tour, and was never able to achieve the same musical quality or recognition since…. Way to go Lou!!!..Rip!
How do you think it feels When you're speeding and lonely, come here baby How do you think it feels When all you can say is if only If only I had a little If only I had some change, come here baby If only, if only, if only How do you think it feels And when do you think it stops How do you think it feels When you've been up for five days, come down here mama Hunting around always, ooohhh 'Cause you're afraid of sleeping How do you think it feels To feel like a wolf and foxy How do you think it feels To always make love by proxy, huh How do you think it feels And when do you think it stops When do you think it stops
@@jwall3873 One of the best bass players ever. Anyone who could go directly from working with Lou Reed to funking it up with Parliament has to be good. Legend🤘🤘🤘
All the comments here and other clips, never fail to forget the bass player. Prakash John was right up there with Wagner & Hunter... i fotget the drummer's name, but the made up a unit, and played as a unit, playing to a very high bar of professionality! And, Lou Reed being a narcissist, fired them... way to go Lou... I was never into Reed, I ws into his band-- from high school in the mid 70s to now
Sounds like the bass drum didn't come through, nothing but the snare and cymbals, really. I think this is an audience tape. It's the recorded sound quality, not the drummer's playing that sounds bad. What one can hear of the drums sounds like a cardboard boxes. I don't think they were underrehearsed.
Killer Band, I Saw Them in London Same Tour...❤

A man clearly experiencing the bliss of sobriety

Fabulous 👌🏿
Saw him in Glasgow in June 74 with Dick Wagner/Steve Hunter in band. Great gig but not many people there for some reason?🤔
Don't forget Prakash John on bass!! Ripping that Ric!

Cool picture 😎
I love how Lou is in different mind sets and sings do different….well, don’t live his early drug use but it’s interesting
A true master. As his 1980 album title said - Lou really did grow up in public.

This song/ band feels like a passenger jet taking off and the machine is malfunctioning. Unique.

Siempre tronco, siempre. DEP.
hi friends
Lou looks like he inspired Kiss with his pancake make up
Is that a professional drummer?
Huh?
