Guy that I worked with was in Nam. His outfit was one of the first to mount the quad 50's in the trucks. Said the rate of convoy ambushes dropped significantly. This was a good video, thanks
That is a very well done museum... That is one of the most extensive collections of military equipment I have ever seen... I used to work Aberdeen Proving Ground so I have seen most of the stuff the military has used since the 1970s. These people have some very rare stuff...and it is well-maintained and cared for. The exhibits are well-designed and brilliantly displayed.
Very cool. I am planning a longish ride this fall. Been through Dubois several times, I will have to plan staying for a day this trip. Thanks for the heads up!
I could have watched a couple hours of this. When I was a kid in early 50s I held the small end of the 2 man chain saw 6’ bar, 4cyl so you can’t turn the motor. Must stay fairly level, you know that but some may not. Thanks a bunch for this video.
Thanks for the tour of the military vehicle museum. It was interesting to see the advancements in the vehicles over the years and for the changes in the demand for different types of vehicles. When I was in Viet Nam(1966) I scrounged up a mess of parts and converted a mule from a 2cyl. pancake engine to a v4 Wisconcin engine. What a runner that was! I took the up draft carb and manifold off and installed, an upright carb fron a herculese engine, on each bank. that put out some real power. Good times!! I did 4 years of Seabee active duty and 16 years of reserve time and retired as a Construction Mechanic Chief E7.
For those of us that will probably never get a chance to see this place in person it was awfully nice of you and Hunter too give us this this video of it it's awesome thank you for sharing!!!!!
That is an amazingly awesome place! I would love to visit there some day but thank you very much for the walk through tour. That Gama goat was probably a real pain to work on but looked like it turned out really good. Nice place!
I was blessed in seeing the LITTLE's collection in Northern CA / SFO - largest private. Mr. Little is gone RIP. His collection went to New York. Hope it shines today as it did. His collection was massive and working. His team and work shops were something else.
Great town to visit. Along with the military museum there is the Bighorn Sheep National Preserve. Another great museum and a chance for an interesting drive out to the Preserve lands.
It's good to see you and Hunter out of your work duds. If you were here in Florida, you'd fit right in! The Floral shirts are an everyday reality here!
Thank you for giving us a tour of the Military Museum. My father was in Korea at Chosen Reservoir. I personally knew an MIA in Vietnam. He was 17 years before his remains were sent home. He is now in Arlington Cemetary.
Nice tour... I know some folks who could not walk through the dark Vietnam part... too many bad memories... even choked me up some!! My father came from the WW2 era and I was of Draft age during Vietnam and joined the USAF after that was over... glad I didn't have to go over there! Keep'em coming... though you need to learn to pan that camera a little slower... I know it's hard to remember sometimes, especially when your inna hurry! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
I love this video Clint. I took my grandsons to the Patton Museum at Ft. Knox. We love all things Military. Really enjoy what you guys do. Keep it coming.
Always fun looking at the different types of military vehicles . Went to the Patton tank museum a few times when we went to the machine gun shoot in Knob creek Ky.
Enjoyed the walk through. You did a great job on the goat. Never saw one that nice. You are right they were a POS, never liked driving down in the whole. Actually saw one get swamped by a giant 12 inch (yes inch) wave . Thanks and keep up the great vids!
Outstanding, thanks for the walk through!! My grandfather was in WWl Army, Infantry, and my dad WWll Navy, Destroyer DD474 and myself US Air Force, C130’s, so you hit a home run here with me🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Curious your thoughts on the track systems and how they developed over the years, and developed into modern day tracks? Thanks for sharing!!👍🇺🇸

Thanks for the tour. I really love the WWII stuff, from the greatest generation of Americans! Those people sacrificed their adult youth to rid the World of Evil and Tyranny driven by some really bad people. Enjoy and read or watch documentaries about WWII history.
@ 26:16, I was kinda surprised to see the Allis Chalmers M7 Snow cat since there are only about 30 known to exist. I've seen 2 different ones at tractor shows. One was at our local show when we featured Allis Chalmers, and had the M19 snow trailer with it.
I knew you were talking about the Gama Goat as soon as you described it. US ARMY 1973-75 Ft. Hood Texas. Flash floods would take them down the river when crossing.
Did you ever go over to the Patton Museum at Fort Knox when they had all the equipment there? I think they moved most of it to Fort Benning a few years back. Thanks for the tour!
Clinton, in that context, G.M.C. will usually have the dots and mean "Gun Motor Carriage" The M-18 Hellcat was designed, in some small part, by Harley Earl of Buick, but it carried a Continental radial engine.
Cool vid. If you ever get a chance to get on Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri, they have a US Army Engineering Museum that had a pretty decent display of construction and combat engineering equipment.
